ExDeath is my favourite FF villain, he's probably as hammy as an unvoiced character ca get, but his motivation is little more than: "MWAHAHAHA!" (a line he very often spouts) and the story of the game revolves around stopping him.

A lot of people take for granted old FF shit. For its time the story elements were new and fresh. I guess seeing everything written today becoming cliched and cliched it's hard to appreciate things.

Have you played 3? It's mediocre and sometimes downright bad. It's an oldschool RPG, like really oldschool. You have to grind A LOT and there's a really dumb class leveling system along with spell levels

Why do people dislike ff12 so often? It's maybe a bit generic in the story and chars but the gameplay was great and it solved the "can't be turn based anymore" problem. I wish they would have continued with Matsuno.

FFXI was a very good game, although I wish they would have dropped the 11 and gave us a proper 11 and 14, it was exactly what I woanted in a mmo. RIP mmo.
