Dragon's Dogma almost at 400k on PC now. Could pass a million after a year or so with consistent sales. Pretty good numbers for a game that was offered for free on PS+.

I think I've done everything that can be done in this game. What's NG+ like?

Skyrim has slightly better quests and open world but Dragons dogma has way better combat so that puts it above skyrim for me.

Disappointment. It's the same exact game with no higher level enemies except you keep your stuff. It also resets BBI.

There's also a really nice easter egg if you beat the story again in NG+

Pawns are retarded / Constant replacement
Hard mode makes most enemies one shot you until you out level the content
Repetitive combat
Worst crafting system I've seen in a while (yay a potion I will never use but take up so much fucking weight)
Needed more vocations
Not enough gear spread out appropriately through the game / Most of the gear is a % drop from chests
High end Sorcery skills are awesome but take too long to cast
Walking is ass slow for no reason
Map isn't as dynamic and you may as well just skip all of the mob clusters

If you turn online off, you fight your NG arisen and pawn.

Also. at last capcom has introduced the whole new class in the DDON - seems like the famous lancer.

10 hours into dragons dogma and while i think its a good game. I also think its grossly overrated and misleading on pregame advertising in that its supposed to be a huge open world with no loading times. When in reality its not that open worlded, but a series of maps that do require loading times to travel between, much like inquisition. In fact this game is very similar to inquisition in alot of aspects. Which was also a good game.

But. I was expecting something new and amazing with perfect review scores and all the hype. I am severely let down. I will take a last gen skyrim over this for a few reasons.

1. The one map open world of skyrim was amazing.

2. The quests and dialogue of skyrim is unmatched, from killing an orphanage headmaster, uncovering mage school plots, thieves guild quests, demon quests, cisero lol, on top of the main storyline, etc.

3. 1st person is awesome. Even the dull melee combat of skyrim feels fun in 1st person. But ofc using magic was much more fun and varied.

4. Level system in skyrim is also unmatched imo. Even inquisition had a better leveling system imo.

Dragons dogma has good graphics, good story n quests, good combat, good crafting, etc but just doesnt live up to its hype nor surpass skyrim in any way for me. What u guys think?

I tried playing loli arisen and the whole princess arc was fucking stupid.

Because pawn AI and their behavior is an very interesting mechanic of this game.

Yeah, princess-carrying a person twice your height is a little silly.
I'd advise against doing that quest at all past your first playthrough though; it basically locks you into getting the princess (when it's far more expedient to romance Fourneval, for Periapts if you're doing Bitterblack).

Try doing BBI with 4 of the same vocation. 4 Sorcs, 4 Mages, 4 Warriors etc.

I'd honestly rather play a different game.

I was disappointed by the dragon's story here. I hoped he was doing all this because fuck you I'm a dragon, DEAL WITH IT. Instead we get a THE CYCLE MUST BE BROKEN cliche.

There are a bunch of postgame monsters. Why couldn't they been placed in the world earlier somehow? I do not understand why the content in the game is spread out so poorly.

They don't always spawn and when they do you often need to bait them to get them to come down.
They have two spawn points (i think) normally and only one post-game.

Not really. I had one appear in front of grand soren, but I guess that one was scripted. Then one appeared randomly picking up oxen near the bandits hideout in the south, and another one near that giant figure in the mountains, all before the quest.

There are a few that fly around and can be fought if you hit them with a ranged attack or bait them with a dead body.

The only thing I didn't like about Skyrim was how samey everything got as you got in, sure the half of the big DLCs change it up but everything else felt like a slow moving roller coaster with cardboard cutout passengers.

If it wasn't for the things I hadn't killed yet in 7 different ways (8 if you count Vampire mode) I think I would have had buyer's remorse

With Dogma, there are so many ways to kill things.

And you can be any size from the tiny fuckboi to the Fat Tower of Tits.

But hey Modding in Skyrim is pretty good

I don't know about Nvidia softwares, but I force SMAA on ultra through RadeonPro and it works great. Get the equivalent of that.
