Great games no one remembers
Great games no one remembers
Shame it's dead. I know comparisons like this are cancerous, but it's amazing how shit like this goes under the radar and Overwatch gets hyped into oblivion.
The whole marketing plan on that game was tortanic level of catastrophe.
Never liked the genre myself, and the license use added slat on the wound, but people I know who do like the genre praise it.
I actually enjoyed this game even though the maps were kind of shit.
...
...
I like it, anyone else here played it?
me and my friends played the demo of this for weeks
i was the only one in my circle who bought the game. i liked it
Funny because I saw more than a few people that thought Overwatch was some kind of spiritual sequel to Shadowrun
...
I have that game.
fuck yeah!
Anyone with any kind of taste in JRPGs remembers this game. Its one of the best from the probably the best era of the genre. I really wish they were coming out with a remaster/remake of it instead of FFVII,
Sup Forums is too underaged to remember this.
my nigga
>great games
>trailer rapes the lore to death within seven seconds
Why bother using an established universe at all if you aren't going to use it's rules? It sure as fuck wasn't to cash in on the name since history has proven no one gives a fuck about Shadowrun outside of an RPG narrative.
I could have forgiven it all if trolls didn't look like such shit and the filthy keebs weren't objectively superior to every other race in every way that matters.

The only reason this game failed was because of its name. People wanted a new RPG Shadowrun and they turned it into a FPS. If they had just came up with their own IP it would probably have had sequels.
>Tfw using the taser on a guy for a couple of minutes
I had the Game Boy version.
I own this game for the Xbox 360 and never had Xbox Live
the costomization was super deep, and it had a literal ton of secrets.
...
I spent so many hours playing this game
MICKEYS FUCKING PISSED
The whole series except maybe 4th title.
I can't stand JRPGs and even I remember Vagrant Story
There were some maps where if you sat in a corner, the audio would warp and you could crash the game. I always did that if i was the last one left or losing
Why did it die?
...
A VR game like this would blow my dick off.
I fucking love this game
That game ending tho
The panther showing up was true fear
I liked this game so much when I borrowed it from a friend I tried to burn it onto a CD-R. I was young and retarded.
...
This game was incredible at the time, I played it with mods on PC a few years ago and it was still breddy gud
I remember this pretty well, bought it again off PSN to try beat it this time.
Fuck insector catching.
...
i have two copies of this game for unknown reasons.
...
this was made by FromSoftware and has a lot of the same sounds and style as Souls
Animal crossing, but with magic, high school and shit to do.
Also groovy music.
Can you still play this online? Fuck I legit liked this game, one of the 360s first solid shooters, besides Halo 3 of course.
...
Tried to start discussion on Sup Forums multiple times, in my opinion the best Treasure game, the best gameplay hybrid and one of my favourite gaming experiences.
all I remember is that dwarves were pretty badass but everyone was a huge fag and played as elves with katanas

My nigger.
World overtaken with fog, causing monsters to come out and shit too. They were basically yugioh action games.
stupid fucking game
>point and hold button to win
>KILL THE FLYING FUCKING WHALES
stupid shit, fuck your taste Sup Forums
dreamweb was awesome, too bad it was so short.
I teamkilled katana elfs
do people still play shadowrun 2007? might be worth a torrent to relive them free demo days
not even the best treasure game
...
At certain times of the day. 6 to midnight US time
Pure pay2win.
Pure fun.
I have good memories of this game. Played it more than Banjo Kazooie. Pretty great soundtrack too. youtu.be
I rmember user. I will always remember
An action game that did guns and swords 2 years before Devil May Cry, and the setting/humor is incredibly similar to God Hand.
The intro tells you all you need to know.
youtu.be
Vangers.
1998 Russian voxel-powered open world driving sci-fi/drugs RPG. It is straight up one of the weirdest games you will ever play, and seemingly incomprehensible at first. Eventually you wrap your head around what everything does and whats going on, and you're left with one of the best goddamn games ever.
On Ijji
Still my absolute favorite intro

