Great game.
Felt good when I hit level 3 for the first time.
And then in the next chapter I had more level 3 kills than any other level (even got level die).
Felt good.
My style was impetuous.
Is there any other game where you can customize fighting techniques like in God Hand?
The real-time difficulty scaling really is fucking brilliant.
>those vintage memes in the chihuahua race contestant names
Crazy how hilarious I thought this was. Would probably cringe my dick off if I saw a game doing it today.
God Hand is one of the greatest games of all time and if you disagree you are a flaming faggot beyond all measure.
only char action i cant beat on normal due to difficulty.
maybe 1 day
My friend used to be super nuts about this, to the point where he can area 1 and area 2 on two consoles at the same time without dying
Where abouts have you got to?
Chihuahua races are how you make the big bucks
Card gamblers can git out
Beating God Hand should really be the litmus test for deciding if someone knows their shit about hard games that do their difficulty right. Soulsfags need not apply
I never did the chihuahua races.
The card games seemed heavily in your favor, so I decided I didn't need to learn the races.
If you can't acquire skill, acquire patience.
The humor of the game really grew on me.
Stuff like the power rangers slowly rolling away made me laugh a lot.
Also when you knock all the guys out of the window in Olivia's apartment made me laugh.
they had the best theme

I've always wanted to hear this with Japanese lyrics and a live orchestra backing, just like a real sentai theme song.
Will we still be on Sup Forums in 10 more years?
fuck man, that's deep
Yes
For sure
You can do better than that.
God Hand on hard actually isn't as hard as you think. The game gives you predictable move sets by your enemies, 10 seconds of invincibillity for when a situation gets sticky, 2-4 free powerful moves you can use when you need them and a dodge that can avoid all attacks.
Seriously, God Hand is only hard on a Hard KMS run and that's because you rely one hundred percent on your skill in fighting instead of having a safety net of the God Hand and the Roulette Wheel.
If you ever want to git gud at God Hand. Check these videos out.

I watched them a year or so back and immensely improved.
What's the fun in not learning the game yourself?
Horrible game. It's the living proof Sonyfags enjoy shitty games.
What does it feel like to spank a girl's butt Sup Forums?
By the time I watched those videos I had already finished God Hand on Normal twice, and once on Hard.
I actually watched those videos in a cocky sense, believing that I knew everything the game had to offer, and was shocked at what I didn't know even from the basic video. By watching both I improved how I played the game in a lot of ways.
Sometimes, you just miss things.
GIANT ENEMY CRANE
I LOVE IT
I prefer to knead it in my palms desu
I'm too good to stay below level die but too shit to survive on die. I would progress faster if I was a little worse at the game I think. Still love it though.
So like, the Kick Me sign playthrough is just a testament to how long you're willing to go without dying, right? It doesn't make the game harder or anything.
I can't not whistle like Gene after playing Godhand as many times as I have.
What were they trying to accomplish with the survival horror Resident Evil 4 tank controls?
A KMS run is where you can't use the God Hand from Stage 1-2 onward. No Roulette wheel either.
It makes the game immensely difficult. You have no fall back, you rely entirely on your skill and can't use the God Hand in any way.
It's a challenge, but fuck me. It's a hard one. I'm still stuck on mine after a year or so.
Same.
Everytime I hear it I do it after.
What are ya nervous?
I hate the first 2 seconds of that song because it always reminds me of those fucking retarded Kars for Kids radio commercials.
I gave up on my hard mode run when I got to the second 3 Stooges fight. Jesus that's rough.
I remember that, I managed to get 2 of them in my Dragon Kick and when you tap O to Pummel them.
Dealt a lot of damage that way.
By the way. A year ago I extracted all the sound effects from God Hand including Gene, Elvis, random grunts, and others. If anyone wants them. They can be found here.

