Yes, the remake is amazing, the remaster is absolutely worth getting.
Only if you're a fan of tedious backtracking and poor controls.
Where on earth have you bean?
what ever happened to creative box art?
This boxart does not look cool. It does not capture the theme of the game.
Jill alone is worth EVERYTHING!
It's good but not great. Yes the visuals are amazing but that's the only part of an aged game that got remastered.
There's a shitton of backtracking, old ass boring puzzles, and stupid save systems. Also the boss fights are very meh. But if you can handle that, it's still pretty decent.
Yes.

Yeah, it's great. It's classic survival horror though, so brace yourself for the controls, camera angles, restrictive saving options and occasional bullshit death.
If you can put up with all that, then it's one of the greatest horror games of all time. Not even exaggerating, it's fucking amazing.

It's worth it, go buy it, play Jill first.
This. Tank controls are great once mastered though. I can zip by zombies no problem.
Play Chris first.
You really only need to backtrack on your first play through, but then things are still fresh and unexpected crimson heads. After that it becomes a great challenge game for other play throughs
sandwich
>play Jill first.

It is one of my favorite games. You are aware of the whole tank control/limited inventory/limited saves thing though right?
It's not worth it.
This board has a stupidly big boner for REmaster, when it's the REmaster of a mediocre game.
REmaster as a game is horrendously outdated. Backtracking is a HUGE borefest. Story isn't there. Atmosphere is very weak(unless you are into cheesy mansion trope then it's great).
Go for RE2 or RE3. It's somewhat the same formula but in these games it's not tiringly boring. They keep it fresh with different locations, weapons, story elements etc.
back tracking and inventory management is the best way for spooky house scares better than linear walking simulators
The mansion isn't the only locale in REmake, just like the police station isn't in RE2
But most of the times it is linked to the mansion which makes the game feel very stagnant.
>RE2 and RE3 are linear walking simulators
RE3 is the perfect formula while RE2 is the most loved sequel. What the hell are you talking about?
>Inventory management
Literally a buzzword to cover up the horrendous backtracking.
Possibly one of the best games ever made.
I bought it as my first RE game (aside from a little of 6 with a friend) about 2 weeks ago and it's great. Just go buy it and play it at night alone with headphones. And be prepared for a little confusion at the very beginning but that quickly fades.
play as Jill, her tits bounce when you walk
>Backtracking sucks
>Play RE3, where the backtracking is worse, over a bigger area, and unavoidable
Just so some people know. Isn't Jill easy and Chris hard?
Yes, get 0 too. And play with 日本語 吹き替え。
Does this?
Can this lad meme just die?
Thanks for the link. I was always under the impression one was easy one was hard.
According to RE6 fans, you gotta play 6, fuck the rest, Fuck even 4.
Is that Grimeth?
Kill yourself m8
Game looks really good for its age
Nice meme
Stop with the Arrested Development already.
STOP
You have to be a complete autist to play Re1-3 in 2016... luckily for capcom there is no shortage of autists
>Blond Jill
NO!