>And be on the lookout for Shogo 2!
Monolith should take some of that Shadow of Mordor money and go back to finishing Shogo 2
It's a really fun 1st person brawler and weird as fuck. I can't believe I'm using this word, but 'stonepunk' describes the art style of this game very well.
please tell me I'm the not the only one that played this
Yeah I remember that terrible fucking game.
you're the only person who played that.
>will never gust a faggot katana elf or dwarf off a building and they die from height
>throw strangle and watch faggots bounce around in the air
>jump teleport glide to safety
>anti magic grenade trolls so they cant get hard
>use that amazing amazing rifle
>or ressurect a bro in the heat of battle
>ever
>ever
>again
this was my top played 360 game for years
>pc exclusive
Throw it into the fucking garbage.
Friends still play it on LAN when we make one. Occasionally over Hamachi.
Naaah as I said, Tortanic level of marketing mismanagement.
On top of license misuse: Vista only when it was still new (later disproved when a simple fan patch made it playable on XP), GFWL shenanigans, cross play issues, crucified for multiplayer only and lack of maps, and I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting a few issues.
Backwards Compatibility when?
>tfw you'd play the Shadowrun Demo all the time because you were poor and couldn't buy shit
I played the sequel, it was fucking weird as shit.
EVERYONE FUCKING REMEMBERS GUNZ THAT'S WHY THEY JUST MADE A SEQUEL YOU FUCK
That was shit
I liked it, but my English wasn't so great at the time, so I can't remember the ending or why they had to race to find him, only that Pluto got kidnapped.
Captain Blood. The Original when you're hunting for clones of yourself to prevent your death, can make planets explode by the push of a button and communicate with extraterrestrial lifeforms using a system of simplified icon-ideograms.
One hell of a weird game. Probably one of the reasons why I became a linguist.
Plus cool soundtrack.

I played Shadowrun with some old namefags way back when the game came out
I miss those times, it was fun
yes
It's not. It was released to Xbox at a later date
...
...
AAAAAAAAAAA Why did you remind me of that.
I had some fun playing it, but it died down really quickly. I still remember a post from a developer that went something like "We don't know why a lot players are leaving, but we're trying our best to get updates out!" and I just felt bad for them, they weren't ready for the Steam F2P crowd which abandons games in droves a week or two after they launch ;_;
>the real Final Fantasy 13
>got very little marketing and very few sales because it's eternally stuck on the FPSbox 360
Suffering.
>no one remembers Panzer Dragoon
People literally pay hundreds for physical copies
damn this hits home
>Opening cinematic and a bunch of art had chainguns
>There were fucking never any chainguns
FUCK YOU
Also my favorite game
...
...
The xbox was full of these great games that never got the attention they deserved because it was their first console and the xbox never really caught on besides halo until later in the 360s life. The original xbox in particular has a fantastic library. If you dont like shitty jrpgs for autists or nintendo shovelware for manchildren, the og xbox had a stellar library of action, racing, platformer, shooter games etc.
looks like a metallica album
xbone port just got confirmed with multiplayer intact. The sequel or whatever is probably cancelled at this point
fuck off xbot
there's plenty of other games that are better on the other home consoles
I was really interested in this when it came out but never picked it up because my 360 bricked
>I remember watching this like it was yesterday
youtu.be
>2008
Hold me
>The new phantom dust gets canceled
>Then uncanceled, except
>IT'S NOW JUST A REMASTER OF THE ORIGINAL
I'm so fucking hype. You can fuck up remasters sure, but it's a lot fucking harder than fucking up some shitty remake or far future sequel.
I grew up with this shit. This game has my favorite soundtrack of the 16 bit era.
It's some funhouse mirror shit to see the developers behind this eventually go on to make Hyperdimension Neptunia.
