Witcher 3 has a mediocre battle system, but story, progression, atmosphere and that fucking card game are fun. 4/5, fuck y'all.

By no means is the game perfect, but it is leaps and bounds better than most adventure games out there, especially Uncharted 4.

You might hate the story, and you might hate the entire cast, but there has to be something for you in the game.

Speaking of The Witcher games, I tried the first game but stopped after an hour or so because of two problems: A.) The combat feels meh and isn't so exciting and B.) You have to read a book or something like that just to get a body part of an enemy (like for example, an Orc's brain)

So my question is, did The Witcher 2 and 3 solved my problems or not?

I bought it on monday and I really don't like it. half the characters have autoaim bullshit and the balance sucks ass.
The maps aren't particularly well designed either and there isn't a whole lot of content

But that's good, that's a good part of the game, reading up on enemies and preparing potions for encounters. More games need to have this

The only things the books reveal is weaknesses to fight certain monsters, since Geralt has his memory mostly back in 2 you don't have to do that but there's still besterary entries to tell you what works best. Reading those books essentially is just buying them from the bookseller.

In terms of combat it's not bad, certainly better than 99% of other RPGs out there and it feels right for Witchers

Climbing monsters is fun, magic is fun, but the game just falls flat on other levels.

100-200 hours depending on how much side content she does. Longer if she gets the expansions. You should hang out while she plays it.
