I also like a lot of games also on consoles but that's not the point of this thread

I'm loving Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition, it's enough like DnD for an autistic minmaxer like me to be able to enjoy. Doom is actually incredible, Freeze Tag has never been more fun. Overwatch is a good party game that is surprisingly well optimized so even my poor friends can play casuals and enjoy it.
Other than those, all of them being multiplat, I can't think of any that come to mind. MHO is good if you are an autistic MonHun fan. There aren't any good MMO's otherwise, really.
Halo Online is good when you can find a full game but it's all redditfags.

Get overwatch and skyrim (must have dlc). Download mods for skyrim then go play overwatch.

civ

witcher 3 is best on pc

get dolphin and emulate any of those games in HD with AA and AF. is comfy

get literally any emulator really.

this

Pick your favorite console ports and buy them on flash sales. I've been playing DaS2:SotFS and enjoying it.

Total War.

Planetside 2, its free to play so you have no excuse

it's pay to win

Console ports...and uh, emulated console games.

Sorry you wasted money on a Denuvobox.

No it isn't. You can do fine with the starting guns. Less so with the vehicles but nothing's behind a paywall, it's just a matter of grinding. Exactly like BF4 tbqh.

the paid medpack is a DIRECT UPGRADE to the starter one, all the guns are worse

No it's not

>he fell for the master race meme

All the worthwhile games can be played on a toaster

>pay real world money for a direct upgrade that you can earn by playing for 5,000 hours
>not p2w

Okay but you can spend an extra $400 and that toaster can now run console ports so you don't have to buy a PS4

STALKER was pretty life changing (skip Clear Sky).

It's old now, but Minecraft is technically at its best on PC. Take from that what you will.

Alien Isolation was great with headphones and runs like a god damn dream.

Factorio if you're into that sort of game, it's one of the most underrated gems out there right now.

Any of the Witcher games. You can technically start at any of the games, go with whichever appeals the most to you. You can always go back and play older ones if you feel like you missed out.

DOOM is amazing, and plays the best with a mouse and keyboard.

Loads of action RPGs. It comes down to personal preference, but most people seem to agree that Diablo 3, Torchlight 2, Grim Dawn, and Path of Exile are each good in their own ways. Even that Van Helsing game is pretty good.

Remember that you bought a PC, not a console. The benefit isn't one or two games, its the choice between thousands (on top of mods).

Welcome friend.

Replace your life with something useful

Some high quality titles on PC. Please note that not all of them are demanding games that will show off the power of your rig if you're yearning to do so. They are merely games I consider to be high quality that are on PC that I think you should try:
>Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
>Devil May Cry 4
>DmC: Devil May Cry
>Killer Is Dead
>Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc
>Danganronpa 2: Goodbye, Despair
>Cave Story+
>Freedom Planet
>Portal
>Portal 2
>Undertale
>Final Fantasy VII
>Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster
>Valkyria Chronicles
>Resident Evil 4
>Resident Evil Revelations
>Resident Evil Revelations 2
>Alien Isolation
>Skullgirls
>Dust: An Elysian Tail
I might also recommend emulating some games to see what playing on your rig can do in comparison to your previous console gaming:
>Final Fantasy XII
>Xenoblade Chronicles
Are especially good starters for this.

>this entire thread is full of entry level garbage
jesus christ fuck off

>recommending Fable, Boredlands, Spore, XIII, Witcher 1, GTA IV, Mass Effect 2
>no Mount & Blade Warband

If I started afresh from a new Steam account, these would be my essentials:

Thief Gold
Dark Messiah of Might and Magic
VtMB
Alan Wake
The Witcher
The Witcher 2
The Witcher 3
Dishonored
Skyrim

Some random ones that could have made the list:
Dragon Age Origins - isn't completely made obsolete by the Witcher due to interesting party management mechanic
WoW - obligatory best current mmo
Starcraft II - obligatory best current rts

>dismissing Witcher 1
oh the ironing

Dude, Witcher 1 is dogshit.

Maybe next time you could quell your autism and suggest better games

It is a pretty shitty game. Combat boils down to mouse clicking twice.

I already have

>all of these games run perfectly fine on a current 500$ laptop

PC "gaming"

>games from 6+ years ago run on low end hardware
alert the fucking presses

lol so you suggested garbage
Good job, Ace.

