Hey guise, where can I find Mankrik's wife? XD
>LFG gnomeregan

Get fucked, pimple face neckbeards.
ZUG ZUG
>they destroyed the barrens
Fucking ass.
___
>that collect 120 quills quest

That feel when you visit The Barrens for the first time, playing as human
>Play on WotLK private server
>Barrens chat is exactly the same as it was on retail
>Realize it was just fucking annoying
You have the same three idiots spamming the same anal jokes for hours on end
WHEN CHUCK NORRIS JUMPS IN RIVER THE RIVER GETS CHUCK NORRIS'D LOLOOL lololllllll
LF2M ICC REP RUN
I'll never forget having to wait for a 5th for WC for a long ass time. We finally got a mage named Charizard. It took forever for everyone to get to the instance. We get everyone in. First trash cleared, and he has to fucking go. Charizard leaves. Silence. One guy in party chat says "Who's next? Pikachu?"
For some reason, that was always fucking funny to me.
you fucker
You fucking monkeys got me all nostalgic
You think you're nostalgic, but you're really not.
Did this whole movement get forgotten after OW's open beta?
Mostly due to Blizz not budging at all.
HUH
HUH
HUH
HUH
>fireball casting sound
fuck westfalls, first time i went there was because of the druid quest
>ever playing horde
have fun never experiencing retarded Goldshire ERP
classic wow was shit and massively overrated by the nostalgia twats
This.
Don't forget to Pre-Order World of Warcraft: Legion!
Duskwood was the best zone.
Prove me wrong.
Yes, I wholeheartedly agree with you.
t. undead rogue
Legacy servers hype.
Of classic? Maybe for Alliance. It was definitely a really cool zone though. Creepy as fuck, stumbling upon one of the Green Dragons, that fucking elite abomination.
:D
>t. Stitches
>[1: General - The Barrens][Tard]: Yo guys where the fuck is Mankrik's Wife?
>[1: General - The Barrens][Nickdigger]: in my pants lol
LF1M WC need tank
Which wotlk private server ?
I'm thinking of playing on Kronus for vanilla , since I was gutted when Nost died.
Not until I finish WC3 again tho
>GUYS WHERE'S MANKRIKS WIFE
Yeah man. Nobody liked it back in vanilla either. The idea of rolling an alt was always accompanied with, "...but, barrens chat -_-"
I tought the same as a perosn that never played vanilla - I've started mid TBC, played until the end - skipped wotlk for thinking it went in a different direction and sucking very much... played a month on cataclysm and regretted it - then played half of pandaria and it was as enjoyable as the first days in tbc.
But also in the time from that 1 month in cataclysm and pandaria - I've played vanilla on a private server.... well it was above every other experience, the game felt much more polished - and genuinely had more fun.
It's clearly not nostalgia - vanilla was truly a great game and totally different from modern wow, tbc maybe it was a little like that - but it obviously took the experience in a new world, with different art style - more homogenized classes paladins in horde, shamans in a alliance - and the overall quality of quests and lore was shittier compared to vanilla - but still the same shit.
RIP world chat
>[1: General - The Barrens][SimplyEpic]: Children wear Superman underwear, Superman wears Chuck Norris underwear.
Loraedon was the only not-garbage, non-dead one I could find, so that.
What are we supposed to do? Make more petitions?
Blizz met with the Nost team. Now we wait until blizzcon for them to announce legacy servers.
>[1: General - The Barrens][Naruto12]: LOOOOL!!!
I can tank, I'm a shaman.
kronos is very good it has 2-3k on avarage on kronos 2 ream which is pvp.
A very healthy population which is perfect for vanilla.
BUT it's vanilla... with 1x
so in order for you to reach 1-60 If you dedicate yourself and follow the best guide there is - it's also implied that you already have leveling experience and know the fastest routes - if you do everything absolutely efficient and you play 10 hours / day it will take you 19 days if you play 3 hours / day and again if you do everything right it's 62 days.
I really wish there was an x3 xp or more vanilla server, or one like c-wow where everything was blizzlike except you started as level 60.
Was there any zone that Cataclysm improved, as opposed to ruin completely? Because I'm doing a nostalgia run in WoW now and the new zones are largely worse than before and the new quests are terrible and full of memes. Oh .and they flooded 1K Needles
aesthetically yes - lore wise not really, it was downgraded.
Azshara>Darkshore>Westfall>Duskwood
The aesthetic changes were dumb anyway, putting a crater in Westfall and not having any quests related to it? Then they separated STV by putting a crater in the centre but all it does is confuse new players as where to go next.
i play with sodapoppin on kronos 2.
be jealous
Feenix Warsong has a x8 XP rate, I believe. Very quick levelling and a decent sized community. Still in the very early patches though.
I prefer the 1x levelling honestly . Don't wanna rush
>wanting a funserver
No.
For the times when cataclysm got released, the models felt like an improvement tho.
But I agree - I could use my imagination and ENB filter in vanilla to improve the looks and then I would still prefer them over what happened in cataclysm.
But most importantly the whole quests felt like some brain-dead hurried shit...
And if you played casually it took around 30 days to reach level 80.. yea...
Isn't it bugged as fuck, I used to play there. But I remember it being a joke scripts wise.
Yea when I was a kid - I did not care about playin 4 - 5 hours / day and leveling across 2 months.
Now I pretty much do considerign I
The commando quests in Redridge mountains were goddamn terrible. And the Van Cleefs daughter shit in Westfall was worse.
Azshara in vanilla was boring as fuck and full of Chinese farmers. I only ever went there to raid the outdoor blue dragon.
Azhara was a place where you spent little time leveling and most of it grinding herbs - and it was pretty comfortable farming dreamfoil and killing some hordies from time to time.
the whole human leveling experience is prolly the best combination of zones elwynn into westfall into redridge into duskwood into stv and once they gave some love to theramore that place was a perfect interlude mid stv leveling mid wrath iirc they fixd it so it was alot better for alliance fuck the dorf and nelf leveling zones they are terrible
>Silverpine forest (continuation of worgen starting area plot)
>Stonetalon (all out alliance vs horde war)
>WPL at andorhal (three-way fuck fest)
>EPL (Fiona and friends)
The most boring areas are those that are untouched (silithus) or those that have the old quests streamlined(Northern barrens, ashenvale)
Yea the nelf zones felt very forced... the dwarf were meh - somewhat playable.
>Jaina Proudmoore is his father
kek
I was so much happier back then.
I never thought I'd end up like this.
I want it back.
I want it all back.
I think the lodaeron areas were better because you could see the influence of the Forsaken and Argent Crusade
Just snort some cocaine - you state of being has to do with chemicals in brain.
If you care about the state of bliss more than happiness, joy - then cannabis is a good non-damaging alternative.
...
Indeed on horde side undead followed by tauren gave best quests.
Lmao so basically in WoW best content is by humans and human zombies.
Yall niggas cray
Nelf zones were the best. I laugh at all the people who played generic human race in their generic leveling environments.
I felt the majority of Cataclysm quests were better when you're playing solo. I liked a lot of the quests because I thought they had interesting dialogue, stories, and various objectives. Although the biggest downside to the 1-60 leveling experience is that everything was designed around a single player, there were no class quests, you level up way to fast, you're more streamlined into the next zone of your level, and it got a lot easier than vanilla.
>full of memes
Blizzard games have always had memes and pop culture references, specifically the Warcraft series so I don't see any reason to start complaining now.
I'm talking not only from memories but from experience from last week - I'm leveling human on alliance.
Nelf is just boring ( quest texts, targets ) - but aesthetically yea it's fine I guess, they're cool.
It's all about - oh help us, work for us like a slave to help us lazy race establish a new home in this zone.
Besides the barren divide, questing was superb in cata if it weren't for the casual "get quick 80" dungeon queing
>Guildmates want to do Scarlet Monastery
>They decide to have me come along since I've never been there
>They tell me it's in Tirisfal Glades
>"I'll just pass through Alterac Mountains since it looks like the fastest way lol!"
>Mfw it took a long ass time to get there because I was constantly dying on the way
We all were.
Nostalrius filled that void for me though
>[1: General - The Barrens][Snowflake]: did someone say [Windfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]?
>[1: General - The Barrens][literallyeveryone]: [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker][Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker][Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]
It was pretty comfy user. No other fucker there cause nothing to do.
>[1: General - The Barrens][Snowflake]: ANAL [For The Children]
>you'll never be a level 12 night elf doing "the walk" ever again
>you'll never hear the magic five notes of the dun morogh music for the first time ever again
It's not even contested and you can't uden lo yourself out of this one pal.
>tauren
Which particular zone? Mulgore had the same old boring but streamlined quests and it felt like there's a disconnect at the end, since you no longer trek out the south to camp taurajo, then crossroads.
Those alligators though.
>people who never played during vanilla and bc talk about barrens chat
Fucking wotlk kids
>War drums echo in the distance.
>Thrall yells: At long last, I am home...
>I have been expecting you, young one. Come closer - my eyes are not as sharp as they once were.
>Yes, you move like my son. You have his broad shoulders - ahh, and your mother's fierce eyes.
Mulgore - it was quick tho 1 - 10 took little time and It was fun, you felt like they were really fighting for mulgore, very spiritual etc.
>windfury 1.0

