I'm thinking of getting Overwatch but I don't want to give Blizzard any money. I swore I would never do it after what they did to Diablo.
Should I finally cave in and buy it? The game actually looks worth the investment. But then again, I would be literally funding cancer.

I understand the feeling, but you can rationalize it either way. On one hand, your specific payment wouldn't matter at all. You choosing to buy or not buy it only practically affects you, not blizzard. But on the other hand, you could say it's up to you to be and uphold your standard, because while blizzard definitely wouldn't notice, you would. In the end, unless you start a campaign against them, nothing will change.

it's pretty fun for a few hours but quickly gets boring after a while unless you have friends to play with
Never bought any other blizzard game, but overwatch is fun. Can get frustrating with a shit team, but fun when your team is doing what it's supposed to, and it's so easy to troll people with bastion and turrets. Also if you have friends who have it too it'll be really fun just fucking around.
Its good if you're a 'I need something to play for an hour" every so often
If you're a "I sit and play games for 8 hours a day" you're gonna get bored very very fast.

It's a good game. If people don't buy it for whatever reason then blizzard has no incentive to produce other quality games.

I don't have friends and I didn't play TF2 with friends either. I've seen people play the most boring games hour after hour so I don't think this will make any difference.
