I'd guess Hammerfell.
>It's large, only a bit of the north east coast was covered in daggerfall.
>shout system can be carried over in the form of the Redguards anime sword abilities
>Mentioned a lot in skyrim, possibly introducing it more to the casual players
>Storyline wise it's in an interesting position, independent, outside the empire, kicked the Thalmor out of southern Hammerfell almost entirely by themselves (just one trapped empire legion helped).
>Politically divided with multiple power struggles, obvious side story/quest lines potential.

it doesnt matter. even if they chose a more exotic place to have it set, they'll come up with some bullshit as to why it needs to look exactly like medevil urop again just like in oblivion. beth has no direction anymore.

Part of the problem is that they have zero competition.

No other franchise right now does what the TES series does in terms of the open world/RPG/sandbox hybrid. Nothing comes close. Even witcher is a totally different kind of game other than the whole fantasy medieval thing.

Bethesda can be lazy because they know it's gonna sell.

WE

Black Marsh + southern part of morrowind

WUZ

Did you hear about those warriors from Hammerfell?

They have swords that are curved. Swords. Curved.

IIRC, bethesda in the past have said we won't be visiting the beastlands in the main series because the overall storyline is about the downfall of men to elves, and they're just onlookers in the situation.

That rules out blackmarsh and Elsweyr if they stick by that. Fun Fact! Elsweyr is no longer "elsweyr" by the time of skyrim, The Domion divided into it's two ancient kingdoms under their rule, Anequina & Pelletine.

Black Marsh is also supposedly inhospitable to anything other than Argonians, so Bethesda would have to work in some excuse for that to stop as well.

*The Dominion

I hope it won't be niggerland or argonians

lol

>no black marsh
Why even live.

>Redniggers
>not beast races

I'm hoping Hammerfell.

t. literal cucks

>toilet for Thalmor

I agree. I make it my mission to kill every stinking elf I come across. I even got a torture mod and nonessential mod so I can adequately express my hatred of those pointy eared bastards.

#NOTALLELVES

kys nigger

...

what's a good sex mod other than osex

I didnt like Oblivion, sure it was comfy and more in depth than Skyrim. BUT EVERY ENEMY IS A BULLET SPONGE

Like Skyrim and every game Bethesda makes

They weren't spongy in Morrowind.

In Skyrim it was much less common and in Morrowind it was expansion only.

Doesn't matter as it will be shit.

To be fair skyrim did take a bit more of a realistic direction in terms of damage compared to oblivion. In oblivion you could fire 20 arrows into to someone like a bloody pin cushion, in skyrim they were far more deadly.

some of the enemies in bloodmoon were over level 90. in any game thats going to equal a sponge of sorts.

Archery is pretty OP in Skyrim.

Yeah I guess, just I got my hopes up after Oblivion, I thought that they might improve the game more than they did

Didn't see any other TES thread, so asking it here.
How do you find out why is Oblivion crashing when loading a new area or cell? It happens randomly when entering a city or moving around the outdoors. Literally can't walk in the world for a minute without a crash.
Have FCOM and a lot of other shit installed. I'm not new to modding, have a proper BOSS load order and bashed patch.

Are you using the trick to allow the game to access more ram?

That solves a lot of crashing with modded oblivion when the game tries to load in new stuff but can't access enough ram to do so. Same with skyrim actually.

Yeah, the 4GB patch was the first thing I did.

>What's next, giant snakes?
This HAS to be a clue. My guess is Elsewyr/Black Marsh in one game.

Hmmm. There's another mod which works in the background to help performance and reduce the chance of crashes, it's been years though so I cant remember it's name.

Might be worth checking out, google should probably bring it up

>Bethesda would have to work in some excuse for that to stop as well
Like how Cyrodil used to be a jungle? And then it suddenly wasn't?

Not marketable to the console kiddies. That's the real reason.

That's also because they wanted to appeal the console audience (who are mostly underage mouthbreathers).

i followed this once
>devnull.sweetdanger.com/convergence.html

had to use wyre bash and make sure everything was in order, boss wasnt even much of a tool yet i dont think, let alone any other auto-sorting stuff.

spent probably 3 entire days between dling, reading, installing, triple checking load orders and priorities...would not recommend. but it was worth it. it entirely changed oblivion and i loved it. the moment you exit the sewers theres a non-scaled level bandit dude not far from you and if you head in that direction, you'll get your ass romped at level 1. thats exactly what i wanted out of it.

Yeah, I have FCOM installed. It was a pain, but I'm fairly sure I got it right.

now install WAC for FCOM

with the auto sorting tools of today it should be easy to install. i think theres even a torrent floating around with a full install of it thats stable enough to use as a base to then mod your game. if i were to play oblivion again, i'd probably try that first.

i'm doing skyrim now, modding the fuck out of it. its so much easier with nmm and stuff now. i didnt realize how much effort i used to put into modding these games until it all became so convenient.

Yeah, I played Skyrim too.
Everything was PERFECT for about 2-3 days of playing.
And then I started getting crashes, more and more frequently, without ever changing anything about my install. First it started at crash every 15 minutes, then every 5 minutes, and then I couldn't go a few steps without crashing. I tried troubleshooting for a several days and nothing worked. It left a very, very bad taste in my mouth about the game, as I couldn't finish my playthrough and not going to start a new game after investing days into it.

And now I'm having a similar problem with Oblivion. I'm pretty close to just deleting everything Bethesda related and never ever playing one of their games again. It's just the biggest fucking disillusionment when you spend days trying to fix shit and nothing helps.

I think we can rule out Beast lands because they are harder to do and as someone said, the entire elf vs men thing takes the main stage.

I think we can also rule out Summerset Isles as that wont happen as long as the Thalmor are in power, it will probably happen if the Thalmor gets defeated in another future game and the next game feature a conquered Summerset Isles with alot of immigrant races and such

>All those people saying the next TES game would be Skyrim 2

They fucking called it.

i learned fast you cant just dump a million mods into it and then expect loot to sort it out. if youre going to install so many, you need to pay absolute attention. i was even following a guide on it, just like i've done with mw and fcom, and still ran into issues.

i'm still modding it but basically i started from scratch again and went with minimal texture stuff. got the 2k textures as a base, put the parallax textures over them, got the flora overhaul, a few random textures for grass, real water 2, an enb/weather mod. then i started with the immersion mods, cooking, needs, stuff like that. i just did the lod thing where i generate my own, and everything looks so much better in the distance.

i'm up to 128 mods in nmm and its stable as fuck so far. still working on it though and just using loot to autosort my mods.

Anyone who says this has never maxed out One Handed

who would bother?

Consider the following

An elder scrolls game by another developer
It's a game like Redguard, you assume the role of a soldier in the imperial empire, the game is about the empire finally storming summerset isles.

I've seen people who don't want the empire destroying the dominion to be just something in the background and this is the perfect way not to do that while also not making it the focus of a mainline game.
The story will go through the events of arriving on the island all the way up to capturing it and establishing the empire's rule.

You can pick any of the races that would naturally be in the imperial army, you can choose how you fight, but you will only wear your imperial armor.

The guy who did concept art for Skyrim and Shivering Isles is dead. Kirkbride is not going to be involved. It's going look like ESO in the best case scenario.

how about a game about a soldier having to survive on his own after the disaster in Akavir?

you would have some degree of inventory management and roleplay but you'd still be a guy trying to survive and tell people what happened in the end.
