Where do i obtain the magic to play video games elsewhere?
...
Never EVER buy reference cards.
GTX 1080 reference "founder's edition"
>overheats and throttles itself because 1 fan is enough, right?
RX480 reference cards
>trusting AMD to make video cards
Wait for EVGA, they know how to do it right.
...
>EVGA
>Radeon
>nvidia literally can't compete with a 200$ card
>tells all their PR firms.. oops I mean "independent" hardware sites to talk about PCI power draw despite it being completely meaningless if you have the required power supply
Top kek
Why do reference cards always seem to have one fan anyway?
How do you play games?
Is this the AMD fans unite thread.
I have an amazing as fuck FX8350 black edition and a not less amazing Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 mobo.
What kind of other amazing things can I use on it? A shitty gtx780? Will it yield decent fpses?
Dare I build this machine? Dare I?
>A shitty gtx780
Nvidia has gimped the drivers for anything older than Maxwell
wccftech.com
That's why I don't buy a reference.
>still 3 months until ZEN
>currently have a 8120
kill me now
>Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0
Thats a shit motherboard.
Well we know AMD has NO DRIVERS so Nvidia must be gimping.
>GTX 1080 reference "founder's edition"
>overheats and throttles itself because 1 fan is enough, right?
Also costs more than partner cards for literally no reason. No factory OC, no GPU binning, not limited edition, no bonuses included in the box. Less than no reason, actually, due to higher noise and temps, and lower performance.
>Thats a shit motherboard.
But a shit motherboard I have :^)
on a console, like every other person who isn't fucking autistic about giraffics
>3 months
Q1 2017
>EVGA
>Not Sapphire Nitro
then what about this article
kitguru.net
Psst
Consoles are computers.
>playing video games anywhere else
Shiggity shaggity diggity daggity doo
If you can keep the vrms reasonably cool that board will probably take a 4.5ghz chip depending on how many volts the 8350 wants.
>on a console
>consoles aren't computers
Okay famo, whatever you say
>like every other person who isn't fucking autistic about giraffics
"Giraffics" is not why i have a PC
Sorry your mom can't get you one
>The confidential document was presented to AMD’s partners on the 27th of March, 2015, and may contain certain inaccuracies. For example, the document calls AMD’s forthcoming desktop socket as “FM3”, whereas AMD’s official name revealed in May is “AM4”.
10 minutes in powerpoint for some ez clickbait to drive up ad revenue
>still have to wait even longer
FUCKING KILL ME
Have:
Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0
Pic related processor
GTX 780
16GB very nice brand/speed/latency ram
Assume the rest of the necessary hardware is there and is passable
would this be a bad enough dude to compete with a i5 4670 (nonk) with similar ram and grafix?
OC the 8120 or buy a locked skylake i5 + one of those asrock boards with the clock generator so you can OC it
Where pic related, I mean the black edition I mentioned, I just was asking this on Sup Forums, so I though, let's ask Sup Forums too, since it will be used mainly for games.
Tbqh the only reason why I'm doing this is because the i5 is starting to deteriorate.
To make them look "Cool" no pun intended
It all depends on the game - for some the 8350 bests haswell/devil's canyon i5's, others it lags behind a bit. Still the magic of the 8350 is its unlocked so you can overclock it and get more performance.
