There will never be a kotor style rpg set in the warhammer 40k universe
What would you even do?
Explore and play some small part in established lore
>KOTOR
Fuck no. I want a WH40K game with excellent gameplay, because that's something this game needs with all its rad as fuck weaponry.
>There will never be another good WRPG
40k is gay as fuck
You play as some special unit with special permissions, so you'd be allowed to have dudes from multiple Space Marine Chapters following you, or Imperial Guard.
Maybe a Inquisitor?
People in the 40k universe don't have the freedom to just going around doing stuff unless they are rogue traders or acolites of the inquisition.
That's the problem with making a game like tho. You're always stuck. There's so much things you could play besides Space Muhreens lke we always do.
Lore nerds will never be happy anyways, might as well bend the lore a bit so you can create a good game, which is what matters in the end.
So the Deathwatch?
Kinda, but the Deathwatch is Space Marine only right? No other Imperial units allowed?
You could be a stormtrooper, an acolite or a deathwatch marine and it could work.
Play a Rogue Trader. Easy.
ROGUE TRADER
I'd rather be a Rogue Trader.
...
I wasn't aware that they were a thing, I just read a bit about it, sounds pretty great.
>Being so fucking rich that whenever a problem arise you can just throw money at it untill it fix itself.
Imagine a Rogue Trader game based of Mass Effect. It could have the exploration elements of ME1 and the combat of ME2.
You would get this massive cruiser at the start of the game and populate it with new crew members and companions over time.
You could choose which faction(s) to ally with and perhaps even play them against each other.
Random boarding events/ship defense missions could be a thing.
Accepting xeno or chaos companions would obviously get you branded a heratic but could possibly unlock better or more unique upgrades?
>There will never be a Battlefront 2 styled 40k game with massively increased pop cap.
It would probably start as Imperium vs Chaos or Orks. Bonus points for 30k scenarios with Space Marine legions duking it out.
Most people would play as a guardsman, but Instead of playing as hero Jedis, you spawn in as a Space Marine, or stormtrooper, or something similarly OP.
>combat of ME2
Oh yeah, cover-based shooters, that's just what we need.
