Lol Bloodbrone ripoff

lol Bloodbrone ripoff

What's the point? You can still counter it.

>Turn #3
>My forest boars attack your dire wolves for 2 damage

>Turn #15
>My eldritch cosmic god from space attacks your immortal vampire deity

well that escalated quickly

Explain how this has ANYTHING to do with bloodborne

nigga Eldrazi were a thing before bloodborne

>turn 15

also
>quickly

Reddit is in the other direction, friend.

Tentacles

Do these people not realize that H.P. Lovecraft wrote about tentacles from space like 100 years ago?

I have to believe that they are all trolls

Eldritch Moon

Moon Presence

>butchering Emrakul thus much
WOTC DOES IT AGAIN

>protection from instants

>protection from colored spells

they had to be that blatant with the nerf?

and why isn't annihilator a thing for eldrazis anymore?

annihilator was a one block ability they felt they didn't want to bring back, probably due to disrupting balance too much, especially in limited

They're memeing, its just coincidence they chose Innistrad again to replace the third set of the return to zendikar block after the switch to three blocks each year with two sets was made.

annihilator was insanely op, to the point that any card with it had to be unreasonably overcosted so it wouldn't severely warp the format.

Because Mark Rosewater is a fucking faggot. He has figured out the precise formula to making cookie cutter sets that dont upset modern, and standard will just do whatever theyre told, and limited fags eat it up.

No fun allowed.

What's the deal with people who actually follow the "story" of the MTG game.

Do they really just read the flavor text off every card like an autistic soulsfag, or do they have books or something

Totally memeing. Yeah, the first and second block in the new Zendikar block mimic the reveal in Bloodbrony (gothic horror -> cosmic horror), but hey, totally unrelated while being the same twist.

Only if you are a bitch who plays blue.

Faggot.

I didnt play very long, only from OG Innistrad to Origins, but this version seems kind of weak based on the fact that the opponent gets an extra turn to undo everything you did.

I know powerlevels and all, but that one line just ruins the card for me.

>gain control of target opponent
Back in my days you could only attack your opponent

>Zendikar
>gothic

Good luck undoing your sacrificed cards

Obviously I meant Innistrad.

Mark "Threshold is never ever coming back, oh look here's not-threshold: the mechanic" Rosewater's genius design

They have books and short stories on the websites

But Magic's story is really fucking boring in my opinion. Especially without any decent characters.

Its just silly, before cards that let you take control opponents didnt let them have an extra turn. For what flavor purpose does Emrakul now let them?

They have a storyline for each set, it's on tgeir site for modern sets and in the "Planeswalker's Guide to X" for older sets.

Because wizards is shit at balancing and cant make cool cards anymore. It's to prevent mindslaver lock, essentially.

Some of the olds books were entertaining, but now its basically "Jace saves the plane", which is especially funny because I remmeber around 2014 they said they would focus less on established walkers but now Jace has like three different versions

It's been around for awhile.

Balance because Mark Rosewater is a no fun allowed faggot. I do mean that literally; he was actually upset that the monogreen Commander deck from Commander 2014 had desert twister in it because Green having any kind of removal upsets him.

You don't love Jac?

I imagine we'll still see emmy bounce decks. Dredge to reduce cost, play, shenanigans, hope she survives the topdeck, attack, bounce replay, ad infinum. Getting 2 turns for each 1 of theirs is pretty ok.

>tfw that I miss my back in the day elf deck, goblin deck and my factory token deck
>no more 200 2/2 to 4/4 tokens with flying

I miss those days

Why is she so perfect?
>tfw she will never tentacle you

>think about getting back into magic
>look at meta
>no longer think about getting back into magic

thank you jews of the coast

>tfw at least half our meta is running white
>don't want to run black control but it's the only way to stop them
Fuck me I guess. Always Watching and Declaration in Stone is fucking bullshit.

>protection from colored spells

I could use that here in TN.

>Jace has like three different versions

More like he has 7 or so. I'm pretty sure he is the most printed walker, followed by Chandra.

I saved this image back in April 2010.

why is wizards so shit lately?
>weaker cards in MM2 than in MM1
>origins balancing leads to 100 dollar standard cards everyone runs 4 of just to splash blue
>no good reprints from Zendikar at all like gobline guide
>no chance of good innistrad reprints like snapcaster either

if you don't have Emrakul out by turn 6, she shouldn't be in your deck

I'll take Chandra "I'm a Hothead That's Literately It" over Jace "Pssh nothin personal kid *Mindwipe*" Borelen

What happens if you use this, and the player whose turn you take over also has one, and you use his while you have control over his turn, say on a third player? Which one of you gets control over the third player?

I haven't followed the game since Rath Cycle, or any of the books since Apocalypse.

this Emrakul can be used as a Commander.
the old one was banned for being busted OP.

