How much hull integrity do you need before it floods? It seems pretty hard to keep it up, but my base is almost touching the surface of the water.

i want to explore the crashed shuttle, am I going to die going over there?
There are some dangerous things there, but also some things you HAVE to go find :^).
faggot OP let it die last thread
post screenshots of what you found you nignogs
What is the point of the thermometer
Can my small sub be eaten/destroyed/broke? I don't want to have to build another.
Thermometer is good for planning out where to put your thermal reactors. Deeper bases will have trouble sustaining power with solar panels, and fuck using plant generators.
This game any good? thinking of picking it up.
It's too fucking scary for me oh god ;_;
If you like survival games that give you things to do, and if you can stand big scurry ocean critters then yeah, this game is awesome.
>BREEDAN
what?
can you tame creatures now?
Does it work with Vive yet? I want 2spooky VR
I think I took a better one but didn't upload it to steam, but here's pics of actual fucking land I put in my undersea base so I can look at it and weep while the reapers close in.
The game really needs some resources and shit to respawn because it makes getting certain shit tedious/impossible as all fuck
Your sub will blow up if you keep bumping into things or if a reaper leviathan grabs it while youre inside
also
>aside from the various upgrades, you can name your seamoth and change the color pallet
>this faggot doesn't even know that OP's can't bump their own threads
nigga, that OP didn't post anything after starting the thread. He can't bump it but he can try to attract others by posting shit at least.
>yfw running into a reaper leviathan for the first time
>no multiplayer
>only one map, no random generation
Subnautica is pretty fun but it has zero replayability.
Is this fun and worth purchasing?
Can I raise the bar?
The fuck is that thing?
Fuck off shill
It looks like cthulhu. You'd better go investigate it for us, user. Send pics.
subnautica.wikia.com
Totally harmless bro
Vive support when OP? We all know you're the dev
>want to discuss game
>can't because I'm a shill
just pirate it then, bros. I want to share screenshots with you guys.
>game shows you a Heat Source Icon for some reason
>spend an hour even finding the thing
>spend another hour building pipes so you can even go down that far and breath, dying constantly from radiation or lack of oxygen
>get down there just to get eaten constantly by mushroom eels
>finally get to the abandoned base
>find a way in, run right into jellyfish
>after 2+ hours, get to explore base, only a few data pads in it
>die from oxygen lose
What, the fuck, was the point of all that? Don't give me a fucking marker game and have nothing really there.
How hard can it fucking be to just hit the fucking "vive allowed" switch on for fuck sake? fuck the motion controller support, just do the same shit the rift does with head movement only. I'm still waiting for vive support before I dive in
I fail to see the problem. Not all games needs guns. Its his choice
>>spend an hour even finding the thing
>>spend another hour building pipes so you can even go down that far and breath, dying constantly from radiation or lack of oxygen

I was thinking of getting this for my VR headset. Is it any good for VR?
Never said I was clever.
If you actually care about this then you should honestly remove yourself from this world and more specifically this thread.
it won't stop spinning at top speed. I'm too afraid to go closer
Redpill me on this game Sup Forums
touch it
Nvm I don't need to buy this game
I found a nice little trick that makes batteries obsolete when using the seaglide. Get the fins that charge sruff wgile moving, and equip the Seaglide. You get infinite power.
Got it today on sale. I remember following it over a year ago but forgot about it. I expected it to have gone the way of most early access and shit the bed but it looks like the developers ate actually doing an amazing job.
Question: can I deconstruct the fabricator in the life pod and move it to my seabase?
Scan it you pussy.
I've seen enough hentai to know where this is going
No, you have to build another one.
I'm so happy that Sup Forums finally realized that this game is fantastic.
I think the developer is an autistic hippy retard but he has a point. Solving shit without just killing it is refreshing.
>Early Access
>Reaper leviathan grabbed my seamoth and crushed it while i was scanning shit
I-I didn't want it anymore anyways.
They're going to implement water temperatures later, and you can be cooked alive if you go into hot water and near volcanic vents, lava, etc. Also for the arctic biome they're planning, since cold water can kill you just as dead.
