Literally fucking impossible. I don't believe how anyone is suppose to beat this. Fuck the camera, fuck the fire breathing faggot in the ass.

Pretty easy my negro
>camera complaints
babbys first action game
It can be done, but it's hard.
Definitely do NOT stay underneath him as this will trigger the fire breath which is extremely hard to avoid.
The rest is knowing when to attack and when to wait.
The lock on camera on the dragon is bugged and leads the dragon when he's doing the horizontal electric breathe.
I actually found that the hardest part was trying to stop the camera from whipping around or getting suck in weird ass angles
The only hard attack against the dragon is when they fly around throwing the lightening, which can be dodges just by running around, and then he does the SUPER DELAY attack with his weapon while swooping down. The camera is shit here so you just have to learn the timing, I think it's like 5 or 6 seconds after the dragon roars.
Don't panic roll or you'll lose your small windows to attack. A lot of his attacks are "lol delay!" attacks meant to catch you panic rolling. Just bait his jump attack and hit him if you want to be super safe.
My roommate can beat him. And he literally sucks ass at video games.
you nerds do know you don't have to lock on at all times, right?
The first phase is really not that difficult once you get used to the roll timings.
Second phase is a pain in the dick though. Takes forever.
>finally beat nameless king
>have to beat him two more times for plat
WAKE ME UP
>using a shield
>1 handed dps
>longsword
Ok this is totally unrelated but that pic , Suzuki Airi kinda pretty here but who's the other cutie??
Stay in front of storms, hit the head
Don't panic roll against nameless
Lothric knight's shield makes him easier if you need a crutch
Not sure
>Be a sorceror
>Cast soul stream
Completely obliterates the dragon.
Can we please stop the whole "Nameless King is the hardest boss" meme?
One of the easiest bosses in the game, really don't understand what the big deal about him is. Pontiff and Dancer are way harder than him.
He's slow, his moves are telegraphed to hell and back, and his dragon dies in like 5 hits.
Another Cuck 2hard4u go back to your meme games
Don't go underneath the dragon in phase 1
Use a decent shield in phase 2 and realise his attacks are staggered and don't roll too early
ezpz
>dancer
>hard
Try bleed
>fanboys blindly defending technical flaws
like a clockwork
>Dark Souls 3
>not a meme game
I don't like how you have to fight two bosses at once and I only have 12 healing Estus shots
and Phase 2 has some wide reaching shockwaves
>12
You can get 15
>>have to beat him two more times for plat
Really?
>and his dragon dies in like 5 hits.
bullshit. It took me like 13 hits to the head
use a bow for the first phase
One of the easiest bosses once you get this rolls down. He's very predictable and has huge windows.
>constant threads about this fag post release
>finally get to him
>beat him in 5th try
your timing is off OP. Lorian prince is harder
...
My good sir, it seems that you are having a great deal of difficulty in achieving victory in the video game.
Rather than complaining on the internet boards, allow me to offer a piece of advice on how to walk away triumphantly from this noble adversary.
You should try to _______________________________________________summon help______________________________
It wasnt necessarily the hardest thing, but the setting and atmosphere made it the most """"""epic"""""" fight.
It was basically the DS3 equivalent of Ludwig or Artorias
I have 12 for healing and 2 for magic
no idea where the last one is. Maybe in the area after the Dancer that does not lead to the Corrupted King.
>One of the easiest bosses once you get this rolls down.
for Phase 1. Phase 2 you have fuck all for windows
Rings breh.
Need ALL the rings not just each type.
+1, +2, and there's one +3 I think
Huh? He's one of the most bait-able boss in all of Dark Souls you can bait his air charge for fuck huge opening, circle strafe poke, and most of his moves are dodged by rolling through them.
Stop getting close to him and just barely get in his range to bait attacks. Also a lot of his attacks have delays to catch rolling
lol git gud
You just need to beat him once, but it must be on NG++
Spam rolls you pleb
>oh nooo he doesn't play the way i waaant bouhouhou
Dark Souls 3 does NOT have any hard bosses. If you genuinely have problems with ANY fucking boss in this game you DO suck.
I consider myself a casual and not some hardcore super gamer and still felt that it was easy as shit. Play more video games you loser.
what is this meme, nameless king isn't hard at all. he's like Gundyr, a long endurance test that requires you to learn roll timings and get into a rythm. Just do what you've been doing all game.