>Aurora
>Entry level

It was implied that I excluded my own post

I kind of figured you would be able to work that out on your own but I hope this clears it up

It really is. Witcher 2 and Witcher 3 are both great tho

>all those awesome quests
>all those awesome cutscenes
>all that god-tier music
>all that spooky and comfy atmosphere
>dogshit

Have you ever played an RPG pre-1998?
It's literally mouse-click dice rolls.
No one gives a crap about gameplay, RPGs are about story.

it's the other way around, many of those seem to be part of gamespot recommendations, look at all that bethesdashit

>all those awesome quests
>all those awesome cutscenes
>all that god-tier music
>all that spooky and comfy atmosphere
>and you ruin it all making it boring with the most shitty gameplay ever

Not really since you haven't even admitted to which post features your superior, non-entry level tastes.

Dawn of War.

Come the fuck on

it should be obvious

Grab a bunch of the Total War games, and Paradox Grand Strats. Stellaris is also brilliantly good.

Lovin this meme

Grim Dawn

GAIN BROUZOUF WITH US BROTHER

>>Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
>>Devil May Cry 4
>>DmC: Devil May Cry
>>Killer Is Dead

I'm sorry I didn't even plan to shitpost but putting MGR on top is asking for it.
Yes it's fine but it's literally tie-in tier. It's the first cheap platinum game and a far cry from bayonetta and vanquish. DMC is a waste of time compared to 1-3 from the collection. And KiD is Suda leftovers, his only decent game in years was Shadow of the Damned.

Fuck it, PC only mustard racers depress me. You get second rate shit and you make a deal out of it.

>comparing a 2007 game to pre-1998 ones where the technology limited what developers could do
Sounds like you're just setting your expectations low for some reason.

>no one cares about gameplay in a RPG
Well you just have shit taste. I'm playing Legend of Grimrock right now and despite simple the combat shits all over Witcher 1's. Many RPGs have better gameplay than Witcher 1, even turn based ones feel more engaging than Witcher 1.
I didn't even play any other Witcher games because 1 bored me to death.

Nah. You're full of shit.

Best benchmark test around

>implying XIII isn't the finest shooter of it's generation

fuck off scum

Odd you should mention LoG as it's gameplay and The Witcher's aren't so different.

I tried E.Y.E once and I was quite bored with it. I didn't like the map designs, those huge sewers with fuck all in them. I heard it was supposed to be similar to Deus Ex but I wasn't feeling it at all.

DMC4: SE is good, almost on par with DMC3: SE.

>dmc4 shit port
>dmc dmc good game
stop

You really should tho. The Witcher 2 is great and the Witcher 3 even better. But being honest, if I had started with The Witcher 1 I would not have played the next ones.

LoG's combat isn't spamming mouseclick, there's an element of positioning around, watching out to not get cornered, and so on. Witcher 1 combat is hit, watch the prompt for another click. I didn't even play for more than one hour, I was numb from how boring it was.

The order had nothing to do with level of quality user. I just put Metal Gear Rising at the top since that was the first thing I thought of that I thought was pretty great. The only other easily accessible Metal Gear games on PC are a lot worse in my opinion, so I didn't want to recommend them. Also I'd argue Killer is Dead is a great game. Its not perfect, but the weird style of it all along with the extremely fast paced challenging combat alone make it worth it.

Also please refrain from platform war shitposting.

XIII's guns feel like shit, the art style is the only thing that stands out.

you gotta put in the time

I heard DMC4's port was great though. You sure you aren't thinking of DMC3's port?

And yeah, I think DmC is a good game. I like how environments change as you move through them, and how there's a wide variety of enemies that you have to utilize different tactics to take down. I like the weapon variety and huge amount of abilities you can upgrade to and get, and I find the game graphically gorgeous. I also really like the metal soundtrack, and find the retarded story to be Hollywood-esque in presentation, thus being entertaining as a ride.

console ports and rts games from 10 years ago.
why would you spend money on a system before considering what games you want to play?

stop master race fagness

Why are you platformwar shitposting?

the fuck are you talking about

i'm an idiort

console wars are for children

i hate seeing pc master race because i play games on the computer and don't like being grouped in with "master race" cum consumers

OP didn't even say the words "PC master race".
Fuck off

hey tard, op is just asking for recommendations, posts like yours just exacerbate the platform shitposting since you're giving the ones that really go for it attention
