Name a game that does not imitate any other game, has an enitrely unique engine, and was released this millenium.
It's almost unnerving just how little gaming changes; like, the reason that TF2's demo-recording feature is so broken is that the last time it was recoded from the ground up was probably with fucking Quake of all games.
That also has a game engine lineage traceable to Quake, and is based off of Narbacular Drop.
>stating the names of literally who games as if people will know what you're talking about
Michael Roberts
Banner Saga
Mark of the Ninja, maybe? I forget which engine it's on.
Henry Wood
Ring Runner's engine isn't anything special or unique, but the game itself doesn't resonate with any other games, only Star Wars.
Luis Davis
Forgot about the engine part, was focusing more on the gameplay.
Although I don't entirely understand why using an established engine would diminish the games uniqueness.
Wyatt Phillips
Nothing is original in this industry.
You literally ask the impossible.
Nathaniel Jackson
>not knowing Patapon
you seem hell-bent on making a point bud either that's why you're shitting on replies or you're just an idiot

Oliver Hughes
>Games most people don't know about don't count
Then i guess every popular game right now is a rip off of anything
Charles Martinez
Fair point about the engine, I guess some wonders have been done on old engines, although it can be impressive to see totally different game programming like .kkrieger achieving good looking graphics with a filesize of just 96kb.
Ah, it's Japanese, that explains why I don't know it. Also, looking at a picture of it, I now realise I have seen videos of it, and while it's unique amongst executable games it's reminiscient of in-browser games at their prime.
Ever 17: Also Japanese, and this time I definitely don't now it.
Ian Cooper
Not saying they don't count, but I mean that if you're going to bother to mention an obscure game you might as well give a few words of description.
Like, if someone asked me "What is a game with a really unique engine?" I wouldn't answer ".kkrieger", I'd answer ".kkrieger, because it procedurally generates assets so that it has a file size of 96kb despite high resolution textures".
Josiah Jones
Your ignorance doesn't suddenly validate your retarded statements. I expect an apology.
Blake Morris
Sorry for making you angsty!

See You re right that OP's a hypocritical faggot, but even unique games can be bad (morrowind) or stagnate quickly (halo)
Nathaniel Price
>"name a game that does this!" >we name 3 games >"lol never heard of it, doesn't count!"
Fuck off, then.
Landon Gray
Did I say "doesn't count"? I just get fed up about how Sup Forums assumes that you'll research the obscure detail of each game it mentions.
Joshua Harris
?

Name any song that does not imitate another song, has an entirely different key and time signature, and was released this millenium.
It's almost unnerving just how little music changes; like, the reason that Rock music is so broken is that the last time it was rewritten from the ground up was probably with fucking Elvis of all artists.
Blake Kelly
Best fucking series ever. I own Damacy, We
Robert Rivera
How old is it? The gameplay idea of eating things smaller than you to grow larger has been around for quite a while.
Ryder Howard
You don't eat them.
Chase Flores
Crypt of the Necrodancer. A Rhythm roguelike.
Easton Morris

Julian Russell
We had literal weeks of consistent Pathologic threads when the HD version released. Don't act like you've never heard of it. Unless you're new to Sup Forums.
Noah Anderson
Demon's Souls
The summon/invasion system is the most unique thing to come out of recent times.
That one came out in 2004. You roll small and then progressively objects into balls to create new planets and stars. It's very visually unique and has a lot of interesting mechanics and humor that was very new for the time.
Very solid series, very unique, and pretty timeless too.
Nathaniel Rodriguez
Your bait is weak and your thread sucks. You fail as a person. Please die soon.
Leo Ramirez
>was focusing more on the gameplay. Go play Prey.
John Bailey
So this is Neo-nuSummer
Jackson Davis
You're an idiot.

Jet Set Radio?

literally drop in/ drop out multiplayer/mmo but instead of choosing it after you join, you chose it before you join
Parker Reyes
But anyways, how is the top one island music? It's pretty unique. For crying out loud, one of the """instruments""" in the piece is made of shorting wires
