There are literally no games on the console decent enough to warrant playing them online for more than a month. To be fair. Most PS4 games even today were developed for for the PS3 and then ported to the PS4.
Like Persona, Star Ocean and Nioh just to name a few.

PC is not a walled garden like a console. So how are they going to implement such a feature? Locking your internet connection out of Windows 10 unless you pay? Sure, I'll stick with Win 7.
They can try to consolize PC, as they have tried to do many times, with their own store, Xbox arcade version for PC and such, but Steam and competition overall destroys that concept, and this is why they focus so much on their console, because there they can freely charge for online, ask for platform royalty and such.

They did the same thing with dx10, and no, they cannot force publishers/developers to abandon win 7 support unless Win 10 is a massive success which replaces the older OS in marketshare, which isn't truth so far. Steam numbers have Win 10 having an edge over 7, but we don't know exactly who are the 10 owners, are they just people playing via craptops playing DotA? Are people who built their PCs using Win 10 or Win 7? Are the people who buy tons of games on which OS?

that's not an accurate comparison, PS3 version runs at 25fps while on PS4 it's 60. Also twice the resolution on PS4 and it has better visuals.

I would much rather they do this, than sit on increasingly stagnating hardware for 5-10 years, holding everyone back, and then release a new piece of hardware that nobody really knows how to fully take advantage of until the hardware is outdated again. I think if this model works for cellphones, it works for videogame consoles. I usually upgrade my PC every 2-3 years anyway.

Because Neo is almost literally no different than the regular PS4. Games are UPSCALED to 4k, not TRUE 4K.
Meanwhile, Scorpio will have TRUE 4K and has 6 tflops. Neo will lose because of this. So im saving my money on Scorpio.
