So I live in the shithole called Syria, and it's been getting way worse recently. The problem with this shitty war is that the currency is getting constantly fucked and exchange rates are pretty awful now. Before 2011, $1 equaled 50 pounds, now it's somewhere between 500-600, like tenfold, making buying any games from Steam impossible. I got hooked to the cracked Rocket League but the bots are fucking shit, and I want the Steam game now. The game is also banned in Syria but it's playable with a proxy, that's how shitty we have it over here

I'm from Damascus, and yes I guess. While it's really all out war in some locations, not much light is shed on calmer areas. I know some Syrian friends who have left the country, and they all believe that it's worse than it really is. It's natural to think like that when you're not over here.
