They have lines of enemies and shit but your bullets don't naturally flow through them so that they can be stunned and dashed through. It's like the archaic Mega Man mechanics make it less playable, ironically

If it were more like Mega Man X this really shouldn't be a problem

Crowdfunded games are pretty hit or miss. You've got some good stuff like Shovel Knight and Undertale where they were gonna make the games anyways and then you have shit like MN9 which was just a blatant cash-grab.