>you frost shock hunter for 564
>you hit hunter for 350

>you hit hunter for 294
>you hit hunter for 325
>you crit hunter for 543
>you hit hunter for 352
>hunter dies
>poison ticks for 91
He went from 90% to 0 in a blink of an eye.
That's problem though. You didn't need to group up outside of a dungeon to complete any quests. The social aspect was dead.
...
pre-Cata WoW had zepplins in Org? i thought it was just he 2 outposts in Durotar?
>Start playing WoW
>Human Paladin
>level 6
>go explore
>make it to IF
>fall in lava
>die
>completely blank Dun Morogh map
>can't figure out how to get back to If and can't find spirit healer
>delete character
>make night elf hunter
>hate the zone
>spend hours doing the walk at level 6ish
>hit level 10
>have to walk back to get my pet quest
So just wotlk?
Why do you blame cata for it? Because you want to fit in?
iirc in wotlk they added a zep tower
They connected Org to the Undead City.
This is a 3.3 screenshot
Org was connected to TB, as well as having two posts outside of it
Is the starting areas (1-10) changed that much after Cata? I know the expansion races after Cata (Goblin, Worgen and Panda) all have cutscenes, how about the other races?
old barrens was contested
>2007

So what new MMOs are you guys looking forward too.
Pantheon seems neat for a modern EQ clone.

Wow, get a look at this hardcore adult gamer here.
I'm ex vanilla but I think Grizzly Hills from Wrath was one of the comfiest quest zones of all time.
>Comfy scenery
>Comfy music
>Comfy quests not very far from one another thus maximising xp gains
>Spirit Beast spawn near the inn, and another one near the Zuldrak entrance
Duskwood had great atmosphere but its layout was fucking ass, only Darkshore was worse
a huge area of nothing (where the dragon was) between everything was a horrible idea