I cheesed that fight good. If you run around the stage, you can abuse Felix's earthquake attack or whatever, and make him hit Bruce. Then it's just Conchita and Felix against you. It became a lot easier once Bruce died.
this
to give that stationary Punch-Out feel
I'M ALEXANDER. MY STYLE IS IMPETUOUS, MY DEFENSES ARE IMPREGNABLE! [spoier]When it's too much I grovel at your feet I beg for mercy when I feel the HEAT!"[/spoiler]
Probably this, and probably because Shinji Mikami had led the development of God Hand immediately after RE4 and was probably trying out new things with the perspective.
>probably
I can now, but my first attempt was fucking gruelling. A lot of fun though. Except for the times where I got lucky and the RNG gods blessed me with just the right items for the parts I was having trouble with.
There is a chance that he might maybe be right.
Not sure what they were trying to accomplish, but what they ended up accomplishing is making crowd control a huge part of gameplay and also rewarding as hell.
I was samefagging, you dip!
I'm still mad Platinum hasn't made a real successor to God Hand.
Bayonetta is great but it's more DMC than God Hand and that's natural since it's Kamiya. MadWorld/Anarchy Reigns were closer to God Hand and they come nowhere as close to matching the intensity God Hand features.
God Hand is literally one of a kind game and no one has even bothered to try to make a similar title. Especially not Capcom who snubbed Gene out of a spot in Marvel vs Capcom 3.
Beat em ups are all about flashy combos nowadays. No one appreciates tightly designed combat if it doesn't involve finger gymnastics.
It didn't sell well.
Platinum sure as hell won't do one for a while though, since their games don't sell well either, so they have been in the pickle they are in for a few years now.
Also, Shinji Mikami said he didn't want to direct any more games.
Then get a trip code, you trip!
At first it felt really clunky. But after a while it feels great. I would wager like 1/10th of the people who play it give it that long though.
I'm fine with God Hand standing alone as a pillar among lesser action games. What bothers me is when Suda is going to return to form making quirky weird shit instead of otaku pandering fanservice full of low brow jokes
I love this game alot even though I still havent beat it.
One of the few games alongside Yakuza1/2 I paid expensive ebay prices for.
It got a lot easier once I realized that you really want to use the right stick for maneuvering in the middle of combat and the left stick is more for dashing from mob to mob
His studio's been bought out by some company that makes mobile shovelware and his new "game" is F2P shit, he's done
>What bothers me is when Suda is going to return to form making quirky weird shit instead of otaku pandering fanservice full of low brow jokes
He's still doing Let It Die, which got rid of any sort of fanservice from Lily Bergamo and the artstyle as well.
Thanks user, you fuck.
Birth By Sleep, to an extent, I guess. Same for Gladiator Begins.
There's also Remember Me, but that's a game to avoid entirely.
Radiata Stories.
shit game.
oh boy the one track in the game.
they really broke the bank on this didn't they?
Oh yeah? I started that game a while ago not even knowing you could customize movesets. Maybe I'll give it another go
The combat is a lot slower than God Hand, though.
Yep. It made the game a lot more fun than it would have been otherwise. Every weapon type has a unique moveset and each move costs a certain amount to equip. As you level up you can make longer or more interesting combos.
Bought this game yesterday at a vidya shop. It's fucking amazing. Making your own combos and dodging everything feels great, it actually feels like a 3D beat-em-up. I haven't been playing it much because my little brother can't keep his hands off it.
The only way it could better is if I could figure out how to remove this adhesive residue from a sticker that was placed around the center ring. It's gonna piss me off.
center ring as in on the disk?
places do that?
Sadly all manner of heresy is performed on used games in a lot of brick and mortar stores
Yep. Looks like the game used to be owned by Family Video. Least that's what it said on the sticker. Tried taking it off nice and slow and now there's a nice ring of left over adhesive around the center. Trying to remove stickers from vidya shit is the bane of my existence. An old copy of MGS3 has a dark circle on the cover from a sticker.
not imblying you are
but why is it always massive faggots who complain about tank controls?
I'd say for sure.
Just probably autist and leddit ridden like recently.
It'll be there just probably with a gayer moot and babies complaining about not being able to get past the title screen.
Because they are easy to adapt to so to complain about them you have to be an exceptinally whiny little babby
What happens when you knock the guys out of the window? I didn't know olivias apartment was a stage
You're a God among men, user. I've been looking for this for so long
Big thanks, really appreciate it.
ALL IN ON LUCKY CLOVER. That dog has made me so much cash its crazy.
No problem friendos. There's a long story behind why I extracted them. It took me around 6 months to extract and correct all those files. If you ever want to read up on it, there's a info file in there.
TL;DR: It was all for a L4D2 Workshop mod that has less than 300 subs.
link to that mod?
It's great.
Even though I skip the cutscenes on a Hard KMS run.
He's talking about this webm.
steamcommunity.com
I made several others for the Boomer, Jockey and Spitter. I'm still creating an Elvis Tank Mod.
>Especially not Capcom who snubbed Gene out of a spot in Marvel vs Capcom 3.
That still makes me mad.
God Hand is really overhyped and it sold like shit so the fact it doesn't have any sort of successor isn't surprising.
I might just download L4D2 just to use this. You can never have too much Godhand, and I am desperate.

>WHAT OTHER TRAITS HAVE I PICKED UP FROM FICTIONAL CHARACTERS WITHOUT NOTICING IT?!!?
Thanks for the support. I have several other mods, Godhand and not if you want to check them out.
Every possible different notification on my phone will have a different but specific grunt from Godhand.
All because of you.
Thank you user.
I have never knew how much I wanted this.
Thank you user.
Glad I could help.
How can I play this on my laptop? My PS2 is halfway around the world right now
PCSX2. Currently at 1.4.0
Pic related
olivia is cute
We got amaterasu which is equally good
both would have been ideal though
I didn't even fucking know this. Thanks man. Strongly considering buying a ps2 slim
Not to mention,
much sexier than you
it was made from the same engine. even the hud is similar.
they probably thought it would be fun if leon was really a kung fu badass and made an entire game out of it
allows you to map dodging to the right analogue stick?
Seems like everyone forgets this
Fuck, will there be any translation for the other Kenka Bancho ?
So is it better to get the upgrades that increase the number of square attacks or not?
Having more attacks is great but with less the cycle repeats faster.
There's only Sultry Night, Gene's Rock-a-bye and Broncobuster.
>I remember talking about this game with Sup Forums when it came out
hahaha fuck
