That time when the 360 got exclusive JRPGs in a vain attempt to attract japs and weebs

>That time when the 360 got exclusive JRPGs in a vain attempt to attract japs and weebs

That time the Xbox 360 got the best JRPG of last gen

>It's happening again

>they got the best game in a storied franchise as exclusive in the west preventing the superior PS3 version from being released in english

I will never stop being mad.

>Xbox having GOAT nippon vidya
Ninja Gaiden Black was great and so was 2.

Fortunately, the game looks like shit.

Wasn't it fan translated anyways?

Lost Odyssey is a solid ass JPRG.

Easily in the top 10 best JRPG's last gen.

It really does though. And I'm not even saying this because I'm a Sony fan, I honestly don't think I'd play it even if it were multiplat.

>exclusive

Me too, I was legitimately considering buying a Xbox One after it was announced, but I rightly figured out that it wouldn't come out in years, so I didn't back then. After the Gamescom 2015 footage was shown, I was confused by it, but this E3's gameplay made it clear to me that the game is trash.

Yeah, now enjoy finding a downgraded ps3 and paying it over 200 bucks to play a fucking gook game.

Why do japs never buy Xbox consoles anyway? Like they never chart, ever. Is it really because they're not from Japan?

CFWable PS3: $40-60
E3 Flasher: $30
Solder unit: $15
Micro SD card: $10
It's not that expensive to do user.

Saved

>Vain
Sure got me playing these shmups on the console.

Because they don't have jap games. Having 4~5 exclusives doesn't mean it's a jap console. PS3 had 5 exclusive jap games getting released weekly.

>looks loke shit
Not thay Sony is doing much better anyway.

Nier 2 looks way better sempai

>fortunately
I say this as someone who owns a PS4 and not an Xbone, but fucking sonyggers, everyone

That's a joke, right?

It had shmups and visual novels. Can't get more jap than that.

The japs just prefer celphones anyway.

Why do you need any of that besodes the cfw ps3?

Lost Odyssey was a real good game. I'd love to play it again but I don't have a 360 anymore.

Why would I want a game that would cost me $360 minimum to be good and appealing to me? I'm sorry, but the only people that should be happy for a game's quality are the ones that can easily access it.

Overhyped garbage.

That makes it better how exactly?

>That time when it was he best console rpg of the gen

>garbage
Okay.

Why does Tales art looks so gay? It reminds me of 90s shoujo.

>Xboners pure damage control
loving
every
laugh

You aren't really laughing. Just mad someone dislikes your bland waifushit simulator.

>waifushit simulator
>taro game
>waifushit
Have you even played the first Nier? No, of course you haven't.

And he's mad that I'm excited for it, what's your point?

>I'm sorry, but the only people that should be happy for a game's quality are the ones that can easily access it.
Sup Forums in a nutshell

And noone said that Sony is doing better, you brought it up and it won't make Scalebound better either.
For a Kamiya/Platinum game this shit is way too slow and bland. The combat is slow and has simple 3-4 hit combos that repeat over and over again, the bow and dragon sections kill the whole momentum that barely exists to begin with and they have less depth than LAIR. The fight against that big crab thing was really boring compared to other Kamiya games or even shit like GOW´and GOW probably has more depth to its combat than SB and then there's the protagonist that says hip one liners every seconds and not short but memorable stuff like Dante or Vergil after you do combos
I own an Xbone and PS4 and will still buy Scalebound, but it expected way way more and it feels like Kamiya has either no idea what he is doing this time or Microsfot is shit to work with

What are your thoughts on Nier: Automata?
Not trying to bait but I'm just interested. Good or nah?

At least Lost Odyssey is great.

Also has depressing powerpoints.

Looks good so far. The OST and story was already pretty good in Nier and it seems like they're going the same way with it this time. The main problem with most Taro games was the gameplay and performance, but it already runs at 60fps while also keeping the relatively wide areas from the first Nier and the combat seems to have enough depth to do some flashy combos and be fun at higher difficulties while still being able to kill normal enemies fast for EXP and quests like in the first Nier, it seem to be a mix of Bayo and MGR + some Nier stuff like lite bullet hell, side angles for cameras and stuff and the fact that you can have 4 weapons at all time could potentially make it some of the best combat systems since Bayo1 or DMC3. It's not the best looking game out there, but has a really nice artstyle and stays true to the first game even with things like NPCs and quests and possibly even weapon stories.
It's definitely one of the few games that only improves every year they show it and you can finally see how good Taro games can be with a proper budget and development time.
I still hope both games sell really well though, but Scalebound doesn't seem to be the game that would sell many copies on Xbone

Sold my xbox360 for a ps3. I don't regret it, Lost Odyssey and Vesperia were the only games I missed.

There was also that one, Infinite Undiscovery, that wasn't total garbage... I remember opening the menu didn't pause the battles so to use items you had to run away and hope nothing chased you if you wanted to revive anyone.
This made the superbosses a fucking nightmare and I had to sit in a corner spamming potions and buffs while my party did all the work.
