Will it be good Sup Forums? Did you back it? Are you nervous after the MN9 fiasco?

Will it be good Sup Forums? Did you back it? Are you nervous after the MN9 fiasco?

It's literally a DS Castlevania. Whether or not that's worth 5 million is another question.

I don't back games. I do hope it's good though.

You aren't the one paying the 5 million dollars so don't worry about it

It's a lame uninspired nostalgia pandering that is still a step back. It's just IGA cashing in. See, guess who's the copyright holder to Bloodstained and all its characters? Iga and his new company. He's going to build himself a new Konami.

Why does Sup Forums still confuse producers and directors?

Given that the GBA and DS games all had different directors yet were very similar games I don't think you really understand who it is that is pushing the style. It was Iga, no matter what his nameplate said.

Igarashi was a director on SotN, not the producer.

Yes
No
No

>yet were very similar games

quality varied all over the place though. Aria and Circle seem to be the best. Order of Ecclessia is the best base game and mechanics, but it has lame level design.

he copy-righted his intellectual property? What an evil man!

>quality varied all over the place though.
Not for me ;)

It's going to be great as long as they keep these titties in the final version.

I feel they need to recolor the titties

Pretty solid taste my nigga.

Those two seriously need to meet.

More like he gave himself a promotion. As a producer he's just some mid-level manager. As CEO of New-Konami he gets all the Castlevania fans and the endless cash cow. It's Inafune all over again.

Ask ourself: does this game need to exist? It's really derivative of the Metroidvania games. Just the same thing in 3D.

Games shouldn't exist. You should dedicate your entire life to working and religious pursuits.

Harmony is just such a mess of a game from top to bottom. You can tell the idea is "make a gba symphony of the night". But all that does is they take backgrounds and enemies from Symphony, and compress them down, and all that does is focus your attention that this is a GBA titel that can't pull off what a PS1 can. Juste is too much like Alucard, and his blue after image is really lame. Gameplay is a mess too.

>does this game need to exist?
considering so many people wanted him to make it, yes. Its SoTN in modern looks, he doesnt try anything new, and thats fine by me.
you are literally mad at him for doing his job.

The demo is everything I want in a new Castlevania game, and I completely regret not backing it. My only real complaint is that the demo boss has a lot of color issues, but I'm sure minor details like that will be fixed in the final product, and even then it isn't a big deal in my eyes.

They have to do something drastically stupid like completely removing Miriam's chest to get any sort of negative outcry compared to MN9.

Would you prefer this?

>Are you nervous after the MN9 fiasco?
More nervous since this happened. Worried iga is just gonna run off with our money

is that the weeb DLC for Bloodborne™?

Yes
Yes
A little, but I jest played it, and it's great

prototype was a really neat game, I'm surprised I don't see it brought up more often

Miriam (who is growing on my btw) and the background clash. She's a bright blue anime girl. The backgrounds are bland with washed out colors and no contrast.

This is fine

>Ask ourself: does this game need to exist?
I want it to exist

>that edited saturation on the Bloodstained screenshot

ebin shitpost

>Xenosaga III
you had to ruin everything

...

>Ask ourself: does this game need to exist?
No game needs to exist but I want it to exist.

>2006
Shit list.

>Not liking the spooky atmosphere and great area ideas like bone cave, floating chapel and pathway of deplore
>Not realizing most of the sprites are redrawn rather than "compressed down"
>Not dashing through the castle like a madman
>Not enjoying being lost in a confusing as fuck maze

>waahhhh why doesn't my hivemind treat bloodstained like another tortanic??????
>i didn't even play the demo, i just want another tortanic!!!!
>why can't every game be a tortanic????

More castlevania please, downloaded the demo game runs fine. a huge throwback to the DS games which is fine by me. and is much better than might no.9 in my opinion.

Fuck off faggot, Igarashi is still OK in my book.

>He thinks Xenosaga Episode III is Episode II

What

WILL IT HIT??

This is getting more forced than the forced jap Phil Fish meme

Igarashi is ok, fuck you tortanic faggots
and iga is hot no homo

it did with blunder 9

I can see why he no longer makes 30 hour games

Agreed, this game really needs some innovation. It would be much better if Miriam had to dash into enemies to defeat them.

Well, it's, presumably, the first level, the boat on the way to the castle. Boats aren't exactly know to be colourful. The concept art ha shown the castle to be a lot more colourful.

The demo was good. This game will be amazing fuck the shitters. Their opinions are chunks of rock salt, mined by niggers from africa

>It's literally a DS Castlevania.

So basically it'll be decent at best unless it's PoR tier.

Is there anywhere to see who is actually working on the game? The staff? Since Konami fired everyone, I'd imagine Iga can make an all-star team of those who worked on Metroidvanaias before.

>HoD and DoS

Disgusting

>PoR
>Good

>por had the best dracula fight but worse everything else

>2001

>The concept art ha shown the castle to be a lot more colourful.
>concept art

Because we all know the final product ends up resembling the concept art. Face it, this shit was going to look ugly no matter what once we knew it was going to be a 2.5D game. Worst part is how shit the enemy design is, since they could have at least gotten that much right.

DoS is a good game. It's only issue is that shitty animu art style but other than that the game is very solid

>people funding the man who started the decline and death of the series
I will never understand this

What's wrong with FFX?

