It has potential to be something truly great, if they fuck it up or not is something only time will tell. I admit I'm impressed with the art and music shown but worry a bit about the lack if gameplay.

If it's good it'll go down in fan game history, if it's shit well its a fan game and doesn't devalue the original trilogy at all.

3 really improved on the gameplay with the comboing system. Also just me personally probably but I love the basic DQ style gameplay for some reason. I remember hearing they used the SMT games as inspiration gameplay wise, I'm not super familiar with those games so what they mean by that is something I'm not so sure of.
More mother/earthbound is never bad, such a shame you have all these games inspired by them but they come off trying way too hard.
