I regret CSGO as my number one and I'm not sure I'll ever surpass it. I try to keep chugging along in my backlog so I rarely put much more than 30 hours into a game unless it's something I go back and replay.

I bought CS:GO last weekend. First Steam game I ever bought. Had to get it refunded cause it was too hard for me.
Gonna buy Ys Origin instead.
If a game is available elsewhere other than Steam, I will usually buy it there. I don't particularly like Steam, but this still might be somewhat indicative of my tastes.

You're not missing much, but CSGO is better as a fuck around game in unranked or custom servers. If you go straight into comp you're just asking for a bunch of memespouting 12 year olds hyping their AWP shots for Twitch.
