No thanks. For two reasons:
1- Pomson's Uber drain isn't even that OP any more.
The version that people bitched about on release got nerfed heaps of times. It no longer passes through players (it can be bodyblocked), the uber removal falls off seriously over distance (outside the range of a Sentry it won't remove any Uber at all), and it doesn't work if the Medic already popped Uber.
At point blank, Pomson will remove 40% of a Medic's Uber in 4 shots. At the same range, Shotgun will remove 100% of a Medic's Uber in 2 shots.
2- Pomson is one of the only two counters left in this game to Medic stacking.
Matchmaking will have no class limits, meaning any team can run 2 Medics if they want to. This is a cancerous strategy that's boring to watch and play against. There are only two things you can do against 2 Medics: kill both of them (really difficult because they can overheal each other), or run 2 Medics yourself.
Thus, it's good that Pomson exists to counter the enemy running 2 Medics, because it can remove Uber without having to kill them directly.
I say Pomson's invisible projectile bug should be fixed and its hitbox size should be nerfed, so the projectiles are fairer to dodge for Medics, but otherwise it should stay the same, and keep the Uber drain.
It's still degenerate as hell though.

I was kinda meh about the idea of competitive since I've had enough of Dota to know this probably won't end well, but 12v12 mode is EXACTLY what I needed in TF2: No constantly shifting teams and a whole map from start to finish. THAT'S IT.
No extend map votes. No constantly shifting teams or getting split up from buddies.
Pyro is the single greatest defense to uber ya dingus.
Now those are the kind of loading screen tips I miss from video games. TF2 had charm in truckloads.
Yes, Engie is used in 6v6, but only briefly, for about 2% of every game (to defend last points on 5CP maps).
The stuff that would allow him to be run in an offensive role (Short Circuit and Gunslinger) is usually banned.
In competitive matchmaking, it will be unbanned, so we may see Engineer used more often.
Even in competitive 6s at the moment, the best Snipers in the world have issues countering Medic, because a good Medic knows to jump around like a hyperactive child so that the Sniper can't headshot them, and to hide behind cover so that they can't be picked off. A Sniper successfully picking the enemy Medic is an uncommon occurrence. When a Sniper does get a line of sight on a Medic, he has to go for the 150 damage bodyshot to secure the kill.
Now turn that into 2 Medics, and suddenly both of them are overhealed up to 225 HP, and a bodyshot won't kill them straight off the bat.
As for Pyro, the recent Medic health regen buffs in Tough Break made him pretty much totally immune to afterburn while healing an injured patient, so all his pocket has to do is blow up the Pyro on the approach. You'll rarely see Pyro used in a competitive game because they're easily killed.
Pomson's Uber drain should really stay.
In comp matchmaking beta he is. Not sure if they're going to keep off classing as an option in the actual comp matchmaking.

Airblasting an Uber will stall it, sure, but that doesn't do anything about the overall effectiveness of having two separate healing/overhealing streams available. Pyro is useless the majority of the time when a Medic isn't actively engaging in an Ubercharge.
These things are why the 1 classlimit on Medic exists in 6s (and Highlander has it too, though not for that reason).

I'd actually prefer to see afterburn buffed than direct Flamethrower damage. the class's niche is DoT, yet the actual damage over time portion itself is really weak and easily countered

I am a bit cheesed off that you can't get it for free just by owning the game, but remember that it only costs like 10 cents to become a premium player. They gotta keep out cheaters somehow, so that's what the decision between the paywall and the 10 bucks is for.
you can still play casual 12v12 matchmaking mode for free, as well. It's basically an improved pub

Well, the intention is that they leave the restrictions off, gather by watching players which weapons/class strats are overpowered and why, and then nerf accordingly.
Valve have made big balance fuckups in the past (such as the r8 revolver), but on the whole, their track record isn't too bad. I'd say about 20 or so out of the 170 weapons in this game are in any way overpowered.

it's not a public number app, it's just a somewhat of an android simulator that lets you set up a mobile authenticator on your account if you don't have a smartphone so you can trade instantly instead of waiting for 14 days

Heavy is a great class, the only reason it's used not so much in competitive 6v6 is because they ban GRU and Sandvich
Pyro on the other hand is a shit class all-around, even with reserve shitter and powerjack unbanned

I don't think CTF will make any appearances in competitive TF2 at all, user, it's just too stalematey
it worked in Team Fortress Classic because with concussion grenade jumping Medics and Scouts could make themselves move at lightspeed to dash past sentries and steal the flag. But in TF2, there are no conc grenades, and no class can move fast enough to outpace a Sentry, meaning even the more balanced CTF maps like Doublecross/Landfall are no good as competitive modes
as such, seeing as it takes more effort to push into the enemy team's base than to defend your own, CTF matches drag on for fucking ever

Maybe in Highlander, since the map is really huge and you need to assign at least 3 people to defending the cache. 6v6 is simply too small for it to work.

The R8 revolver was the most fun I ever had playing CSGO, it felt like an instagib mode.
That being said I have no fucking idea why they thought it was a good idea.
Asteroid map is shit though.

While RD_ is a better mode than CTF, the only map it's been used in so far is almost worse than 2fort from a competitive perspective.
2fort has a mid with some water you can fall into.
Asteroid has a mid with pits you can fall into, which makes going to mid very risky. Then it's got a "second" with water, then a "third" with lasers. It's just way too heavy on the environmental hazards, too demanding on the FPS (in the RED side) from all the objects spawned by killed robots, and the ceilings and corridoors are still pretty narrow (though it's not as bad as 2fort, it's pretty bad), while it suffers from the same lack of alternate routes.
It is really fucking fun though, and I'm working on a new Robot Destruction map with the layout of Process at the moment actually to appeal to competitive players. I call it RD_Vegas, here is roughly what it is meant to look like when completed:

Not everybody who has the Phlog has the Manmelter. Extinguishing teammates is important. With this change, the Pyro has the option to extinguish with the Phlog, but he is encouraged to use the Manmelter if he has it, as Manmelter extinguishes are free and grant you a crit.
