Eternally underrated as both a fight and a theme:

Never played Persona or Okami or even owned a PS2, but whatever:

It's so intense yet uplifting at the same time.
It's as if to remind you how far you've come to get to this part of the game and how well you've performed thus far but at the same time how much is at stake if you lose.
It's perfect.
From BFBB as well

Just saw this comment on Youtube:
"This song somehow manages to capture everything the player feels during this fight. The intro used bongo and others to remind the player of Patrick, and then other instruments begin playing to remind the player of the environment and that it's not Patrick, it's some horrifyingly large robot set on killing relatively anything crossing it's path. There's also the sound of electric wiring in the back, because robot, and the pacing is steady, adding tension by being quick, but adding intimidation by being slow, and the overall high pitch and childish instruments reminding the player that Patrick is still a child, and to this psychotic robot, killing is a game. Then the song grows in intensity and volume, the choir sings louder, everything gets even more frightening as the robot shows new powers that may end up defeating the player if they weren't careful.
Good Lord, when a track does all that, you've stumbled onto something great."
Found an extended version:

Really, all of the music from that game was phenomenal. The platforming was tight and on-point, the story was entertaining, the visuals were just as they needed to be, the atmosphere was 10/10 and 11/10 in the kelp forest and 12/10 in the graveyard
The music was freaking 13/10, and the game was perfect.
How did a spongebob game pull all of this off? What was its budget?
great taste my fampai kirby indeed has the best themes

Heavy Iron wanted to make the game for the most recent Spongebob movie but the jews at Activision turned them down and made an incredibly shitty cash in game for the 3ds, Vita, and 360. Fucking sad man as the first movie game was great as well. I would pay out the ass for a true BFBB sequel or even a BFBB remake if Heavy Iron were to ever aquire the rights to make Spongebob games again
What's up with the console wars anyways? Why are we all arguing Mario/Spyro/Halo when we should be arguing Spongebob/Spongebob/Spongebob?
Totally forgot about Splatoon. Some good stuff right there.
The toughest final boss isn't within the game itself, but rather within your own ability to play the game

But all jokes aside, this would make some kickass battle music
Best girl theme coming through

>all those dumbasses who hype up megalovania as live a live'sbest battle song
>not this

I fucking love this song, such a shame no one has really remixed it.
>Big reveal
>Technicolor battlefield
>THIS ISN'T EVEN MY FINAL FORM
>Final boss is best friend
Yeah this one had it all
What's the best Spongebob game, anyways? I've played OP, the Movie, and Lights, Camera, Pants.
Her party should be playable, the game miss the opportunity
OP here.
I've only played the one I posted, but pick me, goy.
Creature from the Krusty Krab is good too. Personally I think BFBB is the best.
Didn't BFBB get a sequel based on the movie?
Yes, and it was pretty good too.
God Flowey was way cooler and both fights suffer for being impossible to lose.
Still, Toby manage to really nail the atmosphere for the fights, if nothing else.

So, what types of music do you all prefer in boss battles, or even just in general?
For me, I like slower, broken (per se, as opposed to the "flow" that you'd get from something Mozart wrote) pieces, and that's not to say jarringly broken, but rather that there's clear divisions between segments of the piece, like maybe a chorus or a choral thrown in to break the monotony. I like a clearly defined and dynamically shifting melody with simple patterns and one or two simple harmonies, with some percussion used when necessary. I feel that that is what creates music that is moving and effective. For instance, a lot of people like Dragonforce's "through the fire and flames" (youtube.com
For me, pieces like and are incredibly moving and are 10/10. I think the best examples of what I've described are (while not my absolute favorites in vidya, they're simple enough to get the point across while still being near the top of my list) youtube.com
What about you, Sup Forums?
Early 2017. It's almost here.
I will never stop posting this song in these types of threads, because god damn this is the best song on the OST.
On second thought, this post might be better off as its own thread.
Should I do that, Sup Forums?

>Revenge of Meta Knight + Dedede

>that fucking sax and chords
music this good doesn't have any business in a nickelodeon cartoon game
Holy fuck, why is this OST so based? Is the game worth playing?
It's easily one of the absolute best games of the sixth generation, and that's saying something when you consider just how good gen 6 was.
This was an add fight done right
>he chose one of the worst pieces in the game to show how good the music is
I guess that actually makes sense
