I'm a little late to the scene for the DS, and wanted to ask for suggestions of gems i might have missed in the past few years.

Monster Hunter
Mario & Luigi games
Shovel Knight if you haven't played it on PC yet
Skip sticker star & regular show 8bit land, not that good
Return Sticker Star if you don't want to be disappointing

The two Mario and Luigi games are alright
i thought about picking up the bravely default, but the game shop i go to still wants 45 for used copy.
is it really that good or are they keeping the price inflated?

Nintendo games usually never drop in price, or atleast not as dramatic as console games, even older gen games are still quite expensive around the 20-30.
My retailer sells it for 35 (euro) used with 45 being new.
just checked and the collectors edition is going for 380 bucks
The gameplay is good but it has one of the worst stories I've ever seen. I don't think it's worth 45, maybe 30, and that's pushing it.

I've had a 3ds for around 3 years, just upgraded from the normal ass version to the new 3ds. I can tell you the games I've played and my opinion on them.

I played this shit for around a full year. It was real fun, especially when I started decorating my town with paths and stuff. Also fun on wifi with friends. It's a good game if you just like to lay back every now and then.

Takes a while to get used to the controls, but once you do, it isn't so bad at all. In fact, the game is real good.

also pretty good, but gets super fucking repetitive if you go for 100%. It's also real short if you don't go for 100%.

I didn't like it at first, but the more I played it, the better it became. Shit consumed my life for a number of months.

Massive fucking disappointment. I expected more of that Luigi's Mansion 1 feel, but got Luigi and Grandpa Go On a Cooky Spooky Adventure instead.

I never liked the N64 version all that much, but I really liked the remake, even with it's weird ass changes. I've played most Zelda games and this was the only one I felt obligated to 100%, so I did.

Not him but obviously you haven't been looking hard enough. New sealed copies of all the ds vanias are $20 in various place. I wouldn't count on price dropping either. I got all 3 of them for that price around 4 years ago.

it's pretty good so far, but
the difficulty can ramp up pretty fast if you rush through the game though.
i suggest definitely trying to get most weapons/relics.
