The campaign made absolutely zero sense and was a snores fest.

The multiplayer started okay but quickly went south with the inclusion of weapons in an RNG system.

It's the first CoD I've played since the original MW, so I'm enjoying it quite a bit. And it's packed to the brim with content, I'm impressed.

The specialists are lame and add very little depth to the game play. The weapons are just there to give bad players easy kills and the abilities only benefit the player and do nothing to help the team. There's no interaction between the specialists either. It's not like you choose one specialist to specifically counter another. Lastly the character design and dialog they have are just pathetic and childish. Doing the dab in a bright red and gold jumpsuit with clown face paint on is not cool or funny.

You can argue that marshall was not an OP weapon, but it most def had an impact. Also the fucking shadowclaws had that horrible sound effect spanning whole map for a long time.

Its really solid and got me into Call of Duty for the first time. This one hit home with me because of how ridiculous, colorful, and fast it is. I dont really like realism, COD always had pretentions of being realistic and I like how they're just saying "fuck it" now. The gameplay being so fast and smooth becuase of the future fantasy setting is the best choice they could have made.

Multiplayer was initially fun until RNG weapon shit like Destiny
The character and graphics have a very ugly style to them
The characters are so unappealing and the voicework makes it more annoying
Characters having abilities like Destiny doesn't feel right in a COD game either
Movement system is a downgrade from Advanced Warfare

i enjoy the game but the movement gimmicks need to go.

the movement alone makes it pretty fucking cool, weapons are fairly balanced. They gutted explosives and grenade launchers (which had a massive negative impact on MW/MW2) and claymores/c4 which basically made ghosts unplayable

Killstreaks aren't broken as shit snowballs anymore either

Theres a shit load of content too, MP, Zombies, the weird free run mode, the Wager Matches etc.

I always thought that if Zombies wasn't associated with CoD Sup Forums would be all over it. The storyline alone is pretty cool

MX is better than the sheiva for the simple fact that experienced COD players are extremely familiar with it, same goes for the HG and RSA

I think CoD is still a great series, but the yearly releases are burning me out and making it hard to give a shit about the multiplayer when I know it'll just be obsolete that quickly.

RSA is straight up worst sniper in a class. HG has nothing on kuda/vmp dominance. BM weapons are bullshit, but not all of them are straight up upgrades.

SMGs are always OP in Treyarch games but even then the HG is so strong.

MX definitely the best rifle.

The biggest problem was level design. Advanced Warfare was made to be different and required the players to be moving in all directions to get around and attack properly. Black Ops 3 is almost conventional design with the addition of a few shortcuts that can be taken through wall running or boost jumping.

At least in Advanced Warfare there were pros and cons to the weapons to make it a little bit fair, this is just having different weapons that you can't get unless you get REALLY lucky or spend a lot of money.

DLC guns were introduced in BO2, but at least they came with the season pass. There is literally nothing that makes the black market ok.

Pretty much this. I'm not a big fan of CoD games and skipped almost all of them exceptf or MW2 and AW. I played AW after giving the series another shot and I thought the movement system was pretty fucking good. Game itself still had things I disliked about the series but I managed to have some casual brainless fun with it.

I expected BO3 to step it up but they slimmed down the movement system. I still consider AW the "best" modern CoD game so far and by best I mean playable. But honestly I can't really speak for the other games because the games are not my style.

Multiplayer was okay at first, but the novelty of the specialists quickly wore off and now most of the special weapons and abilities are annoying and cheap as fuck.

Most of the maps are crap, objective game modes aren't popular at all for some reason so only boring old TDM is playable.

Treyarch are incapable of giving console and PC versions their own unique weapon balance.

Controllers users pretty much get their own aimbot on PC thanks to the insane amount of aim assist, destroying the skill gap and movement mechanics in the process.

God awful optimization on PC, have to keep settings on Low just to get an almost steady 60fps even on high end PCs.

Also, microtransactions and locking OP guns behind an RNG paywall.

Zombies is ace, gobblegums and rechargable buildable weapons are neat additions, Der Eisendrache is the best map since Mob of the Dead. Shame about the server disconnections though.
