The worst part is, it doesn't matter if it is the Arland nor Dusk series. Modern day Atelier is awful. That said, Sophie is the only game I do not own. Once you learn how the alchemist system works, it makes the other games quite easy.

I love Ateliers, they are awesome and comfortable games.

I bought Totori and Meruru(I think?) like a year ago just because they were 20 bucks on Vita. Totori seemed like one of those games that you'd need your nose in a walkthrough 24/7 in order to not fuck everything up, is that true?

I bought dark souls (the first one) and I really didn't get the appeal.

Also, the framerate on the 360 version is complete trash.
I was playing with no armor (NAKED) just so the framerate would run smoothly.
The full armor you get at the start of the game made the game run at 10fps, I'm not even exaggerating.
Was this ever patched?
Because if it was, I'd be willing to try again/

I was talking about NA releases. Rorona+, Ayesha+, Escha/Logy+ and Sophie have come out since 2014.

I really tried to like it too but it's fucking terrible compared to Elder Scrolls.

Just don't buy the arland collection bundle, it has the old version of rorona that looks like trash compared to rorona plus.
Totori and Meruru's original versions are fine, but Rorona Plus is practically a whole new game because they redid ALL the character models to the same level of polish as the later games.

Two of those are new games, two of those are enhanced ports.

I feel that way about Bethesda FO vs TES in general. Fantasy setting does the ginormous open-world much more justice than post apocalyptic.

Yeah I haven't even tried FO3 or 4. Big reason why was I just didn't like the dead world setting of Fallout. I mean Obsidian's shitty writing and CTD bugs didn't help. Obsidian characters always come across as stiff and overly verbose, they don't sound like a normal verbal conversation. Maybe it works when it's just text but add flat toned voice acting to it and it's just awful.
