what is the best call of duty game so far ?
What is the best call of duty game so far ?
the one where you shoot things
The last one
Depends on what you mean.
Some purists will say nothing since finest hour was good, or nothing after WAW.
Personally I feel like the original black ops has the best story mode and BO3 has decent MP. Probably pretty hard to beat MW2 MP as long as you're ok with it being unbalanced.
The 12th one, you know the one where you go to war and shoot bad guys
Black ops 1 was the best in my opinion
The first one.
Black Ops 3 was surprisingly fun for not playing the past 4+ CoD games.
The last one though that I really enjoyed was WaW and that was only because I played it day 1, and continued playing it through every dlc and so forth. Zombies also really helped the longevity of that thing.
So for me World at War.
Modern Warfare 2
Any cod before they went full future.
The first one.
black ops 3 was fun but its slowly getting bad because of all the new players, the supplydrop system is still broken too, I only got the season pass for the zombies
CoD is mainstream garbage
Kys OP
You posted it famalam.
...
alight mate no one cares
Here's my full review (of the campaigns):
1: Fun, good iconic moments, Russian sniper babe
2: Classic COD, the tank running over the trenches, good sniping
3: started the tradition of 3arc having better, more relatable characters, French resistance FTW
4: All Ghillied up and mile high club are some of the best missions of all time. Soap is the man. Also AC130
5: Best of the WWII games, definitely some great characters (Roebuck), Black cat mission is cool.
6: Killing General Shepherd at the end is boss. Great campaign overall. "Ramirez do everything"
7: Best of all time "the numbers, Mason, what do they mean"
8: OK conclusion to MW series . Only a few Yori levels are really fun.
9: BO2 had a bunch of mechanics that should have been kept: choose your ending, strike force missions, and loadouts. Shame.
10: Was playing it again and the dialog and writing are pretty cringey. But the game overall is solid and has some fun missions.
11: Good first effort from SHG. I liked the end missions with the goliath
12: Funnest campaign to play, loved the safehouse, combat sim, armory, cyber cores. Completely disgusted by the story- no payoof from BO 1 and 2, 3deepforu nonsense, absolutely tragic wasted opportunities
Really excited for IW to take the good parts of BO 2 and 3 (safehouse, optional missions) and run with them.
Yeah black market is total bullshit
agreed
the contracts are shit too I want more weapon bribes
Thanks :)
Yeah it's a total ripoff. I bought season pass how come that does come with all dlc guns like before? I would even pay for the dlc guns separately, but I refuse to gamble for them.
im sat in class so I thought I would just start a convo ;7
Advanced Warfare. It had flaws but Sledgehammer introduced a lot of new ideas worth exploring further. The movement system in BO3 was honestly a downgrade especially for KB+M players.
Too bad the loudest and most obnoxious parts of the fucking shitty fanbase want less wacky future hijinks and more simplicity and boredom.
it wouldn't be half bad if it was just cosmetic items
What's your fave mission? What are you hoping to see in IW?
Yeah, I was fine with weapon skins, taunts etc. But when I saw guns I lost my shit. especially the MX. I mean that's a gun from COD 3 (first treyarch ever.) they really think it's ok to make us gamble for a (good) gun from nine years ago?
SHG is a decent studio full of guys that honestly love COD. It was a good first try. I would buy AW2. I like BO3 movement better but the boost jump and railgun were bretty gud.
I post this in every thread but Henry Ford always said "If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said 'faster horses'".
IW is a car, Battlefield 1 is a faster horse.
im not sure what it was called but the mission were you do Russian roulette in bo1 in IW I want to see new weapons we haven't seen yet in other games and have 1 or 2 DLC guns
Oh yeah, when Bowman dies and you and Frank Woods steal the helicopter? That one is badass, clearing out the whole river. And Kowloon because of all the cool guns in that mission. Grim Reaper, PSG-1, G18.
Supposedly IW has more guns than ever and more 2-mode guns (iron sight and a scope, use one or the other by tilting the gun, or a sniper that you can flip the scope off. I want to see a good mix of realistic and future guns like AW. I have like 1337 headshots alone with the AW railgun.
the mission was called ''Payback''
But user, in most of the games you were shooting the good guys.
Playing as the bad guys would be kinda cool desu
Oh yeah.
in BO3 you def are the villain. But it doesn't matter because the story sucks.
I don't play mp, but campaign wise I quite liked adwanced warfare, some really nice cinematic scenes, like the bridge, van chase, atlas introduction, crashing the plane with no survivors, some of it you could even argue was atmospheric, and I know you could argue a lot about cod on Sup Forums
yh deof
>in BO3 you def are the villain.
really? i thought my character was honoraburu and played as such
Modern Warfare 2
Yeah, killing all of your squadmates without even giving them a chance to explain themselves and continuing to back the CIA after you knew they were conducting illegal human experiments, definitely honorable.
OMG that level.
Infinite Warfare
Wait a minute...
No shilling, I legit think it will be.
What happened to this user? Want to be COD friends?
>Implying anything other than zombies wasn't shit
Zombies is shit. Go play a zombies game if you want zombies.
