I dont understand how anyone can be upset by the modern Crash design, it perfectly preserves the essence of the original art. How is this bad?
I really want to know, but I think its just because its a Playstation game Sup Forums automatcially hates it.
Andrew Scott
Personally, I think his best design was around crash twinsanity. I just dont think the current one looks as good.
Joshua Brown
it's blocky in the game, nobody has really said anything bad about the actual design
Levi Cook
But thats the worst crash design
Owen Allen
Because it looks fucking weird and wrong, it's like a guy in a suit or something.

2004 is best

I kinda just wish he was smaller.
His torso was always sorta triangle shaped with a big head, but it never got THAT big except for when he was reacting to shit.
It's like they looked at one of his death animations where's he's yelling and his mouth grows huge and thought that was his default proportions.
It's fine besides that tho.

Isn't that the crappy Skylanders game's design for him though?

I blame Warped's promotional render trying too hard to make him look cool instead of the dope he is.
Liam Roberts
i've never played any of the crash games aesthetically 2004 has the nicest design
Oliver James
CTR render is best
Adrian Rogers
Concept art looks like a Tazmanian Devil knockoff. It all makes sense now.
Gavin Edwards
Honestly, I like the tribal tattoos. They would really suit the crazy, 1996 Crash.
Aaron Long
It's a huge step above his design in the Mutants games
Fine games, but fuck did he and most of the supporting cast look butt ugly
Carter Lopez
I hate PS1 graphics something awful, but that water looks fucking amazing

Fuck off MARIO WiiU
Christian Sullivan
the original was a playstation game you braindead monkey retard. the original game also looked nothing like the concept art you cherry picked so its a moot point. activision are making the game so it would be garbage on whatever system it's on, stop acting so victimized you little baby sonydrone
Xavier Phillips
I like the original 1996 design
Jaxson Sanchez
Sony and Microsoft fuck up by trying to make them look realistic by giving them fur and other shit. They should stay in a cartoon style since that's what they basically are.
Just imagine if Nintendo decided to make a realistic Mario, that shit would be disturbing.
Lincoln Gomez
this just made me realize that all of crash's designs are awful
Hudson Campbell
Yeah I personally hate how he looks in most ND renders. The only problem with his new design is that he literally can't not smile with how his model is constructed.
Anthony Perry
Tribal tattoos are to men what flower and bird tattoos are to women. The most middling unoriginal and uninspiring shit a person can get.
And sleeves are faggot tier. Getting anything on you neck (unless it's the back neck) or face is "I don't aspire to do anything but work manual labor or sell drugs for the rest of my life" tier
Ethan Howard
I hate any game that fucks with the classice gameplay elements if any franchise.
Sunshine while still a good game is an example of this.
Banjo Nuts and Bolts is one.
Crash if the Titans is like this. No I don't want to ride fucking mutants. I want platformer gameplay.
Same with Twilight Princess. I'm glad Nintendo got the clue, those fucking wolf Link portions fucked the flow up for me.

Do you know why it's called 'concept' art, OP?
Concept implies a work in progress. As in, if that looked fine enough to be how crash was in the game, that's how he would look in the fucking game. That banjo render on the left is a finalized render, which was used to promote the game. Because, that's how the developers wanted people to see the characters.
If you put the actual original crash design on the left, and not a prototype, you'd see things are just as bad.

That's just his skylanders design anyway. I highly doubt he will look like that in the remake, but it's activision, so who knows

Fuck, really wish we could have at least gotten a glimpse of what the remasters will look like without them just announcing it and saying nothing more

I actually really like the new design. But perhaps most of all I like how they presented Crash. The way he strutted forward as he walked and when he jumped and spinned. And the sounds and that taunt.
I feel like they actually really accomplished something rather rare and hard to accomplish. Namely capturing that old "rad & tubular" theme that is otherwise completely dead nowadays. And unlike when franchises like Sonic or whatever tries to capture the same theme, they actually succeeded in doing it with Crash. When Sonic attempts to it's cringeworthy as fuck and doesn't even appear genuine.
But when Crash strutted about in that very short Skylanders trailer? You saw that he was a rad & tubular guy of ages past.
Kevin Barnes
I literally couldn't believe it when people were complaining it looked bad.
It looks fucking awesome. The spin animation is IMO a bit slow and the flying kick is weird as fuck but I think I can deal with that if they stay the same (as shown in Skylanders) in the remakes.
Tyler Phillips
Does the 2007/2008 designs remind anyone of white trash?