Name one DS3 boss that was actually bullshit.
>having trouble with the first phase
Your anus isn't ready
>You just need to beat him once, but it must be on NG++
fucking really?
the problem is that sometimes he randomly does an extra move that catches me off guard and I get wrecked.
Not to mention at times he will just fly across the screen with no warning and fuck you up
So none of you guys play Monster Hunter huh?
Any high-rank or G-rank monster is more difficult than all Souls bosses combined. The monsters also have more varied moves, and the player is allowed more versatile armors/skills. The Souls series is like easy mode compared to Monster Hunter.
git gud
not even a troll, you just need to git gud
Yhorm w/o Storm Ruler?
...
If you just want to beat him and don't care about skill, just stay away from him always until he jumps up in the air to thrust the spear at you. Easy as shit to dodge and get a few hits in and then run away and wait for him to do it again.
Works on my machine
>phase one
>If you're good without lockon, you're in the green here. Otherwise, lock onto NK, not the dragon since it'll calm the camera down
>do not stay under him, rather stay within weapon striking distance and roll, he telegraphs his attacks like crazy. Dragon screeching = fire attack. If he beats his wings, run the fuck away. If he flies up, you're taking a fire attack. Run outwards and roll outwards to only take 1 tick of fire attack damage instead of 2
Phase 2 is much like a generic Dark Souls boss. Hit once, roll away. It helps to maintain medium distance for him to do his thrust attacks. When he is powering up to release the lightning, feel free to spend your whole stamina bar hitting him, you can stagger him
fought him like 10 times so far, honestly he's pretty challenging but that's because of his health pool and how fucking wide his sweeps are. Once you get the roll timing down hes actually quite enjoyable to fight. I still have more trouble with all the snake fuckers before the twinkling stone
This boss phase dies in like three heavy attacks + the free critical. Perhaps you should get a better weapon.
phase 1: wait for the bird's fire breath and attack its neck
phase 2: Stay close and circle him, dodge and stab couple of times after hes done attacking
Great shields make the fight easier and you can also cheese the whole fight with a bow if you really want to.
youtube.com
>get fast weapon
>stagger 2 win
what's your problem OP? Do you get comboed by NK's first attack?
Oh wait you're complaining about the fucking dragon?
He spams the same four attacks the whole fight though
If you aim for his head every time and he can't handle it
the hard part is trying to be in that range and not fall victim to random attacks.
Also, why the fuck are there no summon signs for him? Not even a NPC sign.
Level 80-150, +8 - +10 should be getting some summons
Ornstein is the drake hes riding on, item descriptions say he was always loyal to NK and his armor isnt found in a chest or on a corpse, just discarded off to the side because he removed it in order to complete his transformation. NK also absorbs his soul/power after he dies just like O&S fight.
I'm 87 and I an seeing signs but I am getting "Unable to summon" messages
Usually means someone else summoned them before you did
what
no
how the fuck would he go about transforming into a dragon
>what is dragon headstone
First stage is easy, second fucks me tho
>Dragonslayer
>Transforms into a dragon
Uh no. More likely it was just another impostor in his armor like the faggot from DS2
but for like 3 phantoms in a row?
that doesn't transform you into whatever NK rides
It's strange, people seem to have widely different experiences in relation to which bosses they find hardest. Nameless King took me 5 attempts, Dancer 2, yet Abyss Watchers took me 20 or so attempts to get down
and do you expect it to? How would turning you into a giant dragon work from a gameplay perspective m8? Are you also forgetting that the entire area where this takes place is based around transforming oneself into a dragon and worshipping dragons too?
More people wanting summons than people laying down signs, lots of people can't beat it by themselves
Hi, I came here to shitpost.
youtu.be
This is with no rolling blocking or parrying.
This guy also has another video of him doing NG+6 at sl level 1, but he rolls in that one I think.
no shit, this guy is brutal. Not to mention the first form makes you use up valuable estus.
Plus it seems like he randomly gets more range on his thrust attacks
Did you forget the fact that Ornstein absolutely, positively died in DS1?
Chosen undead takes his soul.