>Go play a zombies game if you want zombies.
Okay. I'll play Call of Duty zombies
Same. Cool story, no future bullshit, customization in multiplayer wasn't balls to the walls crazy like 2 and 3, and great maps (Nuketown, Firing Range, Summit etc).
In the generation where basically everyone has cameras, microphones, all sorts of crap monitoring them.
In the game with character customization.
You think Treyarch's twist about THE PERSON CONTROLLING THE MAIN CHARACTER would be you, not some barely memorable fuck named taylor. Seriously who thought making that the twist should be killed, MGSV did it a million times better and that twist wasn't good either. Fuck BLOPS III
Will be best, and will be best selling of all time.
Why is MW3 the highest selling CoD of all time
IW is made by neo-Infinity Ward, devs of MW3 and Ghosts, the two worst games of the franchise.
agree
hope so
Shills are getting desperate for pushing their rotten franchise.
MW3 was good . Also
They would've made ghosts 2 but were told by a ca marketer to make IW In order for it to Be successful. That alone says it will be a good game.
bc it came after cod 4 and mw2 two of the most loved, people assumed it would be good.
Yeah, hopefully those guys from naughty dog help them out some. I liked ghosts ok
No it wasn't, it was a duller, less memorable MW2, it was completely unnecesary.
>They would've made ghosts 2 but were told by a ca marketer to make IW In order for it to Be successful. That alone says it will be a good game.
How does the advice of a guy thinking only in sales mean anything?
IW is the first cowadooty dev to drop their franchise, that says enough-
>MW3
> good
mwokay
Glad they didn't make ghosts 2, don't understand what you are tying to say.
Not a shill, just like COD.
>Yeah, hopefully those guys from naughty dog help them out some. I liked ghosts ok
Don't you have to check the latest pewdiepie video?
Why are you in a CoD thread if you don't play CoD?
Old CoDs were really good, the new ones are an abomination and everyone know Infinite Warfare is getting shilled hard in Sup Forums, just like BO3.
>kowloon
You don't even want to know how many times I've replayed that fucking mission. Almost reminded me of Shadow Warrior, so fucking comfy and the perfect modern CoD level.
>badass
Not surprised an unironical COD thread is full of Redditors.
Better than Ghosts, had some good dlc maps. It matters cause he told Infinity Ward what to do to make a successful game, if they went with Ghosts 2 they wouldn't have put in the amount of effort they did with IW.
>he actually buys CoD DLC
Kill yourself.
>It matters cause he told Infinity Ward what to do to make a successful game
He told them how to make a CoD that will sell a lot, they probably put the same effort neo Infinity Ward does: none.
what's a pewdiepie?
I'm genuinely excited
those guns tho
literally never been to reddit
still don't understand how marketers make a game better?
Yeah and if it sells a lot, its a good CoD. If they made Ghosts 2 that would suck, and in turn the sales would be lower.
meh ghosts 2 could have been ok
but IW will be hot.
>Yeah and if it sells a lot, its a good CoD
Infinite Warfare will be Black Ops 3 in space, but made by the worst developers of this dead franchise.
It's going to be hot, hot garbage, not even the E3 gameplay looked interesting at all.
Recycled plane mechanic from BO2, and recycled zero gravity gameplay from Ghosts.
Not to mention they couldn't have made more generic looking ships.
Why is Search and Destroy consistently the best way to enjoy CoD multiplayer? Even the worst call of duty (ghosts) is playable when it's Search and Destroy.
>buy CoD on PC
>only mode alive is team deathmatch
This is why I dropped the franchise completely.
BO3 in space sounds fun.
I feel like every part of your post is wrong.
zero g was the best part of ghosts. The plane is nothing like the BO2 ones. The ships look like aircraft carriers, what would you have them look like? This isn't star citizen.
You're just mad because come november I'll be comfy and exploring the solar system and you.. won't be, I guess?
Because it takes actual skill, and communication when playing with friends.
Hate SND
so annoying
Probably because of its muh one life rule. That's why I like Rainbow Six Siege since it doesn't have the die/spawn/die routine.
>plays CoD for the campaign
you should just get a blank piece of paper, title it 'your life', and just rethink it all mate
>BO3 in space sounds fun.
Yeah, literally the same game but with a different skybox texture is so fun.
>zero g was the best part of ghosts
Nothing special about it.
>The plane is nothing like the BO2 ones.
How is it not?
>The ships look like aircraft carriers
Exactly, they didn't put any kind of thought into it, they just took modern vehicles and made them fly.
>You're just mad because come november I'll be comfy and exploring the solar system
No, you'll be playing 10 linear levels of a 3 hour long, scripted to death campaign.
>exploring the solar system
So, something that has been done to death in videogames?
In november I'll be probably replaying The Witcher 3, you know, a game that actually makes you want to explore, and with a world worth exploring, not a bunch of corridors.
And If I wanted to explore no the solar system, but the galaxy, I would get Elite Dangerous, not Cowadooty in space.
