First game I got for my 360. It was a lot of fun, but like many other games I don't think you could convince someone to play it today for the first time.

i don't see a reason why any of the main saints row games couldn't be played today.
all except 1 has coop campaign and they just get better after 1 anyways.

saints row has both good things and bad things about it if rockstar and the makers of saints row teamed up the could make an amazing game

I thought the OP was talking specifically about the first one regardless of the filename. 2 gets a fair amount of love on Sup Forums

The first game is just a paid beta for the stuff that did make it into release. Second game is the closest to their vision. Third game suffered due to making a new engine while the fourth has just a superhero game that just uses the name with a 4 added to it.

first one is pretty good too but it lacks coop campaign which is how i mainly play sr games now.
altho it should still be a great play regardless of that, just alittle lonely

I haven't ever used the coop feature, so I didn't even consider that. Sounds like fun

Saints row did not really hit its stride till saints row 3. 1 and 2 were just gta with better vehicle customization

2 was the best. Everything after was shit. Couldn't even change your socks!

i have played the 1 saints row and the second saints row the 4 saints row is not as good with the powers and all that but i still want to 100 precent it

1st one is shit and not really worth it, it's a blatant GTA rip off and most of it's value comes from letting you know of events referenced in Saint's Row 2, the best SR game.

2 was just another gta clone. 3 and 4 were when it got its own personality.

i have not had frame drops on my xbox not for the 1 or second one a least i only have problems on 4

3 and 4 were too lol so randumb XD
2 was the best in the series.
It had humour but didn't go off the deep end.

The third game didn't know what it wanted to be due to the shit they had to modify, add and removed just to get it out the door. Resulting in a game that ends up schizophrenic and chock full of dlc that could've been in the main game at launch.

3 was fun because it was fun, it didn't have to adhere to realism, that's when saints row truly became its own.

Absolutely loved this series although i got a little lost with 4 I'm still a big fan, 2nd game still remains my favorite though story wise #CarlosForever

2 was the best it had good music clothes the new gangs were interesting and it had of course some truly sad moments

They wanted to do it 100% in house instead of hiring another company to port the product to other platforms and it end up being so bad it defies logical explanation (Somehow it would not load itself into memory, something that windows does for every program by default when it's ran). That and they wanted it to be more modder friendly, but they never actually did anything to make it modder friendly, in fact i think they modding APK they promised still hasn't released, though I could be wrong.

the thing that stops it from being perfect, is the fact that it was 360 exclusive
