Every time I hear "Tip Cat" theme, I remember this console and the great moments it brought with it. Best family console.

>having nostalgia for something 10 year old
i want underage to scam back to deviantart

I had bad grades as a kid, so my parents never bought me video game consoles. By the time I got into high school they improved greatly, so my dad got me a Wii and DS lite for Christmas of 2006.
Happiest Christmas ever.

I'm 25 now and I'll be married next year. Got this console in 2007 when I was 14.

Mario Strikers Charged was dope tho. I really hope they make a new one in the future.

Also let me share a nice memory:
> I was like 12 or 13
> Brought my brand new Wii to granps house
> All the family is there. I made Miis for everyone
> Show Miis of them. Everyone is laughing.
> Well, now lets play Wii Sports!
> Play like 3-4 hours of Boxing, Tennis and Bowling
> Everyone having a really good time.

It was maybe the last approach my family had to videogames. That was fun.

The Wii came out around the time I moved out from my parent's house at 18, so I wasn't able to afford one until years later. The Wii hacking scene was exploding when I purchased a used one, so I ended up modding it right away.

This one time I played an actual good game on the Wii... Wait, I'm confused. That was a different console.

Toad's jump over the goal-keeper is insta goal. Cheesiest way to score goals and many people disconnected when I did that.

...

god, as much shit as the wii got there really wasn't anything like playing wii sports with your family

>First time playing an online game
>In 2006 with the Wii

u wot mate? Nintendo was the last horse to cross the finish line with online. You could seamlessly play an online game with almost zero setup through Stteam before the Wii came out.

We are the same age. I remember playing TP on its release. I was blown away because it was my first Zelda and RPG game I played.

I didn't had a PC back then, nor Dreamcast or PS3.

Shit. I mean no Xbox or PS3.

I love the Wii Shopping Channel theme remake in Smash 4

>still using "babies" as an insult in 2016

If you are 25 now then you would have been 16 in 2007 you fucking terrible liar

The first Nintendo console with an online game was the GameCube with Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II in 2002.

Nothing has ever topped the pure fun i had when first launching WoW 11 years ago.

I find that nothing actually makes me that happy any more.

>will never play mario kart online again

Nigger, I play mk online every weekend.

>Born in 1999 general

The wii was a shitty system with almost no games worth playing

I dont understand why people bitch about the wii u after the shitshow that was the wii

Its because thats the only form of digital entertainment that they had most likely.
Does make me sick thinking about it.

>I'll never get to set up my PS2 and play Sly Cooper for the first time again
>I'll never have any challenge playing Sly Cooper again
>I'll never see my friend's older brother playing Sonic Adventure and not know which sonic game it was and desperately want to find it
>I'll never not be able to beat the first boss of SA2(for some reason it wouldn't connect with the cockpit) so I'll never be able to play City Escape and then go to the chao garden on repeat and have fun
>I'll never be able to share secrets with my best friend and copy my Ultimate Spider-Man save data to his memory card again, a process that blew my fucking mind.
It was a simpler time.

I have current gens in my living room but I keep the wii in my bedroom to watch Netflix. it's nostalgia every night

Check Mii Out channel music had serious

Bought it in my birthday first month of 2007 when I was 14. Do the math.

and the even groovier version

It's sad that Wii U main menu feels uninspired and the music isn't catchy anymore

It feels like Nintendo wasn't even gonna try anymore

Even the Mii editor music on Wii U sounds meh, why did they replace it?

Actually, I was wrong. The first console with online was the Nintendo 64, utilizing the 64DD add-on. Released only in Japan on December 1st, 1999.

Sup Forumseekend still a thing?
Something happening tonight?

I'm doing the math and you would be 24

>not knowing what nostalgia means

im guessing they wanted something more neutral and with less melody

>What did he mean by this?

>Be me, 12, brand new Wii
>Loved F-Zero GX as a tinier child
>"Can't wait for F-Zero WX!!!"

Ha
Hahaha
Still have good memories of the Wii though. On the long run I got a lot of good games for it, and homebrewing made me finally play roms on a tv.