>Worst part is how shit the enemy design is

dude tits lmao

Other than that and the fucking atrocious touch gimmicks, you mean. And the dopey as fuck dialogue from characters you don't give a fuck about. Oh and the shit bosses.

I loved Harmony of Despair. It was a blast to play, and it pains me knowing we're never going to ever get another game like it.

PoR at least had a ton of areas to grind through with that faptastic Mootroidvania CV combat, even if all the rooms were copypasta

Final Fantasy that popularized the linearity that plagues the series today, a whiny cunt of a mc, a cardboard cut out as main romance interest and not atb. X-2 is a better game than X since it doesn't take itself seriously

Let's talk Metroidvanias.

>Symphony

Great, big the best. Has the biggest feel and scope.

>Circle

Have a real soft spot for this one. Nice GBA graphics with new sprites.

>Harmony

Mini-Symphony. Tries to look like Symphony on a GBA and copy its art style and game, but doesn't really work. Really hideous game.

>Aria

The best. Everything comes together. Gorgeous 2D graphics and sound which are the best out of the gba games. Fast, fun gameplay. Souls system is great and leads to tons of customization.

>Dawn

I can't explain why but this one bores me to tears. Story is just "here we go again". Tried replaying it and got bored. Feels like such a step down from Aria.

>Portrait

Boring. Feels like a romhack.

>Order

This one feels the most fresh and new. By removing weapons and turning everything into souls, it feels like it's the next step for the mechanics after Aria. The level design is often just corrodoors, which is lame. I might replay this one.

FF was always linear except the WoR in 6. You were just fooled into not noticing it because muh world map when really there was nowhere else significant to go but the next dungeon to progress the story

It also had best girl

>Not playing JRPGs solely for the story
Cuck desu senpai

>Other than that and the fucking atrocious touch gimmicks
Only touch gimmick I remember is the runes and they weren't bad unless you are a five year old who can't draw lines.

>And the dopey as fuck dialogue from characters
Castlevania never had good dialogue

>Oh and the shit bosses.
Gergoth, Death, Aguni, Puppet master and Demitri were great

Indeed.

Julius mode was the best shit ever.

It would have been perfect if they gave us a Grant.

>have to kill 100 axe armors to unlock
Fuck that shit

I did back it, development is looking well enough as to not worry me to think its another MN9 shit

Shutaro Iida is working on it. He's a programmer who's worked on Aria, Portrait, Dawn, and The Phantom Pain. He's also directed Harmony of Dispair.

>tfw someone actually didn't like DoS bosses

>By removing weapons and turning everything into souls, it feels like it's the next step for the mechanics after Aria.

I hate that garbage. I like finding cool weapons within the environment itself, not from farming them and they not end up being particularly interesting weapons anyway.

you: you have good taste

Anyone having performance issues with the demo? Feel like I shouldn't be getting 30 fps with a GTX 780.

You find "weapon souls" in the environment though. It's the same thing.

This is honestly the only boss that even really stands out in memory to me. And I played this thing not long ago at all.

The only thing I'm worried about is the music, it's kind of underwhelming and doesn't have a real unique tone, you can obviously hear that it was composed by Michiru, but it's nothing special compared to other Castlevania games.

HoD was fucking terrible.

Here are the system requirements for the demo:

OS: Windows 7 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core i5 @ 3.3 GHz or AMD Phenom II X6
Memory: 8 GB RAM
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7790 or Nvidia GeForce GTX650TI (DirectX 11 required)
Storage: 5GB available space

You find those while casually strolling through the environment because the level design is insanely linear, and they're boring as fuck upgrades over previous weapons rather than feeling distinct or interesting in any way.

Welcome to Unreal4, user. Better pucker up your butthole for when actual full environment 3D games come out that use it rather than just 2.5D. Engine overhead creep is real.

The game has no budget and they probably did their best.

He just doesn't like the style enough so some of them can actually be done poorly to him. If he really loved the style he would be able to eat literal shit congealed into a model of Dracula's castle

The game was literally "Reused Assets: The Game" and yet it managed to be incredibly fun.

I don't really understand what you are complaining about.

Yamane tended to lose her way for DoS after not being on the series for awhile and only revved back up for PoR and OoE so she may need some time to get going

He's a dudebro that expected a 2D platformer that isn't Mario to have a 40 million dollar AAA budget with 20 different sprite artists working on it full time in 2012

>Same team as made Mighty Number 9
>Sup Forums expects different results

Learn the difference between Comcept and Inti Creates and their roles on Mooty Noomber Noon

Why is Sup Forums so desperate for Bloodstained to be another Mighty No. 9?
Why aren't you hoping for the game to be good instead?

Tortanicucks want another victim for their drama crusade

Because Sup Forumsirgins are stupid and have the worst opinions.

Sup Forums got conned by a producer with a tenuous connection to a franchise preying on our nostalgia.

Never again.

Looks gr8.

Demo was impressive. I backed it, it's the only kikestarter i ever backed and i have no regrets so far.

>Nostalgia
>For a formula last implemented in 2008 with OoE

I knew Sup Forums was underage but I didn't realize it was this underage

>Demo was impressive.

Slow, ugly, easy. Mediocre.

Does even Mario have a large budget these days? It's not like NSMBU is anything amazing.

Probably a bunch of unnecessary staff just sitting around doing nothing just because it's Mario and sells like mad no matter what they do

what did he mean by this?
