Hey Sup Forums what´s your favourite AoE2 civilization and why?(Including the three expansion packs).

The huns. I'm just too lazy to build houses, and I like spamming cav.

Depends on the map. Overall, my favorite is the Koreans.

Celts because they are great at everything.

Teutonic Knights, Aztecs, and Spaniards

Genarally, my favourite civ is the vikings because they have the Berserks and the free barrow.

spanish, i like the conquistadors.

Teutons. A wave of siege rams carrying 5 teutonic knights each is fun.
Franks. Super Paladins that can 1v2 elite Cataprachs is overkill.
Aztecs. Jaguar warriors are like faster Teutonic Knights.
Japan. Samurai btfo your elite snowflakes and machine gun trebuchets.

>three

Teutons were the shit

Teutons because Teuton Knights knighting around taking shit from no one

Als ocool castles

Franks because muh paladins

I have an itch for RTS games
Should I pirate AoE II?

the one with the cars that kill everything

Turks, because muh gunpowder.

Hardly get to use them, in multiplayer, though, because they are a gold-heavy Imperial age civ, and aren't very good before then (so people will rush you, and even if they don't, you might end up running out of gold before properly being able to use them).

I would wait for the Steam sale.

>Castle spamman
>Dem paladins
>Hurling motherfucking axes

They're a lot of fun to play as. Second goes to the Chinese for the chu-ko-nu.

Saracens for the UU.

Britons with fully-upgraded longbowman are fun.

>tfw attacking a castle with 50+ longbowman who outrange the castle

Portugal

Magyars are great for spamming their elite faction unit for under 100 food each.

>turks+italians+portoguese+spain
why is this combo so fun

Did anyone who played the first AoE finished the fucking Yamato campaign?
>Egypt was a tutorial walk in the park
>Greece was a steady and manageable rise in difficulty.
>Babylon starts rough but gets easy later on.
>Rome is quirky (especially Caesar and Enemies of Rome campaigns) but still fair.
>Fucking Yamato is hell on every mission.

I remember only going until the 4th mission and that was a stretch.
