I've heard some so-so things about it from other Rot3K fans, but it's been so long it's a must buy for me.

I've played 4 of them so far.

Comedy wise it went
1>3>2 but 3 had annoying kids in it.
Unlimited is just awful.

Is Megadimension good?

The games are pretty self contained but V-II has a lot of callbacks to V (aka Rebirth 3)

I completely understand its weaker but if I cared I wouldn't get one. If I wanted to play megadimension neptunia I could've in February. If I wanted to play senran kagura I could've years ago. Why would I need a PC if consoles get Japanese games that aren't even guaranteed to get a port. And even if they do it'll be half a year or longer. I wouldn't need to wait because it's already available.

and now they are releasing two more games, one with zombies based on nintendo-chan and another one where they encounter the sega-chan girls

Where at all did I state this in my post? If you're trying to compare those games to Nep games saying that the only reason they get sold is for sex scenes then you'd be wrong on that front as well given that there is no Witcher pop idol or muso game where you're tearing characters cloths off. However, I do agree with your point that these are not well made RPGs either. But when comparing a so called "RPG" like Neptunia to games like Baldur's Gate you can see that there is no way Neptunia could possibly be better.

No shit, but when Neptunia started as a new franchise there was no Neptunia musou or idol game yet and they still sold. There's nothing wrong with games selling themselves on the moe when others are sold for the edgy, it's 2 sides of the same coin.

Also you can't compare RPGs made for the masses like BG with Neptunia, there's a wide difference of budget. Not like Bioware can put out a game on the level of BG in 2016 anyway.
