Just what went wrong?

Just what went wrong?

The same game with the same lore and the same characters for the 3rd time now
Reused assets and ideas from 6 years ago, now rehashed into shittier examples
Broken as fuck covenants and PVP like always
Extreme linearity that kills any fun in replaying the game
Complete unbalance between the player speed and enemy/boss speed
Complete unbalance between weapon types and magic types
Complete retardation like weight limits still existing, but armor can't be upgraded
Really shitty boss fights and areas apart from a select few

the fact that they've used the same style for 5 years and still have the exact same problems every time.

i have extreme slow down in the starting area when looking in a certain direction (the other direction it runs smoothly). any idea how if i can fix that or if my rig is too bad? im runing the game on lowest settings on intel i5-2500k 3,3ghz, 8gb ram, nvidia geforce gtx 560ti

Thread over. Go home everyone.

Not much. Biggest problems are

>punishing rolls is hard
>punishing estus is hard

>invading is annoying
>less health, less healing
>prioritizes ganks
>seed of a giants tree too easy to get

These are my biggest issues with the game desu. The PvE is a bit linear but it's still absolutely solid. This game is pretty much everything I wanted dark souls 2 to be

First souls game in which I felt bored and it wasnt because "souls fatigue"

I don't hate it I had

I made a pure magic build and now i am addicted to wiping out parties in dukes archives. The game is pretty good.

Working as intended

I hate the

Roll roll attack

3rd time?
>Reused assets and ideas from 6 years ago, now rehashed into shittier examples
It's a sequel yo
>Broken as fuck covenants and PVP like always
The covenants suck but they arent broken
>Extreme linearity that kills any fun in replaying the game
I've replayed the game 5 times already
>Complete unbalance between the player speed and enemy/boss speed
Not really, git gud
>Complete unbalance between weapon types and magic types
Magic does suck in this game for PvP
>Complete retardation like weight limits still existing, but armor can't be upgraded
Weight limit is good, but I agree about removing upgradeable armor
>Really shitty boss fights and areas apart from a select few
Nahh

Total shit, anyone who played bloodborne can tell you this was a massive downgrade. It was pretty bad even compared to das2.
There were so many things that just flat out didn't work properly, and the designs were almost all terrible (including bosses, areas, progression, lore, ect). Most builds and weapons are just unusable because of shit balancing, and invasions are utter shit.

Has there ever been a more retarded post?

Second time, Dark Souls 2 for as shitty as it was mechanically, had a lot of new ideas. Most of their homages to games past were only armor sets.

they patched out the weapon art glitch.

Yours maybe

It was my first souls game, and introduced me to the series.

I found the challenge very satisfying, and was not in the least bit intimidated by the experience. However, the PvP was the steepest learning curve ever, as I was endlessly cut down by full squads of host+spirits without mercy.

t. Hackitaka Miyahacki

DS1 one did well financially.
Bandai Namco contracts them for 2 more games.
Even if Miyazaki is the president now and wants to do something different he is still forced to do DS3.

DS2 and 3 get the short end of the development stick while he focuses on Bloodborne.

It's still a decent game.

>Most builds and weapons are just unusable because of shit balancing

This is the biggest one for me, besides all the things that went wrong with PvP. One of the things that made DaS2 so good was the sheer variety of *viable* builds, something the third game completely lacks. I've lost all motivation to replay the game because of it.

In 2, I made a faith build, an int build, a str/dex build, and a pure dex build without running into major issues. In 3, anything that isn't str/dex straight sword feels like handicapping myself. It's ridiculous how big the divide is.

>pvp is shit
>no replay value
>uninspired Bloodborne:Medieval Edition

They fucked up rolling. Its weird, and I still cant place my finger on it but there is definitely a start-up to it. You can roll to & through infinity and beyond in DaS1 and obviously DaS2 fucked with rolling but once your ADP was above like 90 or whatever it was suddenly it was no longer an issue.

But DaS3 its just.. off..
