EY WATS UP GAME BOIS

OH SHIT WHAT UP

>Hey bro, you like what you see?

I'm 53 and I've loved a lot of games over the past few years. I don't 'get hype' or watch trailers or read previews or anything though

Honestly with no memes I'd have to say Bloodborne

hey ervyone

Smart, the "tired gamer" is a horrible meme.

Honestly, probably Undertale. I wasn't expecting much, but it turned out to be a pretty charming game. I'd like to play it again if the arrow keys on my keyboard still worked.

I don't get hype yet I'm still disappointed.
I didn't want to play Witcher 3 for a long time but I finally decided to give in a few weeks ago. I just reached Skellige and I don't feel like playing it anymore. It looked so promising in the first few hours and then it rapidly fell into repetitive gameplay and even repetitive quest storylines.
That's more what I meant with disappointment.

...

I had the same reaction to Witcher 3 to be honest

Same. Once I hit skellige it was like "oh... more or this then..."

Quit playing for a few months then came back to it.

It's not a meme, it's just that vidya died in 2007 and it's hard to get excited about anything newer.

it's children who only play the surface level shit

Dark Souls 3, D44M, Zelda TP and MGS Revengeance are games that I enjoyed and I'm 27.

All it takes is not getting hyped, ignore all infant "game critics" and actually take the game as what you experienced and not what other ppl want you to experience.

Literally how?
I'm only 27 and most of the games in existence are half assed hackneyed shit. Very few a whole concept executed well. I don't remember the last game I played and though "wow that wasn't missing anything".
Do you just have really low standards? If the game has pretty lights and nice cut scenes it's fun enough for you?

>wow that wasn't missing anything

Here's your problem. Perfection can literally never exist. If you look into game development a bit and learn a bit about how they're made you can appreciate them more

Legend of Grimrock 2
2014, damn it.

I had no expectations, so I was very impressed

>Perfection can literally never exist.
Not looking for perfection, looking for wholly unified concepts. Most games are lacking features that are needed. It's not about being perfect, it's about allowing me to play the game without saying "why can't I do that?".
I've aware of how games are made, and the more I learn the more I want all video game devs to just stop. Stop and go back to square one since they've obviously fucked it all up and can't do anything right with what they have now.
They should have never moved onto 3D games when they can't get the most basic concepts in them right. They should have never bothered with no many ideas that they never got working right.
They just say "eh that works good enough, let's be done with it" instead of actually making it work right.

Faggot

I genuinely like every game I play. I think the only time I find problems with a game are when I come to Sup Forums. I love MGS and MGSV was one of the most fun games I've played in years but after reading all these threads, I feel like it wasn't as great now. I avoid threads about games I am looking forward to or have enjoyed unless they're threads of people having a good time and talking about how much they like the series.

>it's bad because someone told me it was

>I only have fun when in my own bubble
>the moment I learn more about games I realize how bad they were/are
>I don't like this
>so I stay in my bubble
I mean, if you like it it's whatever.
but you're an utterly pathetic faggot

All of them. If games are all dissapointing despite getting praised, the common factor is you.
You most likely suffer from depression and should seek help.

>mfw all my favorite video games are getting mediocre sequels
at least they're not bad... just not as good.

when i played the witcher 3.

I don't even watch my little pony but I am 90% sure this is pony shit.

it's just pokemon.
i think.

You don't need to be excited to not act like a whiny retard who starts blogging about their life

>stop enjoying things.jpg

I recently realised it's not that I'm dissapointed, it's more that I just get bored a lot quicker than when I was younger. The last game that I didn't get bored before beating was MGSV & that's only because I made myself use different tactics each mission.

I'm playing through The Witcher 3 at the moment and having a blast.

Dragon's Dogma.

Yes going from a bubble to an echo chamber is real swell

didn't the thread say over 25?