Is there a good guide to install the usb loader that plays the .iso on your usb? I'd like to play some Japanese games. Alternatively, is there a Free Loader of sorts for the Wii?

Wii U menu themes are the worst compared to GC and Wii.

The Wii had some of the comfiest menus

Great comfy console, could quite happily just mess around on the weather and news channels for a while and not play games.

It's the best emulation machine for less than a kidney, so there's that.

>12 when the wii came out

get lost you fucking embryo

>do the math
>im doing the math and youre still wrong

The wii was casual normalfag trash though.

Just few months and I'll be 25. Do you really want me to say "I'm twenny fo an a half yearth old" Now fuck off.

masterpiece

>Not using dry bone's roll into the goal

>People on Sup Forums are nostalgic for the goddamn Wii

Good god, how old am I?

only normalfags think this

>Wii
jesus christ i want everyone who showed up to Sup Forums post-habbo hotel to fucking die.

ITT: People in their 20s pretend they're old

I am in my 20s, I'm just surprised there's literal children on Sup Forums.

I mean, 18 year olds can grow up with the Wii at this point, 7th gen started fucking ages ago.

>Be me 8yo
>Mom buy a Wii for my christmas
>Play the shit out of it
>Now be in your early 30s
>Still playing with Klonoa on Wii. I'm at level six. I play with my pants around my ankles.

Damn if time flies

Then you're 24 you dingus, you don't get to round up. You don't get to (legally) walk into a bar and say "Im 21 in a few months so I'm 21".

>8 years old
>wii
>now early 30s
U wot m8? I was barely 10 when the N64 came rolling around so you're full of shit.

>8yo
>wii
>in early 30's
NANI?!

>Wii was 10 years ago
>8 years old when you get a Wii for christmas
>30 years old now
>pants around your ankles
???????

Why do you Americans have to be 21 to drink? What's the reasoning behind that?

user you quoted here. TP was also my first Zelda. You must be a total bro.

Such is life in a wormhole

Underage ban? Right guys? Right.....? Please don't tell me enough time as passed to have to deal with these people.

It varies from state to state. You only have to be 18 in some

>be me
>Friend had this new Wii
>Reading about in magazines we will have games like smash bros where you punch in real life and the character punches
>The game he bought was elebits
>mfw the story is literally a little girls bedtime story
>mfw the Wii was and always was shit

You're a wuss. That console pissed me off. The range on the wii mote/sensor, having some gay 12 icons per page, low resolution, only like one reason to make a Mii
I will say Bowling, baseball and golf were fun, but that doesn't make the console good.

Science. Something along the lines of your brain isn't fully done forming until around this time. Probably bullshit but whatever, drinkings for people who want to lose brain cells anyway

>nostalgia for the fucking wii

>not even posting the best Wii menu theme

youtube.com/watch?v=GLDhvJ0fmAw

i remember having this on while studying in highschool

>decide to dust off my Wii and try something new
>always avoided the casual shit so decided to try out Wii fit finally since it might not be expensive as fuck anymore
>look online
>there's a Wii Fit U for $25 with the balance board, a pedometer, and the game itself
>Wii Fit Plus for original Wii with board is over double that price

I feel bad for Wii U. Imagine having the previous generations game more expensive than the new stuff...

Studying dicks, maybe.

Exactly. They don't have the wndow into the SNES/N64/GC era where they could understand how Nintendo has changed.

>be 5 years old
>mom buys me NX
>play the shit out of it
>now 82
>still play NX everyday
And I still don't know what it is

>You will never buy a game and send it to your friend from Wii Shop channel

That was indeed an awesome feature. Why didn't Nintendo bother using it again with 3DS and Wii U? I bet NX won't use the feature either. You can do it on Steam but can't on Nintendo Network, Xbox Live and PSN.

>Remembered getting Onslaught off the Wii Shop
>Talking to friend about it
>Gifted him Onslaught and he sends Me Ogre Battle for SNES
>Had fun co-op times with Onslaught

Fun times.

>I'm 25 now and I'll be married next year.
>Got this console in 2007 when I was 14.
Even if you turned 15 in 2007, that doesn't add up.

elebits was pretty fun though
