FE9 was a solid game all around (assuming you're playing the jap version with an english patch), but FE5's level design is much better and that's the most important part of a SRPG to me.

If you actually wanted to discuss which game is the peak of the FE series, then you should have argued your perspective rather than just name a game. So that's probably not what you're going for. Why did you really make this thread?

You are objectively wrong. FE peaked at 5 and most gbakids don't realize how dumbed down the gba games are compared to the SNES.

With the Iago and Hans chapters will they open the door by themselves? I don't have anybody with a resistance anything like what's needed to tank that many ragnarok sages, so what it's looking like is that I'll have to deal with one side at a time

They have added some new layers since then, like I don't recall berserk staves being in pre-GBA, but Thracia adding rescuing was great, I'm still mad that shelter is a specific skill, and not usable by anybody

No. They did nothing to fix the glaring issues present in the original versions, like the poor distribution of new Pokemon and the bad level scaling.

They are casualized, consolified arcade versions of the original game. That doesnt necessarily mean that they are bad, just that they shoulve carried a different name.