>exploring abandoned base
>mushroom eel grabs me from outside and kills me
Fucking
>my early-access survival game is a step towards a world without guns! #proudtobeacuck
jesus christ
I encountered this bug too.
Multiplayer will come later after they deliver the important parts of the game. And this isn't a roguelike or Pikmin, it doesn't need to be randomly generated each time nor could it be with the specific places you need to go to. They can easily add onto the world with new biomes and areas as time goes on.
Thinking of getting this game while its on sale, How much content does it have? don't want to get a game i'll only play for a couple of hours.
I have around 30 hours played so far
Ah, the bugged Reefbacks that spawn at 5x the normal size and spin constantly. I honestly hope they'll keep it, after fixing the bigs of course, have mega-Reefbacks that rarely spawn in the wide-open deep areas and wander around. They can be the ones that have other flora and fauna on their backs with stuff you can harvest and avoid/kill.
As far as early access goes this is one of the best EA games on steam. Its gotten constant development since 2014 with no end in sight.
Aggressive mega-reefbacks that spawn in the void
>stuff you can harvest on their backs
ALL OF MY WANT
This is a common bug. Response to my bug report like a month ago says "Random generation of Reefbacks in the incorrect biomes can cause the spinning if it gets caught on terrain and struggles to get free."
Tl;Dr momentum
Though the response said nothing about them being fucking huge
>Its gotten constant development since 2014 with no end in sight.
If this game's development is anything but Natural Selection 2 they will eventually get it perfect, and every patch after that will make it worse and worse until the game is unplayable.
And then the developers will smugly ignore the community claiming they know better.
*anything like
You mean the devs won't know how to stop hackers and so the game goes to shit? Cause that's what happened to NS2.
>hackers in a single player game
Who cares lmao
That was because of that one douche. He's not touching this game, thank god.
Like clockwork. It's hilarious watching Sup Forumsirgins get this pants-shittingly angry at people talking about VIDEO GAMES on the VIDEO GAME board when it's not a game they like. Is it really that hard for you to ignore one whole thread, children?
I recall the devs saying that giant reefbacks may be a thing, with mini-ecosystems on their backs.
I'd be ok with that, just roll back to the perfect build and never update its a single player game anyways 8)
>That was because of that one douche. He's not touching this game, thank god.
If you mean Hugh, you couldn't be more wrong. Charlie Cleveland, the guy who wrote the "no guns" thing promoted Hugh from PR man to full blown producer of Subnautica even though Hugh fucked up NS2 at every turn and was a PR disaster. People think it's because Hugh and Charlie have the same political opinions so he promoted him in spite of his huge failures.
So was the King of the Sea or whatever that fucking huge thing was going to be. I've been around both NS2's development to this one since it's launch. Frankly, I don't think the big RB's are intentional. (At least at the moment.)
>getting this rustled
>hurrr durrr children
I haven't played the game. I'm commenting on the dev's smug narcissism which is making me second-guess giving these hippie douches my money
>I can't shoot everything in a game I'm keepin' me monie!
The game's got plenty of shit to defend yourself with. It's not supposed to be Resident Evil or Dino Crisis.
Correction: King of the Sea was a working title a while ago. Called the Sea Emperor nowith according to wiki.
Not sure what you mean about the Sea Emperor Leviathan, but he's going to be in the game, he's a very important part of the story, and he's going to be colossal.
>NS2
>hackers
what
That's not whats turning me off. It's the fact that this cuck is so full of himself that he thinks his early-access survival game will make a difference in gun violence (it wont)
Also, I just want to point out that you're a faggot
Have you tried to play a game of Natural Selection 2 post like mid 2013?
I haven't heard much of it lately. Last I saw of it was on steam forums a month or two ago. Maybe I'm out of the loop. For a lot of the development I've seen concept art and the devs going "hey we did this really cool thing that may in the game sometime this year." Hell, the nuclear reactor didn't get a model for over 8 months or something like that.
Who cares what he thinks, the game being fun is what's important.
