LIQUIIIIIIIIID

Naked Snake v Boss

My favorite part in this whole thing was Liquid tossing his shades and coat off into the sunset, scream each other's names in reverb, punch the shit out of each other, fall to their knees, jab needles into each other's necks and watch their life bars sync up all while the patriotic horns were playing in the background. It almost makes up for all the stupid shit in this game, and there's a lot of it.

>I cane still fight... I can still fly!

Too bad everything leading up to it was a fucking mess. Pretty much every final boss in the series (barring snuffaluffagus) was better, especially because in every other game the gameplay of the boss controls just like the gameplay from the rest of the game.

I'd play through Undertale 100 times if it meant MGS4 was erased from history.

Something something Dragon Quest V.

Name a worse sequel than MGS 4
You can't. The only thing that even comes close is Invisible War. Fuck MGS 4.

>Half as long.
>Twice as bright. I gotta try.
>I know.

Both endings got me in tears
10/10 perfect game

>I'd play through Undertale 100 times if it meant MGS4 was erased from history.
Same here.
Hell, it doesn't even need to be erased, I just need Kojima or Konami to say "Oh, yeah, that was all a dream, none of that happened"

Here you go OP

They are actually pretty similar fights

>lel you didn't actually beat Ocelot he just died from FOXDIE, also this was all his plan anyway so that whole punchout didn't really have any point, also here's Zero he fucked up everything for everyone and now we're both dead bleah.

It's amazing how after a 10 hour decent from some of the best gameplay and action of the series to literal shit Kojima managed to sink the game just that little bit lower before the end.

>MGS4
>some of the best gameplay and action of the series
You don't really believe this.

The actual playing of the game is pretty fun, solid, and good.

Take MGO2 for instance. It's really great when we have the gameplay all to ourselves.

What makes me more emotional is that Phantom Pain is actually labeled MGSV. They shouldn't have set that expectation.

But everything in the Middle East was amazing. The two warring sides that you can join, the game gives you just enough tools to keep things interesting but not enough to break the game, the action set pieces don't take away too much control from the player.

It's not until you get the Camo Mask that the game devolves into "crappy gimmick section" and "Crawl along with 99% camo section"

dragon age 2

I unironically played through that 4 times and ignored Inquisition though.

Yeah, that's the problem. You just described a fifth of the game. The rest is shit.

NO ONE STOPS

MGS V

Nice meme.

hardest boss in dark souls 3 because you had to fight through your tears

V = Venom, not "five".

MGS4 was fine.
I've played through it something like 23 times. You people are babies.

No, it's not the best; MGS2 was the best and MGS1 was the best standalone experience, but it's fine.

What fucking game did you play where you didn't go through the whole game demonstrating your sick tranq headshot skill?
>crawl along with 99% camo
My fucking ass. Why would you play the game like that when the game gives you a gorillion other options for dealing with any scenario that comes your way?

Did you not even *try* to have fun with it? Like doing the post-Vamp Gekko defense with the M82A2 instead of the Railgun?

Fighting Xion in Kingddom Hearts 358/2 Days

This actually.

But probably because the rest of the game was such horrid boring shit that the final fight was awe inspiring in comparison and super emotional

They still set the expectation.

It loses all of that emotion as soon as you find out that Ocelots just been playing retarded the entire game and you never actually had a dramatic final brother vs brother showdown, but instead beat up an old gay faggot until he remembers who he is

>Let us be blessed with glory as we cross the gates of Hell!
youtube.com/watch?v=HRUb3YkxPWU

It's not even fair that one level gets two pieces of music this great

It made me feel like shit in so many ways
Not even just muh nostalgia

It really reframes the games as being about how one very proud man tried so desperately to preserve the golden age he held so dear
And how his fuckups have doomed him to an eternity of serving the same worthless cause that brings him nothing but pain

I love how the track starts out so bombastic while you think it's some super badass finale sendoff, then Gwyn's music comes back in and you just feel so bad for this thing knowing Gwyn has probably been in there a very, very long time and you never put him out of his suffering to begin with

...

the best brother died in MGS2 already

and ocelot is secretly the main character of the entire franchise (barring V), along with big boss (less secret)

>fighting letho ever

Souls of Cinder

>another thread where PW Babbies try to shit on MGS4 again
What's with the recent sudden attacks on MGS4? It's not on sale or anything.

Real shit though the omega flowey fight is awesome. Not as awesome as the boss or liquid but pretty rad
