This I disagree with. Judging from the very short demo, the game totally feels like the original game, only in 1st person.

Leon is about the closest to a nobody, he was a plain old beat cop on his first day that miraculously survived the outbreak, the Tyrant variant that was hunting him, and managed to make Ada's panties moist.

I hate that this game is so much worse than PT. It didn't even try to build proper suspense, it all still depends on jumpscares. I predict the game will be very mediocre, if the demo is anything to go by.
If they're serious about remaking RE2 then I guess I'm happy with them keeping the mainline RE games as call of evil.

Claire was the most nobody anyone got in the whole series.
But my point was they were out of their element, against something unknown, and all of their training and experience meant jack shit against the horrors that awaited them in that mansion.
Compared to roid Chris punching boulders in active volcanoes, or Leon Kennedy diving out second story windows without serious injury. I want a newcomer who doesn't have the experience and is out of their depth. Having a returning character would kind of ruin some of the tension and horror of the game.
