What games have good shotguns?

What games have good shotguns?

my cock

Doom 2
Resident Evil 4
Resident Evil 5

user asked for the best, not the smallest

RE4
GTA4

Quake II

Doom, Doom 2, DOOM

FEAR 1 and 2

...

Marathon Series, without a doubt

>frog blasting

The new wolfenstein (new order) had decent shotguns. You can dual wield them too for maximum fuck

>DOOM

...

Thank god, it's you!

Doom 3

killing floor

if you've had enough DOOM, play some DOOK

Battlefield Bad Company 2/BF3:
Remington Model 870

New doom was great, you dumb hipster.

MGSV, funnily enough.

The shotgun was objectively not.

Left 4 Dead 2

the strongest gun in the game no contest

Postal 2
Fallout: New Vegas
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (SP&MP)
All three STALKER games.

Double shotgun is fucking amazing, what are you smoking?

Halo

The shotguns in RDR are all great. The Semi-auto shotgun is the best gun in the game

the supershotgun is just as broken as the old one. Kills a baron in 4 shells or less

Far Cry 2/3/BD/4

Shit as the rest of it is, the shotguns and snipers in those games are top notch.

Real life, pussy

Max Payne

Verdun has BASED shotguns. The Remington the muhreens get actually functions like a real god damn shotgun and does damage past 10 feet

Halo shotguns are trash, especially 2.

I miss my purchasable shotgun. Before the DLC and map packs, it was a fucking unstoppable monster rivaled only by the Military Sniper. Now it's an overpriced joke. Only really works if you put parts into it and only it.

Fallout 4s double barrel shotgun is pretty damn nice...if you find something like this

What's the difference between remastered and original? Better looking graphics?

I fucking love those shotguns.

this is one of my favorite mods, it's simple but fun and makes sense for fallout.

God-tier shotties

New vegas

I doubt I can ever forget the sound it makes.

...

Wolfenstein New Order

>automatic
>can be duel wielded
>shrapenel rounds bounce

bioshock 1 and 2 have amazing shotguns

>mfw game has shotguns that have a 180° spread that deals almost no damage less than 10 feet away from the muzzle

...

>game has an actual damage zone so that the shotgun's firing could be modeled as a cone with a definite end point

Deva that do this, especially in single player games, I will never understand. Do you hate fun? Do you just want people that play your game to suffer? For what purpose?

>fire shrapnel rounds at the group
>headshot every single enemy in the room at once

me3 mp

The Metro series has a some fun shotguns
>tfw you reload the Uboinik

>tfw sniping people with the long barrel version of this thing
so good

this.

well i'd appreciate of games didn't offend my knowledge of shotgun ammo types and barrel lengths, but that's asking a lot from vidya weeb code fags that actually make games.

so i guess old tom clancy games like rogue spear and black thorn will have to do.

Was this obsidian trying to tell beth the combat shotgun design was shit?

...

>Video game
>Good shotgun
Pick one

>nobody mentions FEAR

CE's shotgun is great, and can be used at medium range. It's actually one of the better representations of shotguns in vidya.

Halo 5's scattershot is the same.

literally read the thread nigger

Literally just a Hawk Semi Auto Tactical without a stock, given wooden furnishings, and a drum magazine.

It's byotiful

How about games with shotguns that work like shotguns? Protip: A real-life shotgun has an effective range much longer than 6 feet.

So most of what has been said in the thread.

Bad Company 2
Fallout New Vegas

Why don't you own a shotgun irl?

a good quality one like a mossberg 500 only costs $300

Because I'm a poorfag. Last wad of cash I saved up went to a computer. Not even a gaming computer, just one that functioned.

It's the little things that mad it a great game,
Reloading that gun surprised me and wanted more games to do that, too many games have the shells on the side of the shotty that did nothing.

Rising Storm
>tfw you will never slamfire 6 shells of American democracy into a Jap trench before going in to stick it to Tojo with the bayonet

But I already have a Benelli Montefeltro

because tojo already banzai'd your ass senpai

Stop using objectively wrong you stupid faggot

>he's never gunned down a whole Banzai with a 1919 and true American grit

I don't think you know what slamfiring is.

RE2 (when you upgrade and can blow like 4 zombies in half)
RE4
RE5 (by extension the first Revelations since it uses the RE5 engine)
MGSV
Doom 1, 2, and 2016
FEAR

The framerate in the remaster is 60fps

Payday 2 shotguns, especially the Joceline O/U are pretty satisfying.

Came to say this. Best purchase during the steam sale.

That's odd. In last light, he would immediately cock the gun after loading the first shell, and the bottom most chamber was loadable, too.

Abzats was much more fun to use

When I move back to the States I'll probably get one, it will be my first firearm purchase unless I move to a state with open carry than I might consider a handgun.

Not sure what handgun I'd like though, I've really only been to the range with shotguns, lever actions, and semi-autos (got the chance to fire an AK-47 and had a blast with that).

MGSV has some fun ass weapon combinations once you get the R&D level up, shame that almost everyone exclusively used the tranq pistol

That's what this thread is talking about, retard

I Think It's to do with when you reload, having different amount of shells loaded changed the animations iirc

DAMN

the tax stamp for short barreling it and paper work pushes it out of my affordable range

That must explain why there is piss all over the floor when you need to take a wizz.

BRAT

You can always have this

Serious Sam 2
I'm serious.

>not the dinner bell

But I own a glorious Ithaca 37 old enough to still have slam fire capability.

But Duke is not into shotguns that much

The combat shotgun feels like a nerf gun if you're not shoving down your target's throat

Underhell's got a pretty good range and you can blow enemies to pieces with it.

MGSV does. I also loved the master key in MGS4, I mostly used v-rings though.

Spelunky

Blasting the fuck out of spiders and bats with it is so satisfying

Where are you now user? Are you studying abroad?

Gears of War
Why are lever action shottys so rare in games?

Doom/Doom 2

Divine Cybermancy

FEAR

I can't remember how they were in 3 but I remember 1 and 2 being pretty well done

I heard that the developers who developed Underhell are the same people that made Insurgency.
