I only hate bad Japanese game like Star Ocean, or Japanese Games with either shit settings or shit story like TMS.

Japanese devs are stuck in the 90's and continue to re-inroduce the same tired tropes into their video games for decades now. They refuse to innovate and are becoming increasingly bankrupt and obsolete as a result (Konami, Capcom, Fucking Ninendo).

If you want true video game exploration, evolution, and ingenuity in modern day video games you look to the west. Even primarily Japanese video game devs and companies are beginning to realize this (Kojima).

They just shitpost in Japanese game threads because there's no western games worth talking about most of the time.

Japan's dev scene peaked in 2005. Add the 2007 financial crisis and the 360's success, along with the convergence of PC and console gaming titles. The West becomes the main market, to the point Sony moves their HQ to the States, and Reggie becomes the face of Nintendo. The glory days of Japanese gaming are gone.

I like Japanese games, but the writing in some games really bothers me.
It feels embarrassing, especially during cutscenes, to the point where I wouldn't want anyone to walk in on me playing it.