That soul is probably what gives him the ability to turn the spiral sword into a spear
Abyss watchers took me 2 attempts, dancer 7, pontiff 20+ (but it was after 27 hours of no sleep, so maybe there's an excuse)
It was an illusion!
Explain this then, nigger. It doesn't turn you into whatever NK rides, it makes you look like this.
There are more who died meditating in that form in Archdragon Peak itself.
Beat this first try solo at SL 80. He's not that bad.
Meanwhile Abyss Watcher and Champion Gundyr took me like upwards of 8 tries.
I agree with twin princes being harder, but i think this boss in particular shows the disparity of difficulty in souls bosses to each person. For me the first phase of this boss is one of the easiest in the game, but the second phase against NK can be quite tough due to alot of his moves having strange roll timings.
Not him but literraly 3 r1's to the head to stagger, crittical hit and 1 last hit when he stood up with the great axe is all it took on my first run vs him.
The trick to the first phase is that your should basically never try and go under the dragon like you would do for any other fight. stay in front of it at all times the lock on will not help.
phase 2 is just about patience.
>Not him but literraly 3 r1's to the head to stagger
it takes me like 6 when I go solo
>great axe
that explains it. I am using the Dark Sword. My gear set-up does not let me use any stronger weapons (I put like fuck all into Vitality)
>dark sword
wew
im fully aware of how the dragon headstone works, m8. I'm saying its fairly obvious it wont turn you into a massive dragon. Ornstein wasn't any regular hollow/unkindled faggot either, he was THE dragonslayer, fiercely loyal to NK. The fact that his armor is just discarded off to the side not on a corpse is a massive indicator to me, also the fact that the drake/dragon NK is riding is unique and doesnt look anything like any of the other games is another big hint that this game loves to throw out, and as i said before the fact that NK absorbs his power just like smough would have done, all of them add up to at least ask the question imo.
everyone said it was godly for PvE.
Plus it's my strongest weapon at +10
literally roll to win
just like every other souls game "boss"
please stop feeding the meme that souls is hard.
Did you forget the fact that an item description in DaS3 absolutely, positively describes smough as being the last knight to defend his post in anor londo?
>fiercely loyal to NK
yet he only protected his sister's image for his twink brother
Yeah, because you kill ornstein first, and smough turns into mega lightning fatty.
So he technically is the last knight, but only for a minute.
The point is if you can't beat a boss with one of the best weapons, there's a problem
Git gud
or just stop caring, the game is ass
sick headcanon my man
He's to random and unpredictable unlike most of the fights. Not to mention he moves really fucking fast in a wide open area
I understand where you're coming from but I just find that too extreme for Dark Souls. It doesn't sound like something that would happen lorewise, it's kinda ridiculous to imagine that to me. My interpretation is that Ornstein, after Gwyn's death, wanted to meet his mentor again and regrettably found a hollowed NK who killed him, leaving his armor behind.
Whatever the case, I guess we will never FULLY know.
The Dark Sword got nerfed, it's no longer the best straight sword. Refined Lothric Sword is better for quality builds, and the ISS is good for pure strength.
You realize that you can kill Smough first, right?
It lost 9 AR
>You realize that you can kill Smough first, right?
Yeah, and you can also choose to be the lord of darkness too.
But that doesnt change the fact that only a certain chain of events is canon for the story of DS3
I haven't played in a month or so, how is the RAW ASS?
ISS as in the Irithyll Straight Sword? It's okay. I just upgraded it form +2 to +4 (need more Slabs)
> Lothric Sword
don't have one of those
solo'd this fucker a few weeks ago. first half is easy as pie, second half you just gotta learn his moves and know when to dodge. after watching someone beat him on youtube i beat him after like 2 tries.
Yeah i dont disagree with what you are saying but the fact that his weapon and armor are just discarded with no corpse just leaves a weird feeling for me, the fact that its the last game in the series too i think leaves it more open as who wouldve thought one of the bossfights would be gwyns firstborn riding a drake who is literally ornstein sort of thing.
>ISS as in the Irithyll Straight Sword? It's okay. I just upgraded it form +2 to +4 (need more Slabs)
and it's 68 points weaker on the stat screen when compared to a +10 Dark Sword
That translates to 18 less base damage at +10, plus lost scaling damage. I think it was nerfed in other ways too, but no one knows yet. Either way, the competition is strong.
