Debating whether to use Aerial or Striker with Dual Blades.
Leaning towards the former because DB can't reach shit on their own, but evasion is important when you need to be underneath a monster to do any damage.

what's the theme for this game?

I remember playing the first one of these on PS2. It was a great idea, but the implementation wasn't great. Controls were awkward even for the time, and the UI was a mess.

Played the 2nd one a bit, it didn't really improve on the issues with the first one so didn't finish. Then they went to portable and nintendo and shit.

Is there any talk they might bring it back to a normal console in the future? I assume after all these years they've ironed out the control/ui/misc issues that were in the first two games, it so It would be nice to play again.

To be fair everything, save for endgame in 4U, were harder in FU due to mechanic adjustments. That being said, they seemed to slow him down a bit compared to 3U.

I really want MHX but so does my girlfriend. We've played tons of 4u together but her 2ds sound has broken. If I wanted to get this I'd have to buy 2 copies of MH and either a new 3ds or a 3ds with a cpp.

I still have an OG 3DS.

Should I upgrade to a N3DS XL for this, or just get a 3DS XL? I've been meaning to make the switch, but I'm really unsure if the N3DS is worth it. Admittedly, the N3DS XL is only about $30 more than the 3DS XL at retail prices, but I haven't checked ebay or anything. Will be trading in my OG 3DS too, and at gamestop that is about $50 cash, $60 in-store credit.

Also, I already have Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii, and I have no intention of playing Hyrule Warriors on the 3DS since I have it on WiiU and hear it is shit for portable.

You can play the other hunting games for PS4. God Eater 2 is coming outside of Japan soon, and Toukiden 2 is coming out soon as well. I don't know if as many people play them as Monster Hunter, but they aren't bad games. Toukiden 2 still hasn't been released anywhere, but it is trying out new stuff as well. It's doing an open world thing.

I'm such a shitter but I'll probably go adept for every weapon. Most of the arts seems like garbage and striker fucks with the basic movesets too much for no reason, and aerial seems gimmicky and spammy.

Striker lance is the only one that restores its glorious 3 poke though.

So that it's more comfortable. The original nub has no grip and gets slippery so its hard to move it down/right in my opinion.

Can you honestly say you enjoy the nub though? If you go to the calibration screen for it, even when just starting a session I have trouble moving it down and to the right.
