Who was objectively the best romance option in the Mass Effect series and why was it Tali and why is anyone who thinks otherwise wrong?

shame she wasn't the Bioware approved waifu and thus got shat on. why didn't you like that tranny looking character we modeled after a porn star?

But wait, that's not Liara!

All of the romance options were pretty lame.

>it seems this character is really popular and speculation about her face is a big thing among the fans
>how should we handle her reveal in ME3?
>LET'S GET A FUCKING STOCK PHOTO FOR PAJEET TO EDIT

Jack will always be my one, true love.

I love you Jaqueline

The Liara romance was so boring and full of nothing. I can't comprehend why people like it and why Bioware thought it should be the official canon.

Also Garrus is best, obviously.

>I can't comprehend why people like it and why Bioware thought it should be the official canon.
Well it's pretty simple, really. There were two romances for you to choose from in the first game: boring human, or bookish alien girl with mind blowing vision quest sex powers that is described to you in detail wherever you go.

So like fucking naturally everyone would choose Liara, and from then on it's operating under the assumption that players who romanced her would stay faithful to her.

It was Samara by a longshot. Many of the positive thematically similar plotpoints as other more popular options, the added details of Asari and her personal experience due to being an older character, and ultimately had better writing over all the games and DLC she was in because she was a niche that wasn't ruined through community hype that the writers obviously couldn't live up to or community pandering that was prevalent through the rest of ME3 and ME3 Citadel.

Which porn star?

retroactively none
me3 ruined everything forever

the rode hard put away wet tranny one. it had a character in ME3 based off of it

tali was absolutely garbage bin tier
worst waifu
worst alien
worst party member

Holy shit 100 percent agreed user. Good post

Liara>Miranda>>>>>>>Jack>>>>>Ashley>>>>random ass bitches>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Morinth>Tali

You could have offspring with a blue alien, why would you choose anybody else?

Tali was boring. If she wasn't a conduit for learning about Quarians, she would of been horribly boring.

Liara actually has a character arc. Also has the best romance dialogue too, as she is the canon romance.

She's the best out of shitty choices. Kinda like real life lol.

Though Is right, but mostly because shes really not a romance option, so she can't be ruined by bad romance writing.

I'm not even gay but I think the female romance options are better in this series

>muh shitskin Latin American accent alien waifu

She's the canon writers pet you mean.

Cortez

And Tali is the fandoms fuck/rape doll. Need I post the "what does Tali's sweat taste like" image?

>I can't comprehend why people like it
Simple, she's the 2nd most important character in the whole thing after Shepard.

>guys, how do we pander to our bitchy tumblr fanbase
>throw in a few gays, that'll diversify it!
>how does one write this "gay"
>I don't know, just make them reference their sexual orientation constantly!
>okay

I don't disagree with you, Tali's fandom is an atrocious cesspool. I notice you didn't disagree with me either.

If you're trying to write a character from the viewpoint of a typical tumblrtard then that's exactly how to do it.

Liara was written by Drew Karpyshyn in ME1, which is why she was meek and naive and believable.

Then in ME2 she was taken over by Mac "Everything is Cerberus" Walters who wrote all of the godawful Cerberus garbage in the game, (beginning the slog into utter shitdom), which is why she became a fucking super spy.

Then in ME3 Liara is taken over by Sylvia Feketekuty, which is why she becomes a literal Mary Sue.
>pic related, it's Feketekuty.

I wouldn't mind a Mass Effect 1 HD remake.

I adore Tali. But yes, 90% of Tali's fanbase needs to be purged.

So Drew knows how to write waifus, Mac is retarded, and Sylvia is a tumblrina. Got it.

Why would I? You're right. Liara was originally the only romance. Lead writer, before he left, stated Liara was also his favorite character.

>So Drew knows how to write waifus, Mac is retarded, and Sylvia is a tumblrina. Got it.

Right on the nose.

Also, fun fact, Drew wrote both Liara and Tali in game 1.

Liara got passed around as I mentioned in ME2 and ME3. Tali fell to Patrick Weekes, who is an SJW boogeyman but good at making memorable characters people care about (e.g. Mordin).

I'm not ashamed of my BDSM fetish.

Maybe faggotry is more acceptable in 2180 or whatever the year was

Because she's shy and insecure about pleasing you, leading her to self-sacrifice and overall cuteness.
Her hinted feminine features also help. Maybe it's the burka effect going on?

...

The best romance option is Jack though.

Literally Liara. It was forced to develop but if you let it, it makes perfect sense and is pretty good. Like it's been said, she had a character arc and was romanceable in all three games.

>objectively the best
>Tali

Come on, dude.

this thread makes me nostalgic for 2010 Sup Forums

Tali also had a three game character arc.

She wasn't romanceable in all three games, but she was a playable character in all three games.

...

Sublime taste.

Well, that explains a lot. I never understood why they felt the need to change the one shy and vulnerable character on the Normandy into a hardass badass like everybody else. It's what made her interesting.

Miranda is objectively best, interestung character. Ashley objectively worst, annoying butch christfag

>sing-along mode
>best girl

kek

>three game character arc

She was basically a convenient plot point/loredump in ME1, I'd hardly call that a character arc. They expanded on her in ME2 after being loved by the fans for being unique, other than that Liara is the one with a romance that develops in all three games thanks to lair of the shadow broker.
