ITT: Bad games hipsters pretend to like.

This is incorrect.

No it isn't. Those games are clunky and slow, and no one actually enjoys playing them. It's a bunch of nostalgiafagging mustards who pretend they like them in order to seem cultured.

Why would anybody pretend to like a game?
You're an idiot, OP.

The majority of people who play these games have been playing them since they first came out.
But regardless, I picked them up after Fallout 3 and New Vegas and they're easily two of the best games in the series, right next to NV.

>those games are clunky and slow

Except they're not. They're weighted and incredibly visceral.

add new vegas to that

3>4>>>>nv>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>=1

go to bed todd

I feel bad for you. You're missing out.

Turnbased Isometric RPGs are very fun. It's a shame they're so rare nowadays, and it took an amazing one like Underrail like 8 years to make.

NV isn't as good as them

1 > NV > 2 >>> 3 > 4

I didn't think it was possible to have opinions this fucking shitty.

2 is superior to NV. It even handles casinos better with you being able to become a made man in several families, getting your car stolen with multiple ways to get it back, a boxing arena where you can cheat and use plated gloves, and the opportunity to become a pornstar (or fluffer) just in one location.

The Megashit man series.

STALKER

fuck off m8 fallout 1 and 2 are fucking great you just suck at them. follow a guide or something

>isometric
Wrong.

He's close enough. I can't even tell the difference between isometric and trimetric.

>Meanwhile, on bizzaro Sup Forums...

...

this worth picking up user? i was debating on making a thread asking Sup Forums but i thought i'd start with someone who actually LIKES something for once.

Not him but yes, it's fucking great if you're into old school isometric RPGs.

It's not "the fallout 3 that never was" like some people claim, it is mostly focused on exploration and combat. Less dialogue decisions and world reactivity. It's challenging and never holds your hand at all, you can actually get lost unlike 99% of other RPGs as the game doesn't even give you an overworld map, you navigate by being given directions and knowing which way is north. Combat system is really versatile, lots of viable character types, and it has fantastic atmosphere/lore.

I'd probably rate it the best of the revivalist RPGs in the past few years.

Appreciate it user. I think i'm going to buy it.

There's a "what to know" image floating out there somewhere but I don't have it saved, the most important stuff from what I remember is that dialogue skills are rarely useful so not recommended for a first playthrough, don't take the psychic abilities unless you're going to fully focus on them, and be aware the best equipment in the game can only be obtained by crafting (though you can finish without it if you don't want to craft).

Todd has been desperately trying to push Fallout 4 on Sup Forums since it came out.

BUT FIRST

...

It's pretty fun, get it if you enjoy Fallout combat. If you look for choice&consequence and world reactivity, try Age of Decadence.

Also post more of that semen demon.

I liked all games in the series and about to start F4 soon. However definitely 2 and 1 are the ones that I love the most. It really seems a pity they havent been able to be creative with the Bethesda games in the way you just mentioned -- I also remember all those events from 2, culminating with becoming a made man with the Wrights, even though its 10 years since I last played.

I wonder why they couldnt consult the writers of 1 and 2 for the newer ones? Pride? Money? Theyre great games to me but definitely lack some of the creative immersive stuff and it doesnt even seem so hard to come up with.

Fallout 4

what are you doing here todd? :^)

do it

Stalker is only painful in the early game it gets progressively better.
Try CoP instead of SoC, the pacing is better.
