Is this where the series peaked?

Is this where the series peaked?

Yes.

Call of Duty 4 and Black Ops 3 are the best ones.

yep

kiddies will say MW2/BLOPS and now MW3 since it was their first game in the series though

what was so good about it?
I found it really dull desu

>first of the modern FPS games, before it was the norm
>set pieces that were always changing and different scenarios for pretty much every mission
>AC 130 mission
>Ghillie Suit Mission
>storming Iraq with your bros
>the Nuke was a nice wrench in the mix
>multiplayer that was pretty fun, allowed progression but you never felt anyone was too powerful with a gun you couldn't get

I htought it was BOOOORING but my little bro loved it.

I rly only like COD 1 and 2

I did think the nuke in the campaign was cool, though.

>Black Ops 3
>best
Please be bait

If it isn't then we have an underage problem b/c that game is shit.

MW2 was better.

MW2 was broken

MW2 was one of the most unbalanced games in the series, although I guess in a fun way?

Call of Duty 4 was still better

I liked the campaign and played the shit out of the multiplayer.
Got banned from so many servers because of mad admins.

1 > UO > 2 / 4 / WaW

It was good. I've tried MW2 and Blips 3 and absolutely hated both of them. I can't understand why people like them.

Yeah and it was a fucking blast because of it?

Whats the best part of call of duty? Salty enemies and fucking stupid killcams. This is what MW2 did best

It was one of those games where you had to be there when it first came out to understand the impact it had on the industry and why people loved it so much.

It's the same with many other popular games, like Half-Life 2 and FFVII.

Yeah, 4 was more balanced but I had more fun with MW2 anyways.

WaW is the best though.

>Ghillie Suit Mission
>people hype this shit up when it's literally a reverse escort mission that's impossible to fail if you hug the other guy

MW2 introduced me to my Raifu, so technically it's the best when I'm being biased as fuck.

When the series turned into full blown Spec Op Blow Job mode is when it went fully into the dumpster.

Didn't the change in tone kind of start with MW2 though? Most of the main characters looked more like film actors than actual soldiers, and it was when the action started to become even more bombastic.

I would say it peaked with MW2 even though it had some unbalanced shit, not that COD4 didn't have unbalanced shit too, but way less. Fuck Activision for locking COD4 Remaster.

No. CoD 1 + United Offensive and CoD 2 were way better. But CoD 4 was the first and best modern shooter we got. It was definitely the best one when you dont count the WW2 games.

Yes, though MW2 had a neat "War" campaign most of the story dealt with Task Force 141 and suffered for it. The Ranger Missions in MW1 are some of the best missions in the series, including: Operation Overlord, Stalingrad, Red Square, Battle of the Bulge, Hill 400, Leon(?). Along with all the other crap I can't remember.

Nope it peaked at Black Ops 1.

MW2 was the tits at the time, especially before the noobtube exploits/ hacks. Had Infinity Ward actually cared about the multiplayer community rather than pandering to a single digit minority group of pissed off Muslims who only cared about the Arabic engraving on the picture frame above the shitter in Favela, then the game would've still been God-Tier. Black Ops was a good game, but it revealed to the FPS community that the quality of CoD started on the decline (TBF, zombie mode was also the best in the CoD series on that game, as well).

Advanced Warfare tried to get on the mantle, but it was too...artificial, and Infinite Warfare will fall the same.

>MW2 - Best Multiplayer, On-par Spec Ops with MW3, undoubtedly best campaign with stellar OST
>Black Ops - Best Zombies
