Ancient battles simulator in which you play as general from first-person perspective, focused around pre-battle planning with only realistic (limited) control over forces once they've engaged. Basically you watch the battles unfold in glorious 3D unless you want to lead from the front.

Also, invasion mode where you can set sentinels to defend your already built castle against the incomming enemy crab army. Kinda like a tower defense, but you get to build the arena, set the paths, etc.

Most of the proposed idea ideas would be applicable regardless of if you use "first-gen" consumer headsets, a holodeck or brain-computer interface, though.

You negotiate with merchants for said materials.
You can affect the outcome of a war.
You can make contracts with different nations and hear their stories when they win or lose.
Online features that pit you against other blacksmiths around the world and their allegiance to kingdoms.
Extra you're also a knight that participates in wars

I genuinely think some game devs were lurking and stile my idea and thats where dead by daylight came from or at least helped it along

Monster rampage where you are the monster, punching skycrapers, swatting airplanes and chucking cars to your hearts content. Probably have to wait for a way to simulate your leg movement so you won't have to keep reaching down to wreck smaller stuff.