The CoD campaigns are so f*cking epic, only thing more epic are Transformers movies. :)
I just wanted to say that it's fucking hilarious how little Activision knows it's audience.
Seriously, this thread feels like Reddit, not like Sup Forums
People who unironically bought MW3's DLCs, people unironically talking about COD campaigns, people unironically saying that Ghosts was anything but hot garbage, and in some threads, people unironically taking part in COD vs Battlefield fights.
Seriously, who are you trying to fool?
Everyone knows exactly what's going on here.
CoD is a franchise with a dead reputation, you thought Sup Forums, the place were all memes are born, was a good place to start, so you started forcing shills, praising this trash.
Could you be any more obvious?
I love COD campaigns. They're fun and dumb. >Yeah, literally the same game but with a different skybox texture is so fun.
what is COD
Zero G was fun.
The plane is a FUCKING SPACESHIP
How exactly do you expect space aircraft carriers to look?
Yes, COD has short scripted campaigns. I know what I'm buying. Even 3-4 optional missions will be fun.
Have fun replaying a game from last year or whatever.
I can't speak for anyone else but I have been playing cod since I was 17 and I just like it
>Completely disgusted by the story- no payoof from BO 1 and 2, 3deepforu nonsense, absolutely tragic wasted opportunities
I thought it was great actually. It was quite a mindfuckery once you realize that none of what you did was real and the only real thing that happened for you was the first mission after which you've died, and the first mission is actually the last.
Either CoD 4 or Advanced Warfare
>Zero G was fun.
Yeah, it was epic as f*ck, not totally a gimmick that got old 1 minute in.
>The plane is a FUCKING SPACESHIP
So?
The controls look the same shit.
>How exactly do you expect space aircraft carriers to look?
I don't expect space aircraft carriers to exist because it's a dumb as fuck concept.
You carry the ships inside, not on top, so there's no reason to have the same design.
It's the fucking space.
>Have fun replaying a game from last year or whatever.
Have fun replaying a game from 9 years ago with some $60 gimmicks and a campaign as long as two TW3 missions.
>It was quite a mindfuckery once you realize that none of what you did was real and the only real thing that happened for you was the first mission after which you've died, and the first mission is actually the last.
It's a fucking mediocre attempt at being Hideo Kojima, and they just put a pointless twist for the sake of having a twist because they were too lazy to make a campaign like BO2.
Don't even know why this shit is called Black Ops.
>Cowadooty shill unironically trying to make CoD #41897239081724908172908 look better than TW3
Man, this thread is fucking hilarious.
I'm baffled at how out of touch these shills are with this place.
Honestly AW had a better movement system because it felt more like Crysis, whereas BO3 was more like Mirror's Edge and it wasn't all that great.
>Too bad the loudest and most obnoxious parts of the fucking shitty fanbase want less wacky future hijinks and more simplicity and boredom.
IW clearly shows that they've run out of future warfare ideas. The franchise needs a bit of a cooldown on the futureshit and go back to it's roots.
did they fund the development of this gun just to see how ridiculous and stupid a firearm can get?
There's no jetpacks in Crysis.
And seriously, all the futureshit included just made the game a caotic clusterfuck.
Then again, after IW's and BF1's reception, i'm pretty sure the next one will be in WWII.
I liked it though. I mean, the shitty part is that they made it a little too obvious through the campaign, but if they made the mindfuckery a little more subtle it'd be WAY better.
But the small things like you hearing the corvus speech when you're about to die after you get infected, or the fact that you can choose any mission as you begin and don't need to unlock them which showcases that it's not real is pretty great.
>make a twist
>campaign would be completely fine as is
>explain the twist in some fast-forwarded text
Were they just bored?
>That last part
Campaign? What campaign? As far as I'm concerned, MW Remastered is a HD revamp of the best modern multiplayer shooter ever made. That's all it needs to be.
>There's no jetpacks in Crysis.
No but your exosuit was essentially a nanosuit copy, along with all the modes. High jumps and mobility was a cool thing to change in typical cowadoody gameplay.
Also, the graphics were surprisingly good and the fucking sound was amazing.
I think they just wanted to make it more accessible to people. Maybe they thought nobody would figure out what was really going on or something. But I'd say they did fine taking it a step further from BO1 mind shit.
No, i'm talking about IW.
Not even taking into account COD4 HD just like I would not consider TW1 HD part of TW3.
Nothing is real so nothing matters. It's so disjointed and the only way you can understand what you said is by researching. Very lazy to not have a self-contained story. You probably also think shit movies like Lucy are good.
Also, no reznov, no Mason, no nothing from 1 and 2
like he said why even call it BO?
Corvus was good but the rest of it was garbage.
Cannot believe people are defending BO3 story.
Campaign: BO2
MP: MW2 or BO3
>Also, no reznov, no Mason, no nothing from 1 and 2
>
>like he said why even call it BO?
They mentioned Menendez though. In fact, the entire creation of Winslow Accord was due to the events of Blops2.
It's sad how that ''leaked'' plot was much better than what we got.
This
Still miss the noob-tubes tho, nothing more satisfying than insta killing a guy across the map then seeing him leave the game instantly
