The Outsider

What the fuck was he? God? Satan? Some asshole who ascended to a higher plane?

Also are the Daud DLCs worth it?

He was heresy

I like how they keep it a mystery, but I think the 3rd option would be pretty cool.

asshole whalegod

>Also are the Daud DLCs worth it?

Yes

Some kid who merged with the Void thousands of years ago. Writer said it on Twitter

>I like how they keep it a mystery
Nope. Devs have already confirmed he was just some kid who got sacrificed by a cult.

Did they elaborate on this? Why would a sacrifice become a god? What was he being sacrificed to originally?

Sacrifice slash whale god the likes to stir shit up to keep himself entertained.

He was once a human streetboy (this is made clear in the game, check the wiki) transformed into a Lovecraftian being. He seems to serve some primal force, perhaps "The Void", the strange realm to which he brings humans he is bestowing his gifts on. He resembles Nyarlathotep without the malice.

Daud's DLC is literally better than the main game, and that's saying a lot. One of my favorite games of all time. Already preordered Dishonored 2 Collector's Edition.

If I remember correctly, The Outsider was just a human kid once. Orphaned, diseased. Somehow became an immortal agent of whales or The Void or who fucking knows. I like that it's never explicitly said. It's as much a mystery to us as it is to the inhabitants of the world.

I prefered it when people thought he was a whale.

What game are you niggers talking about the outsider gets no results

Alright, sweet. I needed something to spend the rest of my Steam Wallet on.

Developers should have just kept their dumbass mouths shut.

Yeap. Without mystery there's no suspense.

>What game are you niggers talking about the outsider gets no results

Dishonored.

>stirs shit to keep himself entertained

Pretty much this. I love that he's kind of a neutral trickster God. Nothing he does is for "truth and justice" -- he just likes to give interesting people magic powers and watching what they choose to do from there. Whether they become a hero or a serial killer, he couldnt care less. It's just fun.

Same. Just imagine this fucker projecting his consciousness and manipulating humans.

>CORVO
>BRING ME PLANKTON

And it just works for some reason but I wonder if there are any other gods that fuck around with him?

>Outsider is just the fuckboy for even more bizarre Lovecraftian horrors

Well, as I understand it, whales are primordial lovecraftean creatures of some sort, and the fact that people use their oil as fuel fucks up the world's magical ecosystem or something. And outsider is the manifestation of the will of whales or something like that.

>muh headcanon

We just got to wait till the next game to see some personification of the rat plague till it's revealed to be another sacrifice.
