Is it good?

Is it good?

It's good like the old video game movies, in that it's so atrociously bad, it's refreshing.

It's refreshing that you can point at a movie and say "That was awful" and in no way have to qualify your answer. There are no redeeming qualities beyond "It has moving pictures and sound."

I liked it, best vidya movie yet.

Huge flaws if you're not familiar with the game and story, though.

And no, it's not a good movie. Especially not if you're fan of the RTS games and/or a lorefag

Don't listen to this rapscallion Sup Forums, it's specifically designed to piss off fans of the games.

the movie pretends that humans are perfectly fine with millions of orcs waltzing into their homelands just because there are also demons.

the movie is retarded.

>Letting your people die because of racism

>best vidya movie yet.

Never played a Warcraft game or WoW, so I had no idea what to expect when watching it.
It was okay, kinda short but not too bad, especially not for a videogame movie.

Don't regret watching it but also wouldn't watch it again.

It wasn't good, but it also wasn't terrible. There are a number of retcons in it that might piss of lorefags, but other than that, there's nothing it does well enough or poorly enough to really remark upon.

piss off*

You should piss off, vidya normie. Your presence has contaminated that board.

Why were all the human actors so bad? How did so many talentless people get hired for such a big budget movie?

>vidya normie
If you liked the movie, you're an even bigger normie

Pretty much this.

No.

Not by any metric.

This. Not even the best vista movie this year. That would be Angry Birds

Would you say it is the best videogame movie that actually stays faithful to the source material?

Nah that'd be Silent Hill.

Lorefag here
The movie had it's shitty parts, but it's not bad
so
yes

No

Mortal Kombat exists

>Warcraft
>faithful

>orcs and humans are best friends forever
it's about as accurate as Christopher Columbus

Felt like nothing happened, and the choreography is insanely bad

It is the First War but there is no way they can do the second war because its also boring as fuck and Warcraft 3 is when the universe started getting interesting because of all the other continent playing a larger role and the races on them.

I think we will see the end of the Second War, with Gul'Dan dying and then move onto the Undead and forming of the Horde with Thrall.

thanks doc

no
Postal is the only good one

It's a solid "meh"

Footmen looked cool as usual and Gul'dan was based. That guy's voice could make me drink the demon blood.

It's really bad. They couldn't even follow the simle story of the first game correctly

They're not that bad, It is the american/australian accent that kills the high fantasy "immersion"

Is Hardcore Henry any good?

What about Independence Day 2?

I enjoyed it, although I feel it should have been 3 hours and explained the world a bit more.

>Silent Hill
>faithful
It just throws everything together.

I enjoyed it a lot, will get the directors cut

One thing that was bad was the pacing, too much squeezed into 2 hours

i went in expecting nothing, i also heard about it being bad

but holy shit i had tons of fun and was actually really cool

yeah some romance stuff was clunky and forced but all in all it was just a fun fantasy movie with a bunch of cool CGi and action, also fan service everywhere

>Warcraft
>faithful to the source material

>Best vidya movie
That's not Mortal Kombat

What was the deal with the "Alodi" shit.

Was that completely made up or was it in Warcraft 1?

I originally though the old lady was Aegwynn but that wouldn't have made any sense.

It's the one part of the movie that just came out of no where with no explanation.

Mortal Kombat is still a really shit movie. People only remember it as good because they saw the sequel.

In one of the comics or manga Alodi is a half-elf mage and first guardian of tirisfal.

Why it's a cube in the movie, I don't fucking know

Still better than Warcraft.

He was a a guardian of Trisfal, and in Legion mages can get his staff for their artifact weapon.
I don't think the cube shit was in there though, that seems like a movie thing.

also holy shit the High Elves look so bad

I don't play Warcraft but it was alright. The first act felt like a bit of a mess and had too much expositional dialogue, but once it gets past that and starts focusing on the characters and story I started getting into it. Another thing about the movie is that visually, it looks weird because it looks so much like a game, but once you adjust to it after the first 10-15 minutes it becomes a lot more enjoyable. Overall I'd say it's about 7.5 out of 10.

I just want the story of Arthas adapted, that would make for a pretty entertaining film.

>W.o.W. movie
But it's a Warcraft movie. Not a World of Warcraft movie.

The "from light comes shadow, and from shadow comes light" shit was so bad

Arthas would take up a whole movie on his own, I don't even know how you would do it while also setting up the happenings in Kalimdor

Dungeons and dragons should make tv series about wc3

...

The mismatched rainbow gear would have only made sense it if it was actually a World of Warcraft movie. Is all I am saying.
But it's not. So the left is still more accurate than the right.

>anduin is a too cool for you edgelord
dropped

bub, even doom was better than this

Mortal Kombat 1 is still the best vidya movie.

Just watched it.

The editing in this film is so bad. Scenes end abruptly without notice or connection to the next scene. It just felt so rushed. The final battle was also very stupid and shows how crappy the fight choreography was.

The final scene was so bad too. Why did they decide to use real actors instead of just CGI the humans.

First post best post

I always figured Guldan was a schemer who worked from the sidelines from what I read in the Warcraft 2 manual. Here, he's the leading force of the Horde and just cackling evil instead of crafty and scheming evil.

Like, didn't Doomhammer kill Blackhand because he learned that he was being used as a puppet by Guldan and the shadow council? And here, Blackhand is just kinda Guldan's bitch.

You clearly don't know shit about orcs.

lorewise the whole fucking film was a total mess

>Mortal Kombat
You spelt Street Fighter wrong.
