Everybody who has played it with japanese people or just people not in your area will know how ridicoulusly deep this game can get

>You've lived long enough to see your childhood defining game turned into a meme for nu-Sup Forums

What are you implying.

>people think Galaxy is better

All these streamers tell me how good it is, so it must be good!

Super Mario Sunshine.

what happened to the sense of weight in most platformers now?

dmc4 playing as dante.
no game comes close to the skill ceiling of dante.

Pretty much any highly technical game has exactly the same skill ceiling as SM64.

You can play your whole life and never get to a point where you were unable to be better at the game, which is exactly like a bunch of other games.

So by "high skill ceiling" you actually just meant "easy to break game physics".

Oh boy, you sure showed him.

That's exactly what's going on.

Literally no other game can let you finish a level with half an a press

Nothing is being broken. All of these follow the game's rules, and it accommodates extremely high amounts of dexterity and practice. You can't do a fraction of this in Galaxy, the game won't let you. Everything is very linear and rigid.
Ultimately, you can do everything Galaxy can do in 64, but not the other way around.

"Ahh but can you stand on the ceiling in 64? :^)"

>TFW games haven't actually advanced beyond what they achieved almost two decades ago, but people still claim these games have 'aged'

>he will never save all of the a-presses on tick-tock clock

They've regressed. Try doing anything even half as impressive in Galaxy. Better yet, 3D World.
