GW2 is fun what's wrong with it

It is fun, but it's nowhere near the level of GW1. It doesn't have the same tactical complexity, the build freedom and variety, or the amount of content. Plus its much more of a "WoW-clone" than GW1 is

i remember sinking my whole childhood from 10-14 in this game, got all the expansion except from eotn because i was fucking poor and my parents wouldnt by it for me.
god i had so much fun with this game, nothing ever came close to this. i remember being stuck on gates of madness(is it called like that in the english version? idk) and the joy i felt when i finally made it through and beat abaddon fairly easy afterwards.
but it's practically dead nowadays isn't it? i haven't logged in since 2011 or smth

with heroes, but it's still playable, and adds more of a metagame than just making a build for yourself. now you need to make 7 more builds and make sure the bots can use it correctly. with some exceptions, they use most skills properly

HA wasn't my thing, I liked the festival minigames (Dragon Arena and Snowball) because they actually depend on player skill and not just the builds you loaded.

I find it hilarious that GW2 has better PvP than every other modern MMO, yet its PvP is still considered trash by GW1 or Dark Age of Camelot standards

guild wars 1 pvp was ridiculous, it sucked there was no free movement, but it was funny you could literally make any build

the 3rd person camera is a lie, the game was effectively 2d, almost like dota.

It just puts me off that when you put those things aside it comes down to which builds people have. Festival games are 100% down to skill since everybody has the same bar/stats, that's why they were my shit.

Same, played it only for about 60hours though and then lost interest.

The game had a fucking great trailer, then once it released it became apparent that that was all pretty much bullshit and it was just a generic Korean MMO.

I still bust a nut all over the cover every couple of months. I only played the game for about 40 minutes when I got it and went back to WoW.