I'd rather have a playable card senpai

I meant in standard at once
>origins
>oath
>supposedly another one coming in moon

>supposedly another one coming in moon
Wasn't this fucker supposed to stay in Ravnica? Him being the guildpact feels totally useless if he can just leave whenever. What if people need to reference him?

The person you are controlling would get to control the 3rd player

Did you honestly expect them to reprint Goblin Guide and Snappy in standard?
That said, those should have been reprinted in Eternal Masters, which might as well be called Draft Masters because for some reason they decided to balance the set around limited play where it would be a 50 dollar buy in or more of an extremely limited set.
Fuck.

I just wish that they didn't keep Eldritch Moon so under wraps. It was funny as hell when Koz was leaked and Wizards kneejerk banned every level 3 judge and up in the state of Florida.

I think he left with Gideon because of the need to fight the Eldrazi and then went with Ugin and Sorin to innistrad because of Nahiri.

Nah, Chandra doesnt get a reprint until the next set since its her homeplane and all

Can someone explain the lore of this one to a cluess user?

>Love the idea of MTG
>Want to slowly build up an army, tactically equip and enchant them, wait for the right time to strike
>Everyone just uses OP combos to win in a few turns

I wish there was a card game immune to that kinda shit, but everyone will always flock towards whatever is the surest bet rather than trying to have fun.

Nahiri is pissed at Sorin so she summons Emrakul to Innistrad

try EDH

Sure is a nifty creature with protection from Instants you've got there, would sure be a pity if someone were to Stasis Snare it.

Commander/EDH is probably the closest you'll get to that unless you find a super casual play group. It's a shame that MTG has gotten to be such an arms race because casual battlecruiser magic is a ridiculous amount of fun

>Stasis Snare
>not Oblivion Ring
kids today, I swear

>Nahiri goes to ask Sorin for help before the events of Zendikar 1 to make sure the Hedrons are secure
>Sorin was too much of a pretentious ass and rather than explain to her that he just spent half of his energy making an angel guardian and a giant ass block of silver to imprison demons so he couldn't right then
>Instead chooses to berate Nahiri
>Nahiri gets pissed and attacks Sorin
>Sorin seals her in the Helvault
>Rise of the Eldrazi happens right here
>Nahiri breaks free
>Goes to Zendikar
>Sees Zendikar in shambles as the Eldrazi are free
>Vows revenge on Sorin
>Starts going around Innistrad to set up thing to lure Em there
>Unbeknownst to her, the Jacetice League is fighting the Titans right now while she does this
>Madness spreads through the plane via Em's influence, despite her not being there
>Em is summoned

I shield slam it for 1 mana and coin cthun

Thanks for letting me build armor fag

Nah, Kozilek was the butcher.

O-ring isn't in Standard.
That said, New Em is laughably pathetic.

She's not going to get one in Moon, she'll more than likely be getting one as part of the Planeswalker decks in Poo in the Loo, though, since it's her home plane and the only product image we have so far has her name on it.

I was only thinking about Standard gramps. Settle petal.

>Standard, I know I'm a shitter

How did Kozilek and Ulamog die, was it really just Chandra's fire? I thought they were indestructible enternal entities from the blind eternities?

Nobody will actually play Clip Wings though. It's so bad it's not even sideboard material.

Oh fuck I forgot this targets the player and not a creature.

>Avacyn
>Emrakul
>One size fits all

Gotta love Clip Wings.

Don't listen to the shills posting about EDH. EDH is home to literally every retarded combo ever printed all at once.

But it was a fireball supported by the power of friendship!

People were playing it after SOI came out because Avacyn is a bitch.

>the egyptian set which was gonna be a spiritual successor to kamigawa followed by return to ravnica 2 rumor was false

Gets rid of Avacyn and punishes people trying to get cheeky by flipping over Westvale Abbey.

Continually drawing on 'area of earth' inspired settings shows a lack of creativity

that only works if they only have one flying monster on the field, you don't get to choose which flying monster they sacrifice.

Also Ojutai when Always Watching is out.
And Archangel of Tithes.

>wat?

Bullshit people keep this in sideboard specifically for things like Avacyn, Westvale Abby, and now Emrakul.

The only fliers anyone runs are the big bombs that you need to remove anyways. Nobody runs any small fliers except for janky thopter decks.

That is why you control the board with other stuff. It isn't infallible, but it is much better odds as dealing with this bullshit than other options.

Yeah that'd be a problem if they actually had another flier out, but most of the time they don't.

there's much better board clear options you dumb dumbs

god, this is like casual draft all over again

>Jacetice League

For the last time, Jace is NOT the main character!

Yeah but it wouldve been the same regardless of the next set
>dude poos in loos lmao
or
>dude we wuz kangs lmao

how much longer until the 7 year plan meme is over?

Care to enlighten us with your better options then?

t. Mark Rosewater

Alright then, how do you remove an untapped Ojutai or an Ormendahl?

Time to settle this.

Kos or Kosm?

I haven't been following the lore since Dragons.

What role so Sarkhan and Ugin now play?