Yeah, I play it from time to time. Have never seen a hacker once. Maybe it's a US thing? I'm from Europe.
Yeah NS2 is like Modern Warfare 2 tiers of hacker density on NA.
>Who cares what he thinks
Yeah, who care if the dev is a fuckwit, it's not like his opinion isn't going to affect his own game one way or another.
Do you want a fresh tank of oxygen ?
There's a lot to do, and they're working hard to get it done. All of the current creatures and objects and stuff are in the game, Experimental Mode lets you spawn them, and the Emperor and Dragon are coming along nicely. The Dragon has nearly all of its animations aside from fire-breathing and its roars, and the Emperor has a good amount of its animations. Look up recently-made LPs on Youtube and you'll find people checking out everything and see the progress.
It's *been* affecting it since day one, friend, and it's turned out pretty fine.
Hasn't affected the game at all, actually. It doesn't need guns to be fun, you're got plenty of other shit to use and you can also just avoid the nasty beasts.
The opinion from these kind of idiots is ever shifting, it will go to shit at some point.
Is there a name for this picture of birds and phrases?
Like this or the one with the calculated risk?
Well if it looks like it's starting to go downhill, I'll be concerned then. Not now, though.
only early access game i haven't regretted purchasing. especially for the summer sale price.
You can get fish to breed in Large Aquariums.
Even find large creature eggs and have them grow in them too.
The larger fish can be used in Bio Reactors.
Three bio reactors is enough for simple bases at depth.
>auto-nav begins pinging like a frantic wounded animal
>down in the trench the ship's evacuation shuttle is screaming loud and clear she is there and not happy about it
>squirt telemetry indicates damage from the crash and flooding overtaking
>the odd thing is she appears to be holed in new places each hour not connected with flooded sections
>only a week until she is too water logged to ascend and get me the hell off this liquid hell planet
>thankfully hands were not idle and I dived with my Cyclops pattern deep sea vessel
>the trench is deep, too damn deep. Light is a rumor and the pressure would kill me in minutes even with a dive suit
>god damned rocks are blocking the path. going up and around would take 2 days to get over this dome and the shuttle collapsed the other entrances
>sea moth it is. it doesn't have to last long just long enough to get me inside
>the moth's hull shrieks in protest as the room floods and the pressure compounds it like child crushing a toad
>past the cavern and into the hallowed out magma dome the shuttle parked itself in
>the Moth's flood lights were not even making a dent in the darkness
>SSSKRRRREICKKK
>it has been nothing but O2 recyclers and my own heartbeat for nearly an hour so I justifiably pissed just a drop
>an alarm fills the holo display alerting me the shuttle just had 3 compartments flooded at once
>the urgent pinging became more rapid as the onboard AI stressed how fucked it was
>that is when I saw it
>or more correctly when it saw me
When you can get Sea Dragon eggs, the babies can be used to power the Thermal Reactor, and they cook anything you put in with them.
...
wait what do you need reactors for?
i havent played in a long time
Power for your base.
Won't those things just eat you?
Oxygen and crafting.
Having Oxygen in bases requires power (at least being generated).
Power for your bases when you're deep down.
This guy is just rolling in money laughing
He can't believe you retards would actually buy this shit
Hostile Creatures hatched in Aquariums do not eat anything. You can have a Stalker in an Aquarium full of Peeper and it won't touch a single one.
You can't get teeth from Stalkers in Aquariums though.
I say the same thing about every dev who makes games I hate and the people who enjoy things I don't.
Hostile creatures in the aquarium/alien containment will become "re-hostile" if you release them into the world, though. Not sure if that's going to be changed.
I bought the game and it's downloading now.
I have aquaphobia and agoraphobia. Will I like this game?
How the living fuck am IU supposed to get fuckingsalt
because I am constantly dieing of thirst because the damn game dosn't give me any and I am searching all over the place
I don't even have a fucking base yet either because the same is not giving me anything else that I need for that shit either
you're right, I changed my mind and now don't enjoy the game. you're so special.
There's going to be more dangerous flora soon. Hope you like tentacles.
